We have three defenders who are not top league players in the back four.

I don't think so. We are stuck with 4-3-3 for the foreseeable future as we need Campbell, Turnbull and a defensive mid in the team. The problem so far has been full backs who can't pass the ball and a front three that doesn't link with each other or the midfield. That makes us very easy to defend against and allows teams to crowd Turnbull. I'd bring in Watt to hold the ball up and Hylton because he can actually play the left attacker role even if he's hit or miss. If he plays Long in the same role again we'll be heading to about the fourth time Robinson has faced a must win game against Accies to keep his job.

I never rated Rab Shannon back then but we could do with now!

It just feels like a potential banana skin at the moment. Without the prospect of a big home crowd or an away trip there's not much to get excited about.

Hartley had a great win/loss record last season. Trying to cut the wages of Tait who has covered two positions for three years is the height of stupidity. We still have a strong squad but it'll take some organization and some actual coaching of the front three to get results

Add in the cup and it's worse. Two games isn't a huge sample but it looks like we're continuing our 2020 attacking form while becoming worse defensively. Letting good servants like Hartley and Tait go to sign worse players is a sign of managerial decline.

Semple and Cornelius can't get a look in but his boy gets a league debut after 2 games? Shea Gordon got special treatment and they aren't even related.
