We could afford Sean Goss, KVV, Hartley, Aldred on previous lower turnovers and overall wage spends. We need to stop spending money on poor players and implement a way of assessing players by stats/data so that it just doesn't come down to whether Kettlewell's in the kind of mood where he'll talk utter pish for 25 minutes then decide to hang on hat on Theo Bair for two years. We re-signed Barry Maguire when putting sentiment aside it was obvious he wasn't good enough to play midfield in our league. We should have systems in place to make sure that can't happen again. Josh Morris was never going to perform for us and is now out of football but we were somehow building around him. All these telegraphed mistakes are exactly what is holding us back.

The current Hibs manager was interviewed on the shortlist when Hammell got the job. Alexander took the job with decent experience. We can get a manager who's not a youth coach. Scouting/recruitment is different but there's no reason to stick with someone who hasn't delivered. Whoever suggested Wilkinson should be out the door, I'm sure there would be plenty of people who would want the job.

Also there's no way St Mirren really have an average of 6500. They will have gave out loads of free kids season tickets.

I don't think we are desperately seeking outside investment but if someone is daft enough to give us money obviously we will take it.

We have outperformed Ross County, Kilmarnock, Dundee United with their rich owners. We don't have a Bowie or McGregor in our support. The Browns want out of St Johnstone. Santa is realer than the imaginary multi millionaire that some our support seem to think is on the horizon.

How? It's not an experiment. As a fan owned club we have reached cup finals, finished 3rd, avoided relegation. Plenty of millionaire owned clubs in the same time period have failed to do that. The only type of buyer we will get are shady types like Livi and Accies that will use the club to move money around and skim whatever they can. Again if we sign a decent striker rather than Obika and Wilkinson, sign better a midfielder than Paton and bring in a centre back like Hartley or Aldred no one is talking about owner models.

Alexander got us into top 6 and Europe from the bottom of the league. It would have been ridiculous to sack him before the Sligo game. The only changes that matter at the club are manager and player recruitment. All our income streams - tickets, TV money, commercial, player sales - are impacted by on field results more than anything else. Bringing in better players is the only way to improve our financial position, the idea that someone is going to invest or use magic business skills to transform our position is a pipe dream. The reality is that we will always be financially behind 5 or 6 clubs but we should also be able to stay in the league. If things go our way we can get top six or a cup run. The gap between us Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen is only going to get bigger.

If we had 6 more points no one would be talking about directors or chairman. Hopefully this isn't connected to results or moans and groans from the support.

Were we not on a crazy bad run the last time we beat them in the league on Boxing Day 2002? They are over confident, talking about quadruples and taking over Dublin. Someone will burst their bubble.

He's playing Mika up front himself to fit in three guys in midfield who add very little. Bair should have started up top with Mika today after getting the assist last week. A new manager might be able to send out a team that can create a chance or even score a goal in the first half of a game which Kettlewell clearly cannot do.

A decent performance but still 14 without a victory. Kettlewell still needs to win before he loses. It looks like a P45 for Christmas next week. Good performances from Davor, Gent, Blaney and Spencer. Spencer back on form and Blaney had his best game so far for us. Big Bevis never makes it look easy but we are far better with him in the team than out.

He missed in the shoot out losses against Hibs and St Mirren when he was here so he owed us that.

There's been something like 60 minutes of second half stoppage time in the 5 games when they weren't winning. 23 minutes just against us.

I think being one footed and having no pace is a problem as well. To be fair to him he's usually better in the second half of games but his poor showings in the first halves are why we are where are. He's played pretty much every minute of every game under SK despite the fact that he's often a man down. He needs dropped and replaced.

Not our game but Celtic are two nil down at home at the officials added nearly 5 minutes despite their being no subs, bookings or VAR.

I've just seen a stat that Mika has scored 6 goals from 9 shots. The service we are giving him is horrific and it's something that Kettlewell doesn't seem to have a clue how to fix. Hopefully the next manager plays more to his strengths instead of letting Slattery and Spittal be the focal point of the team.
