carswell made more tackles in 45 minutes than a few of rest of them have made all season. i thought he played very well, hopefully we've seen the last of hateley in midfield.
  3. 3 wins in 14 games this season, mccall is under pressure imo. starting 4-5-1 today was a joke, who in their team are afraid of? higdon is too lazy and immobile to play as a lone striker and it was clear from the off that webster and zaliukas would have the cigars out. the only positive was carswell coming on in the second half, the midfield three were a shambles in the first half and nicky law in particular needs to take a good look at himself, every time he plays in a 3 in centre mid he disapears. humphrey didn't look as inept as usual today but he got great service and must have been one on one with grainger a dozen times and only created two chances. as long as our main tactic is getting the ball out to him on the right we'll struggle, he's not good enough to be the focal point of our team. 6 goals in 140 odd games from spends the entire game up the park, the sooner he is out of fir park the better. mccall's stock is declining rapidly. he failed miserably in the transfer market this summer, his public relations have been piss poor and his team selections and tactics this season have been terrible. looking at the subs today 1. rather than sub carswell straight on at the injury he ended up finishing the half with ten men with carswell standing waiting to come on 2. ojaama on far too late to make an impact 3. law does nothing in the centre for 85 mins then plays left mid for 3 minutes and almost scores then gets subbed off for the disgrace that is omar daley.
  4. josh watt on loan to airdrie. i've seen him a few times and he looks a good prospect, decent pace and technically good with both feet. i thought he would have pushed on a bit this season but it doesn't seem to have been happening for him. hopefully the loan works out well for him.
  5. if the number of vouchers given out matched the number of people who paid in we would be getting into the rearranged game with our season tickets. i don't believe leeann when she says that the stewards made a mistake, it makes no sense that they would refuse season ticket holders on their own initiative and they seemed very sure of what they were doing. unless the miscommunication happened further up the command chain than they guys passing out the tickets i'm not buying it. i think they've put a bit of faith in season ticket holders not to grab vouchers then realised that they have given out hundreds more vouchers than the number of people who paid in and went into damage limitation mode. what i would have done is let people in with season tickets and vouchers and anyone who wants a refund has to register at fir park via email or letter then come up with photo id and proof of address to get the cash which isn't much hassle if you want your 20 quid back but is probably too much hassle for a free 20 quid for any season ticket holder who wants to rip off the club.
  6. it sounds to me like the original plan by the club was to only give patg punters vouchers but due to the number of season ticket holders that grabbed them they had to change their plan. considering the fact that the voucher is effectively a 20 quid note it would make sense that they were trying to limit how many they gave out.
  7. the stewards at the east stand were saying that only people without season tickets were to take vouchers. i assumed they were doing that because they have to offer a full refund to patg punters as the game never started. i'm 99% certain the club will do the right thing and if not then the well society meeting will be interesting
  8. i'd just send united the money we took off their fans at the turnstyle and tell them to sort it out.
  9. lights in the dressing room would probably help. i had a text message sent to my house phone by scottish power on thursday apologising for potential power outages due to maintenance. you would have expected them to ensure that a major event in the area wouldn't be affected. do the club have to give out refunds? letting people into the rearranged game is ok but no use to those who can't make it midweek. i would hope the club will give anyone who wants one a full refund.
  10. maybe i shouldn't have but i'm not naming any names. i don't think anyone who has been part of a football team would be surprised that humphrey is a frustrating player to play alongside.
  11. that's it. there are players in our team when asked about playing with humphrey have made it clear they don't rate him. not suprising imo.
  12. i think jamie has near enough given up on his motherwell career. i can't blame him though, if your sitting on the bench watching humphrey, daley and ojamma masquerade as footballers then it's going to drag you down. i know for a fact that humphrey isn't rated by a few of his team mates and i imagine that ojamma will be the same.
  13. i think he is a tactically inept simpleton but that seems fair comment.

    Bluster

you are talking shite about andrew wilson. congratulating the winners of a match is just good manners. i sense some anger about the motherwell supporters trust being made redundant here. are you still boycotting the society?
  15. imagine doing your share of defensive work and protecting the 19 year old left back. disgraceful. the only half chance we made in the game today was murphy knocking the ball across the 6 yard box which higdon must have been distracted by a pie in the south stand not to get on the end of.
  16. sent off even though he only committed a single soft foul in 90 minutes? what game were you watching. he was caught out at the first goal but tour genius manager has to take the blame for that due to having hateley chase commons around the park rather than keep a tight back 4. the 15 minutes in the second half we played without a right back were beyond belief. ojamma plays football like an autistic ten year old. he must have been on a serious course of peds to make the impact he did in january. now he is nowhere near as sharp and the entire league has figured out that he can't use his left foot and can only turn one way zoolander style. he is destined to be known as the estonian ross forbes.
  17. randolph and zfa can hold their heads up. lasley and hutchy were decent at times. the players are the least of our worries. mcccall shows nothing that suggests he is a good manager. today's tactics, starting line up and substitutions were all miles out. he took over a strong squad full of leaders and without craggs and jenno we are suffering. ramsden - never a midfielder. barely played a pass and only won one tackle i can remember and that was when he was at cb. the phrase one paced could have been invented for this guy. nicky law - hid for the time he was on the park, when mccall takes his best boy off you know he is struggling. it's deja vu but we need to get law playing for the team rather than the team setting up so law can do whatever he wants. higdon - back to his usual self today. still better than last year's farce but everytime he is on the ball it's with his back to goal heading back towards randolph. utterly hopeless as a lone striker. humphrey - the guy's presence on the park is making a mockery of our entire club. every time he starts we are playing a man down. daley - makes andy roddie look like platini. needs deported. cummins - i like him and i think he looks the art 95% of the time but the other 5% is killing us. he seems to be choosing the lazy/easy option too often just now. everyone on here could see he needed dropped but mccall decided to let him get sent off and score an og. i'd have page in ahead of him right now. we are in a decent position and it could be much worse - dundee united - but we shouldn't be concentrating on what other teams are doing. we don't have huge quality but we have enough to do well in this league, across 9 domestic games we have been disappointing. i'm finding it difficult to imagine mccall turning things around.
  18. The 15 minutes we played without a right back were interesting.
  19. that's what happens when you put the mentally ill in charge of a football club.
  20. I don't think las has the legs for that any more. After all the red cards last season he seems to have wised up that he is too slow now to win the ball the way he used to. This season he has reminded me of the way phil o'donnell played under mcghee
  21. We managed to sign jennings on a lower wage than when he left so it's not impossible to bring decent players in. We don't need a world beater anyway just a leitch style ball winner who can protect the back 4. Being polite lasley is being more economical with his efforts this season, hateley isn't sharp enough and law flits in and out. None of them are capable of doing jenno's job. Carswell looks the best option for a defensive role but their is no chance mccall will give him a run.
  22. If he's been looking for a ball winning centre midfielder for 3 months+ and can't find someone better than hateley then i'd say it reflects badly on him. Everyone would agree that replacing jenno should have been top priority of the summer and mccall has failed to do that whatever you dress it up
  23. yet he spunked all the available income on a defender who doesn't even start? surely the only reason we don't have a new centre mid is because we can't afford one, if mccall has the money sitting and still can't get anyone in it's not much better.
  24. so trying to go through a season with one recognised centre midfielder (who is 33 and a card magnet) isn't negligent?
  25. i doubt he sees it that way but the way he treats some players reminds me of billy davies managing his brother john years ago.
