    Aberdeen

Likewise. Comfortable all game and unlucky not to score.
  2. Having watched the Aberdeen defence rag doll him about today, i'd have a go.
  3. Another angle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGNlTFu7rfc
  4. Having a quick look at the Under 21 squad. A good few i've either never seen playing or even knew of their existence. Goalkeepers Grant Adam (Rangers) Jordan Archer (Tottenham Hotspur) Mark Ridgers (Heart of Midlothian) Defenders Callum Booth (Hibernian) Darren Cole (Rangers) Paul Hanlon (Hibernian) Ryan Jack (Aberdeen) Ross Perry (Rangers) Lewis Toshney (Celtic) Midfielders Scott Allan (Dundee United) Stuart Armstrong (Dundee United) Tom Cairney (Hull City) Liam Kelly (Kilmarnock) Liam Palmer (Sheffield Wednesday) Peter Pawlett (Aberdeen) David Wotherspoon (Hibernian) Gregg Wylde (Rangers) Forwards Leigh Griffiths (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Alexander MacDonald (Burnley) Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield Town) Johnathon Russell (Dundee United)
  5. During the Talksport afternoon sports headlines, there was a piece about Hibs considering offers for Colin Calderwood and one of the names they had in mind to replace his was..........Motherwell's Gordon Young. It sounded like an absolute mental statement at the time (to the point i was actually shaking my head in cartoon disbelief) and i have seen nothing about this online, although the Hearts fiasco has taken over. Anyone else hear this or am i going mad??
  6. I'm normally one of these moaning, find fault in everything kinda chunts... But that strip is dynamite!!!
  7. Summed up my thoughts. Law looked very impressive. The young boys also looked fairly comfortable coming on. Good wee day out.
  8. That'll do nicely. Few bevvies and sticking some coin back into our lower league clubs pockets.
  9. Stags head, just as you come out Dumbarton East is a tidy enough wee boozer. 5 minutes from the ground aswell.
  10. Issue for me is Andy that having watched the young boys last year, when the games actually went ahead, i'm not sure any of them are really ready to step in to a starting 11. Pollock, possibly. But with Murphy, Hutchison, it was seemless and the boys were ready. I don't see McHugh leading the line for us over the course of a few months if god forbid Murphy/Higdon are out.
  11. We were told that due to our successful cup runs and european participation that our budget would be similar to last season. We lost Sutton, Ross, Jones, Jeffers, Casagolda, Gunning, cypriot boy, Meechan. At this point in time, and i accept there is a long way till August 31st, we have brought in Law and Higdon (Devlin, if we really want to be picky). Talk of Gunning also coming back, but the noises McCall is making suggests that we'll only be bringing in one more. The issue straight away as others have said is the forward line. We've lost 3 and brought in one. We're essentially hoping that Smith and McHugh can step up to the plate. That to me isn't maintaining, that is downsizing. The Hutchison deal was a great bit of work, but my worry is that we've signed Jennings and Craigan up to one year deals, i'd imagine especially in Jennings case, on much better terms and this in turn has had a huge impact on our budget for this season. We got to a final, semi final and finished in the top six. Realistically what are we hoping for this season? Do we put a healthy amount of cash into one year deals for Jennings and Craigan in the hope of securing a european place this season, knowing that we'll have no financial sell on from these players, or do we invest their wages in securing a few youngish players from the lower leagues in England, stick them on two/three year deals and hope to sell them on for a transfer fee ala Randolph and Humphrey. It just seems that every year we're being squeezed and squeezed. A quick look at the back pages of last years programmes will show we had one of the smallest squads last year. This season its shaping up to be even smaller. Quality not quantity..but when your quality's sitting on the treatment table, then what do you do.
  12. It was down to the bare bones last year. We're probably going to have a net loss of about 4 players this summer. By 2015 we'll be down to a 7 a side mob.
  13. Good pricing, missing Morton tomorrow so making a point of getting to this one.
  14. I'll hang off a few years... might pick one up for a fiver or worse case scenario, a tenner!
  15. Wasn't overly impressed with it up close. 45 notes is a bit naughty

    Craig Brown

And McGhee Aberdeen On 12 June 2009 McGhee was confirmed as the new manager of Aberdeen.[10] His first competitive match in charge resulted in a 5–1 home defeat by Czech team SK Sigma Olomouc in the UEFA Europa League.[11] Aberdeen lost the return leg 3–0, resulting in an 8–1 aggregate defeat,[12] which is Aberdeen's heaviest defeat in UEFA competition.[13] After another poor result against first division side Raith Rovers in February, McGhee claimed he was spat at by members of the Aberdeen support.[14] On 6 November 2010, Aberdeen fell to a humiliating 9–0 defeat at the hands of Celtic, which set a new club record defeat.[13] McGhee failed to apologise for the performance, much to the ire of the fans.[15] McGhee had previously stated to the press "Go and look me up on Wikipedia. I've got a track record".[16] It was announced days later that McGhee had been given a vote of confidence to continue as manager. After further poor results, however, McGhee was sacked on 1 December.[17] The club were second bottom of the SPL and only avoided last place on goal difference.[18] His tenure ended with McGhee being statistically the second least successful Aberdeen manager, only ahead of Alex Miller, with just 17 wins from 62 matches (27.42%). With no one giving him an interview and the footballing world turning their backs on him, McGhee decided to donate his head to medical science. Scientists were able to establish the exact gene that gives off delusion of grandeur. The size of McGhee's naper can confuse many individuals, including the Carnbuckle group, who mistakingly assumed that his large foredome was actually a town and nominated him for worst town in Britain along with Coatbridge. 17. And St Johnstone are so shite they don't count!!!

    Craig Brown

I think alot of people forget December. There is nothing embarrassing about defending the club from a backstabbing senile old twisted c#nt like Craig Brown. Never been his biggest fan, but respect John Boyle.
  19. Hanley, Cowie, Davidson, Maguire, McArthur??? Conspiracy or convenient...one of the two
  20. Agree with that. Great respect for the man and what he's done with the Well. But with our funds the way they are, i'd be bemused if we offered Craigan anything more than a one year contract.
  21. Sutton/Jennings a priority imo.
  22. Aye my spunks flying everwhere.. If aberdeen gub us i might just fire a finger up my arse. Didnt want McCall but also don't want the team going downhill and being pumped in such a manner no matter who the manager is.
  23. Would rather be sitting in a flash flood of piss (much like the torrent of piss in the east stand boxing day) than sitting at ibrox just now. Eagerly awaiting McCall's email tonight.
  24. Great prices, well done both clubs.
