As Cole and Main both demonstrated we don't need a world beater who bangs in goals up front just someone who can do the basics of forward play to bring the other attacking players into the game and get us up the park. If we can't find a player who clears that low bar then it's a black mark against our recruitment team.

If we are serious about competing for third we'll bring in someone with some experience playing centre forward.

I don't think I said he was useless. Definitely too fat and that's why he was out the game at 32. Sutton would have scored as many over the two seasons. His goal totals in 10/11 and especially 13/14 in worse teams are more impressive imo.

They probably just took him to Dingwall to ruin his Christmas. Robinson is lying through is teeth about needing to earn your place in the team. It's obviously personal or Sloth is a crock. Petravicius was utter shite and still got a game and from what I've seen Sloth is better than Illic who was playing every week for a while. Robinson also played Blyth! If Robinson doesn't manage to get his charges dropped Sloth might come back into the reckoning under a new manager.

Long not being able to hold the ball was our biggest issue yesterday. We need a proper centre forward for the cup game.

I don't think Campbell is suited to playing as advanced as he was yesterday. There was a point in the first half where he made a great run and had the defender turning but as usual his first instinct is to shield the ball rather than play with his head up and the ball ended up back with Mugabi. If he wants to play at a higher level he needs to work on the creative side of his game or switch to the holding role. All the backing into players he does on the ball is chronic and he has struggled against better players a lot this season.

We were already pish then the double sub killed us. If you want Hartley on take off Mugabi. Credit to Accies for a great performance. They deserved to win by more.

This feels like the sort of game where if we get an early goal they might fold. Ideally I'd like to see James Scott on the score sheet and some game time for Maciver and also Semple.

Someone has to go to Dingwall at Christmas. They play St Johnstone on derby day so any other side has a big trek to get there on Boxing Day. Most of the players don't have family in Scotland and they have to train anyway. 6 points then they can have a good New Year.
