At least they are offering a refund unlike the robbing travel companies who can apparently just keep people's money if they want to.

There is a lot of talk of playing behind closed doors. It won't be solely up to MFC but it would be better if they at least communicated a position on this and the impact on season tickets.

The issue with furloughing players is that we can't issue them diets or training plans. If we furloughed them they could come back a stone overweight and we would just need to accept it. I don't think our current squad would rip the piss but I think with our ownership model they will be reluctant to furlough players while expecting them to stay fit. On the other hand I've no doubt that some clubs *cough* Livi *cough* Accies will be furloughing but still illegally keeping tabs on their players.

I don't think anyone is furloughing players. I'm not even sure if you can as they are contractors?

I hated John Clark back in the 90s when he was at Falkirk. Him and Stevie Fulton in the same team was horrible.

Hearts becoming Barnsley's feeder team would be incredible. We are safe from this kind of shite due to fan ownership.

Being deputy Chief Economist at RBS in 2008 surely isn't something to brag about. It only cost taxpayers £24 billion and led to austerity.

I'm fairly relaxed about it and enjoyed how quiet the gym was this morning but even with a 0.5% it's a big threat to auto immune compromised people and the elderly. No one wants to infect their family or friends. People just need to weigh up their risks and do what they can to support vulnerable family members. The good thing is it doesn't effect children which is hugely fortunate and has probably stopped out right panic.

The one thing that has to be done is to split the prize money equally between the 12 teams to help cover losses.

Every employer has that but the vast majority of people were still at work today and will be throughout. The strain on services argument makes sense but not right now when there are less than 100 confirmed cases. It's been put off for PR reasons.
-
There's no god forbid. 70% of people will get it this year it doesn't matter where from. You can't beat this kind of virus. The government didn't advise them to put it off either.
-
They have obviously called it off due to fears about public perception rather than the actual risk factor involved. 60 confirmed cases in Scotland with an upper estimate of 1000. The chances of coming into contact with it at Fir Park tonight (or even Ibrox on Sunday) would be miniscule.
-
Pubs are still open! Trains and buses were full this morning and will be again on Monday.
-
As I said I don't see how it's safe to open Ikea - as an example - but not Fir Park. Football matches are drop in the ocean in terms of total contacts.
-
Sturgeon said yesterday that games aren't unsafe at all. Buchanan Galleries, Silverburn, Braehead, every supermarket, every gym, every school, every work place all open. But 5000 people in the open air at Fir Park is far more dangerous. It's nonsense.

Game off. Have to copy everything England do. Absolutely pathetic.
-
The talk is that with Euro 2020 being suspended they might try and finish those tournaments in June. Finishing leagues looks extremely unlikely so we can expect a full Celtic meltdown and Accies survive again. Dundee United will be screwed as well which is nice.

It hasn't stemmed the tide in Italy at all.

The Chief Medical Officer says we are likely 10-12 weeks away from the peak. Hopefully the club can handle the loss of income.
-
That's going to happen anyway in workplaces, shops, public transport etc. Football matches won't make any difference.
-
The game being on won't make a difference to vunerable people catching it. All I'm saying is that if we stick with the current logic there won't be football next season either. Yet eventually 70-80% will still have had it.

The mortality rate in South Korea is 0.7% and they are doing the most testing so will be the most accurate. I'm not saying it's not serious just that it's unpreventable. The decisions seem to be about how long the virus will take to work through the population and the route we are going down seems to suggest it might be years. If excess deaths are really worth all this trouble why not ban tobacco? It's all about governments panicking about popularity.
-
This could go on for a while though. Apparently 70% of the population will get it at some point but governments are willing to go into near lockdown when less than 0.1% of people have it. It seems like madness to me. Surely it would be better for vunerable people to isolate and everyone else to get on with it.

This might well be the last game of the season. Hopefully we win with a dodgy last minute set play.
