Injury prone and we already have 5 strikers competing for places. There are other players about without clubs and there are other positions that we need players more.
Funnily enough, I subscribe to the theory that Injury prone players at one club could possibly be injury free at another,the difference being down to training methods.

Desperation by Brown?? Not a good sign that he has had to go public and probably means we as a club will accept peanuts for Reynolds. Whilst, we may well have promoted youth players into the 1st team squad, it would appear yet again that our squad (as in experienced pro's) is being down sized again, as there is no mention of replacing Coke or O'Brien.
Whilst, we all understand that finances are extremely tight in scotland, the constant down sizing, will only convince many fans not to renew season tickets or pay at the gate. Our attendances are edging downwards.
We could do with a boost going into the Europa games.

From my memory of the hibs game he very nearly scored right at the end after coming on.
Plus, he hasn't exactly played many games. he wasn't signed to be a star performer, he was signed to keep fit for the world Cup!

All I can say is from mid June when we had not even the bare bones of a team,to the side that fought hibs and clawed back the four goal deficit and clawed the Ibrox game back to a credible draw, I am very,very,proud to say that I am a 'Well fan and extremely proud of the men and boys who all played their parts . Well done lads.

At 6-2 I said to my daughter we would leave when Hibs got their 7th. The rest is history. If you left early then so be it, I am not surprised because the defending was utterly criminal. Ruddy did not have a save to make. But what a finale and why oh why did Forbes take the PK. His confidence is rock bottom and you just knew the goalie would save it. Oh and thank feck Buzz left cause he is just plain shite.
I said to my kids that I was always confident that Buzz would save more penalties than he let in in his time with us.

Now that we're into Spring can the sand be removed from the Fir Park pitch or is it to remain a sandpit until the end of the season?
I was told at the game that we were re-seeding as we won't be back on the the pitch for at least three weeks

I know it was meant toungue in cheek but some of the past great wing halves for Well would be hurt by being called defensive. Charlie Aitken, Cox, Redpath to name three.
I'm sure wing half is a rugby term is it not? I recall the early days , our line ups were cosistently
Goalie, full backs, half backs being right half,centre half and left half and a forward line of outside right (or right wing) inside right,centre forward, inside left and outside left ( or left wing)

Did we not renew the substrata ,topsoil and new grass/ USH and Drainage......... I think you'll find we did.
Yes, we had the severest winter in years, undersoil heating worked, drainage worked. Covers necessary? The length of time the covers lay on the grass all but killed the new grass?
SNOW COVERS Are necessary during heavy snowfalls,but I agree to a certain extent about the length of time

Our pitch was laid in the summer and the winter hit just 5 months later! Naw! Geography not a strong point when you were at school? Summer, Fall, Winter... You wouldn't expect winter to hit 12 months later would you?
Hmmmm, Work started in May,carried on through June ,July and the start of August...Summer,from August to December(winter) 5 (FIVE)months! Clearly you don't seem able to count ............ And as for seasons with our climatic changes winter runs into what we called spring,our summers run into what we called Autumn virtually cancelling it out as a whole season and late Autumn now sees the onset of winter..........and geography relates to the land, locations, topographical weather regions but NOT weather! that is meteorology

Eh? I'd keep my hard earned in my pocket if I were you...Our pitch has succumbed to a process mentioned earlier, not of the pitch contractors making either.
We've mentioned also the pitch required feeding, a task undertaken by running heavy machinery over what is in effect a sand blanket, hence, the tyre imprints.
Sadly that happened.
The pitch was dried out as heat was added. To enhance the feeder and keep moisture in the pitch and allowing to bind, why was a sprinkler not employed? Again avoidable,
I'm sure we could have got you to walk around the pitch, you could have started raving and the pish you spout would have sufficed!

St Mirrens pitch is now in it's 2nd or 3rd year!
