  1. Mark McGhee ticks all the boxes IMO McCall as his assistant? Not so much! Would be happy with this appointment.
  2. 100% agree with what you say Dave. But my impression is 1 man holds the triumph card over all others here. If Hutchy boy wants candidate A,B or C, that's potentialy what we'll get. However, This Fiasco can be turned round with a good appointment as has been proved in the past! I in no way feel smug in regards to the downfall of my club, but watching the unfolding of events over a few seasons had a highly probable outcome, which unfortunately proved correct. Bad decision, followed by bad decision compounded where we are! Don't forget this! Experiences and knowledge learned has placed this board in a stronger position and hopefully this group will be all the better for it. One good appointment negates everything that has happened over the course, but failure could be fatal for our club. History will be the judge of our decision - pick well!
  3. However comes in, needs to make similar impacts to that of McGhee and Brown. McGhee would be forgiven IMO if he took the reins and cut out all the touting for other jobs. However, I'll wait patiently in the hope we pick wisely and don't compound our last mistake! That would be fatal to the club across the board. Pick well and best wishes to the new manager. P.S. Any applicant should be shown the door pronto, if ANY buzzwords re Ian Baraclough are quoted in any part of discussion.
  4. If you're interested in a new manager and want an entertaining brand of football, Russell Latapy would be my choice. Not experienced as a manager, but by all accounts, a terrific tactician playing flowing football and has a great eye for developing youth. Interesting times ahead. Fingers crossed for the right man this time round!
  5. Alarm bells rang early on for me in his tenure as I didn't believe he could Walk the Walk, after all his Talk!!! Nowt changed to back up the possession and pressing game quotes. Granted, he played a blinder in the play off matches and full credit for that! However, so many on here bought the bullshit! A few guys also like Burn Broomfield, steel boy and the Inverness boy saw it, but were shot down here constantly. Let's see what Happens. Depending on what side of the hammock Sir Les gets up this morning, may influence his decision. Is it, it's no working, yer out! Or I personally picked you and I don't make mistakes. You've got my backing. Time will tell, but I've got a sneaky feeling #2 will be the response.
  6. I'm up for it! There's no reason we can't win the league and play a passing and pressing game. If you like the 70's Brazilian team, am yer man. Heard any of this type of Keech before?
  7. Here goes. My first impression of Ian Baraclough was really good in regards to his so called philosophy on the game. However, very quickly it became obvious, for all the talk, nothing appeared to change. There's an old saying, "if it looks like shit, smells like shit and tastes like it shit! It's shit! Ian Baraclough may or may not go on to have a decent management career. However in his limited experience to date, he's achieved the square root of fuckin' zero. He was the wrong man for the job, at Motherwell F.C. Unfortunately, investments have been made not only in him, but the subsequent management team and the assembled squad. Safe to say, he won't probably be going anywhere fast! For all the rhetoric from Les Hutchinson about growing membership for the WS and fan ownership, the opposite reaction of fan disillusionment is on an upward curve. Where we go from here is the million dollar question? Unless by some fate, entertaining football resurfaces at FirPark, I don't see any positives from our current predicament. Just for the record, my philosophy is to play like the 70's Brazilian team. Unfortunately, I like the said Mr Baraclough don't have the toolset to achieve our ideals. Nice guy, but out his depth at our level!
  8. I'm totally out the loop on any ongoings at Firpark. However, I'm confused as everything I hear, appears to be a contradiction to what actually happens. * Signing policy initially appeared sound enough, but lately we've appeared to wildly deviate from the plan. Is this due to injuries or concern over perceived depth of squad? *Why has the much flaunted possession and pressing game been abandoned after assembling numerous new players from the highly acclaimed scouting system. Surely the absence of one player, Stephen Pearson, wouldn't change a game plan philosophy? *Why are signings been made for areas deemed covered, when budgets and W.S. Subscriptions are apparently paramount? *Is Les Hutchinson inputting more than finance and business acumen to the running of the club? *Do we look like a club, building for the future and do we appear to be making progression under the management team? Have we improved? Genuinely interested on feedback from these questions and any further information regarding the goings on at the club.
  9. I slated IB big time last season. I liked what he said, but never saw the talk translated onto the park. The play offs were text book, so I thought maybe, there was more to him than bluster. Time will tell if he is/was a good appointment, I still have reservations, but he needs time to bed in his signings. Don't discount the improvement since the coach came in. He may prove pivotal in all this! ICT were phish when Hughes took over, but transformed when Lattapy joined as #2. Wee Russell left close season and ICT have plummeted! That isn't coincidence! I'd leave him be for the minute, but I'd be monitoring things on a weekly/monthly basis. Hope it all works well out in the end. COYW!
  10. Unable to catch a live stream, but sounds like we've been caught out at the end. All updates welcome!
  11. All the best today lads! Mightily impressed with last weeks performance, continuing on from the play offs. Fingers crossed for a really good performance and 3 points. COYW
  12. If yer auld man was in goals, you could easily double that figure, no problem!
  13. The only thing left to do, is to support the team as loudly as possible and pressure the ref at every opportunity! Here's hoping for another masterclass today. Best wishes to everyone today!!! COYW
  14. Similar tactics to Thursday. However, if we cut out crosses to Boyd and co, we can totally nullify them. Hopefully we'll play no further back than the 18 yard box, any deeper and I worry Boyd will eventually get the chances. However, the key man for me is Ainsworth. He can win this tie in an attacking sense but also defensively. Ainsworth to track back when needed, but to keep the full back on the back foot. Play this game as if it's 0-0 and we'll win 2-1. Go out with a 3-1 mentality, trying to shore up this game and we'll be in trouble. Best wishes tomorrow lads!
  15. Coming your way this weekend! The sequel; Skippy Sunday II
  16. That was a master class tonight. Well done lads! Hope there's no serious injuries and everyone's fit for Sunday.
  17. Keep up the good work lads! You nailed the main issues as usual!
  18. Tonight's the night the players and management earn their corn. No regrets on the final whistle. Best of luck lads!
  19. Servco have already mapped out a winning system for the 1st leg by placing 11 traffic cones randomly across the orc's pitch. Hope this reverse psychology feckin works! COYW!!
  20. I'd go with this formation as well, but with Erwin up front initially. Skippy would have to burst a gut, but more importantly Ainsworth would need to be mega disciplined tracking back. However, his main remit would be rip the full back a new ar$ehole and supply crosses.
  21. Cut out all the drama and heartache, guys and just accept it. Much like the team this season. Baracloughs Bottlers will choke the same way Hibs do! We'll get shown up by servco at Ibrox and we'll then have to endure harassment at FirPark by 1000's of orcs. To cap off a miserable night, we'll have to watch the Scottish media, including Chick Young cream their load at the return of The "Prod"ical Son. Darkened room and ear plugs arranged for this double header.
  22. Whether he gets the boot or not is up to Mr Hutchinson. However, the truth will out as soon as players leave or as I expect, us being relegated. The tabloids will have a field day and fully expect no shortage of player quotes and exclusives. However, if he does stay and the fans are disgruntled, Les Hutchison's fan model is a dead duck!
