  1. you never know they might hang around to boo us like they did with porto. it could even get them another fair play award.
  2. no because that's our end of the stadium and the polis will be making every tim approach the ground from the toryglen side... aye it'll be hoaching with the bastards.
  3. how could i forget! add in his son as well.
  4. it would also be good know what kind of order the club are going to use sell seats. i'll be looking for something in the singing section between about R and RR. nae luck to anyone who goes up there first thing on monday morning and gets hit with the front or the back row.
  5. aye if we win the beach balls and shades should be out at tannadice the following week. get it right up houston, thompson and a few thousand braindeads dundonians this would be a great game to win. we haven't beat them in nine and a half years, we need to get the monkey of our back. it would also mean we will have defeated all 11 other spl teams this season.
  6. i think a lot of people are underestimating how many people want to go to this just for a day out. my dad goes to the home games with his mates and sometimes goes to away games with me and my brother. he's ran a 20 seater to both semi finals for him and his mates but is juking that this time and taking my mum , some welsh guy and his missus and a few folk from teuchtarland. that's one guy that usually goes to games and he's bringing an extra 5 or 6 bodies who aren't really interested in the club. i'm sure that's not an uncommon thing. add in the amount of people who will want to take their kids, nephews and nieces ect and it's quite feasible we could have sold 20k. i've also spoke to quite a few casual old firm fans who couldn't find their way to ibrox or parkhead but who want to come along to the final to support the town. i'm sorted for a ticket but i'm getting a bit downhearted thinking it's going to be an absolutely shite atmosphere.
  7. he was absolutely dire in the 2 games against us at at fir park so it's not that much of a boost. i don't understand this. a broken leg or ankle isn't that big a deal in the scheme of things. ledley will still be picking up 20 grand a week and will no doubt have some right good painkillers. fuck him.
  8. it was falkirk about 7 years ago.
  9. it won't sound any louder than at the semi and will probably be quieter as the fans who normally go to games and will be getting worked up and behind the team will sitting miles apart seperated by people who couldn't really give a toss. let's just hope that only people who will actually sing buy for the singing section as we are already at a massive disadvantage and are pretty much the away side. celtic will have the celtic end, the entire north stand and no doubt the majority of the corporate and members tickets. it's likely we will only have 30% of the touchline and they'll have 70%, pretty much the situation when celtic are the away team at ibrox. if our end is heavily infiltrated by celtic fans someone should be getting their p45. this is a bigger occassion. there will be more people wanting to go and tims attempting to infiltrate as well. there should be another level of sales to fans who don't have season tickets this season that are on the database before it goes totally public.
  10. aye but it's the fact that 3/4s of their support disapeared due to a bad season. anyway the cup final isn't about giving fans a day out it's about an even contest at a neutral venue. that's why we should have the option of 50/50. we better not all be stuck behind the goals.
  11. i was at parkhead on a wednesday night about a year ago and you'd be lucky if there was 15 thousand there. fuck celtic fans!
  12. fair enough you weren't here back in 2005 but you must have seen the pictures where there are more celtic fans than motherwell fans in the cooper. there were also a few fights in the east and i'm sure there would have been more if we hadn't scored. that the club let us down that day is undeniable and there were a good number of rangers fans in our end at ibrox last may as i am sure you are aware as you were sitting in our section. surely the way to do it is season ticket holders then from the ground to people on the database. you know who was at the semis and the euro matches this season, it shouldn't be too difficult. if you put the tickets in the hands of known motherwell fans they will end up with the correct people. an online ballot will encourage celtic fans from all over scotland and beyond to enter. it will also encourage people to enter friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to increase their chances of getting a ticket.
  13. agreed. i've got a season ticket so i'm guaranteed a ticket but i won't be happy at all if loyal fans lose out here. if this system is a shambles it must be made clear it is unaccpetable and rectified.
  14. that's not the issue it's not doing anything to ensure that the fans who don't have season tickets but attend regularly get them ahead of casual fans, neutrals and tims.
  15. if it is an open website then any it's a certainty that you will see threads appear about it on tim websites and that a lot of them will sign up for it, especially since they look like winning their first league title in 3 years. we need more details.
  16. i'm sure there will be people wanting to go who haven't bought any tickets, especially since they generally only take the name of the buyer for multiple sales. i personally have a season ticket and sit with my brother who also has one and our mate who doesn't have one this season. how do we go about getting 3 tickets together? and the club have let us down badly in terms of segregation twice in recent years. firstly on skippy sunday where our goals probably prevented a minor riot in the east and on the final day of last season when our end was full of rangers fans (including some relatives of club employees). surely it will be very easy for celtic fans to register on this site?
  17. how many tickets can a season ticket holder buy? what procedures are in place to stop celtic fans registering in our ballot?
  18. why would you go if you don't think we can win?
  19. save the marches for europe. from just a practical point of view the traffic will be bad enough around hampden without shutting roads so we can march down them.
  20. i think it will actually work against us. the people that make noise and are vocal will be spread thinner round our section and the atmosphere will suffer for it. i don't think many people who weren't at the semi will be up leading the singing.
  21. jim hamilton is an arsehole. he was an arsehole on his debut when we got a pen and he physically wouldn't let kevin mcbride who had never missed a pen take one then went on to miss it himself. he was even more of an arsehole when he walked out to go to dunfermline then came back to fir park and tried to rough up reynolds and gave him loads of verbals. in the boxing day game at east end park he spat the dummy when we went two nil up and got a red for deliberaltely elbowing craigan in the head. it still pisses me off that he captained us on a good number of occasions.
  22. keep it up. you've been wrong all the way so far. there's no way it's going to be revenge for skippy sunday either. who will be on the park that was a mhank back in may 05? maloney and mulgrew is about all i can think of. i doubt ki, kayal, commons and roberto carlos will know about it or give a fuck. if they bring it up they should be reminded that their captain, the lego eater, spent that glorious may afternoon lieing down to rangers.
  23. the ticket office at fir park has one lassie who works in it, one computer, one ticket printing machine and one debit/credit card facility. even if the lassie could make 30 sales an hour the ticket office would have to be open 24 hours a day for 25 days to process 18,000 individual ticket sales. multiple sales are the way forward.
  24. that's partly why i said lower levels: junior, amatuer, eos, sos, highland. there are thousands of guys playing every weekend, some of them must be decent candidates to ref at a high level.
