Tait played on the wrong side all last year as well and full backs contribute to going forward as much as defence these days.
-
Saying he will be on a normal wage for a Motherwell striker is surely more likely than saying it could be 100 quid a week
-
We will be paying Sammon a decent wage by our standards. I just don't have any faith in the manager who picked the team that goes us knocked out the cup. And why he keeps on playing an unfit McCormack is completely beyond me. A few wins over absolute bottom six dross doesn't change that especially as it has been mainly down to academy products. We will see how we do against the better sides.
-
Two keepers and three centre backs there. He was reluctant to play Tanner until he had to (see also Turnbull and Campbell). The jury is still out on Gorrin until he plays some better teams and Johnson is a dud. The issues are that we haven't had a left back in two years and he doesn't seem capable of signing anyone who can make an impact in the final third.
-
The question about Robinson now is will his fifth transfer window be any better than his first four? Can the man who thought Connor Sammon was a legitimate signing bring in the players we need this summer......
-
I would have Frear in ahead of Ayiribi at the moment but for next season it would be good to have a fully fit Tanner or another player like him and Hastie who are comfortable coming inside and getting involved rather than a touchline hugger like Frear who can be nullified by a decent full back. Frear has never really turned up against the better teams in the league but he has a chance to do that in the next run of games.
-
He's only scored two league goals in two years.
-
He has a contract for next season and i'd say it's the right decision. Given that 80% of the players we sign seem to be absolutely hopeless and unable to pass the ball gambling on a technically gifted player is worth it.
-
I'd say Carson. He's better on corners/crosses and his kicking is much better. The answer is probably the one that will sign an extension.

2018/19 game 25: St Mirren (A) Wednesday 6th February

I'd bring in Livingstone for this one. Put Tait back to right back and see how it goes in what is one of our simpler fixtures before the split. Hopefully Scott gets game time through the middle as well. -
Tanner would be great in the current set up playing with Hastie and Turnbull. I expect him to be here next season to give pre season a go and try to kickstart his career.
-
You think we tried to play football on the deck at Livi?
-
We should be doing everything we can to get Aldred signed up regardless of anything else.
-
Hopefully he can pass the medical. Aldred, Dunne, McHugh and Donnelly is plenty cover for centre half until the end of the season.
-
Hartley hasn't been fit for 12 months and doesn't exactly look like he is training hard now. If we can get him off the wage bill it would be a smart move.
-
There is zero chance of McGhee and Ronnie McDonald working together. It will be someone who will keep their mouth shut and their head down.

2018/19 Game 24: Livingston (H) Saturday 2nd February

I'd start Frear and Hastie. Frear made a difference on Saturday while Ayiribi was poor. -
Main looks like a man under pressure. He's barely scored all season, has been in and out the team and is out of contract in the summer. He is obviously thinking he needs a few goals to get a deal somewhere and it seems to be affecting his game.
-
I'd like to hear him say "Eddie May was shite for Motherwell".

2018'19 Game 23:Dundee (A) Saturday 26th January 2019

The keeper was in a terrible position. Campbell should have put his foot through it, worst case a by kick. He managed to run it out for a throw which is comically bad. -

Misread that. Burrows will be judged on how he invested our cup finals windfall so the jury will be out for a while. -

Not a great performance today and we should have been punished but Dundee's shooting was abysmal. Tait, Aldred, Campbell and Turnbull played well. Rodriguez had a great second half and Hastie caused a few problems despite not getting much service. The final few minutes were ridiculous with Gilliespie giving away a needless corner, Campbell refusing to shoot when he had the whole to goal to aim at and the keeper in a terrible position and Grimshaw hitting possibly the worst pass ever. The pressure of relegation is off now so hopefully we'll see a bit more football and a lot less of the shite long balls and goal kicks out for a shy we saw today. -

Anyone who watches our us regularly will see a team who's attacking strategy is basically hope for the best and see what happens. We are utterly clueless on the ball beyond trying to win second balls high up the park and make something happen. The goal we scored today was built out the back but it took a full hour for us to actually pass the ball out of the back and it took a wee bit of initiative from Frear to spark the move which I doubt was down to Robinson because it was a total one off. He's out his depth because he picked the team that played Ross County and didn't see it was going to be a disaster. He's out his depth because we haven't had a left back for 18 months and there is no sign he is that bothered about brining one in. -

The traffic at Perth was brutal. Heard on the radio the team only arrived at 2. -
Neil Lennon apparently out on his arse at Hibs for homophobic abuse of Dempster. It's going to be difficult for his media pals to explain that away but i'm sure they will rise to the occasion.
