I guess its a load of bollocks if none of you guys are aware of it.
At least its brought back some memories if nothing else.

Guys
Maybe a daft question but I have heard this from 2 different places over the past few weeks.
Just interested if anyone knows if it's true or not.
I can't find anything on the web about it so am thinking it isn't true.
Thanks.

In truth the attendance today was approx 9400 whereas last year at home V Gers it was 9600. So I guess taking into account the timing of the game, the Sky coverage and above all the cost and the state of the Economy it does not look so bad.
That said handing over the Cooper back to the home support shows up how poor our support is, especially for old firm games! I guess most of the Cooper went into the East stand last year and that artificially made it look like a good support.
I sit in the POD stand and many is the time we get up the stairs and look over to the East stand and the Cooper and wonder where our support is? Yet the flip side are days like Nancy (home and away), Llanelli and St Johnstone and you think we have a great support - don't figure
Not much has changed over the years if the truth be told, but we are capable of filling the East and Cooper for Cup games and important league games. I just wish, as do many on here we could get that support every home game. Especially when you have a team playing attractive football and trying their hardest.
On your point of poor support for auld firm games, I know a number of season ticket holders who refuse to go to auld firm games because they can't be bothered with the hassle they get from the away fans at times and they won't subject their kids to it. So there are reasons behind this. Cooper and East Stands did have a lot of gaps in it today. I'd say it was far busier at the Kilmarnock game.

Don't think McGhee got stale last year. He was just so desperate to go elsewhere he completely lost interest in our team. He knew in January this year Strachan was leaving and was so sure he was getting the job we'd have been better being run by no-one than having him in charge.
Yup, fair point. He certainly didn't seem interested!
-
For what its worth has Mr. McGhee done us a favour in leaving? I think after watching us in the Europa and League campaigns Jim Gannon has rebuilt the team from the remaining players that have taken on board the change in management and style.
IMHO this was long overdue watching last years efforts , players going through the motions team with no direct leadership from the management with no apparent ideas how to go forward or how to change a game .
With appointment of Jim Gannon some fresh ideas, freeing up of wages, transfer money, the introduction of the boys from the 19s and the players brought in, his tactical understanding of the game( something McGhee didnt have), the way he wants the team to play makes going to the games so far a much more enjoyable experience. Some of the passing and posession today was a joy to watch.
Whether the team can keep up the standard of todays game, i hope so. If we can find that final ball to finish off teams it may turn out a great season.
I 100% agree. I was always a fan of McGhee in his first season, last season got stale and I knew it was time for change. This is the best thing that could have happened.

Was it actually a penalty?
Looked soft from where I was- not seen it on TV though.
I'd say it was never a penalty, he was already falling when the tackle came in, but hey I wouldn't be complaining if we scored from it! How often do the Auld Firm get the soft penalties 5 minutes from time!

Listen mate you are acting like a wee boy, give it a rest and stop seeking attention.
I couldn't have put it better myself.
-
Haha smashing. It may go against the grain, but well done to anybody who gave that c**t ANY abuse at all today!!
Mate, you are a fucking idiot!
-
Absolutely shocking. Some people have short memories. Its hardly surprising he was outraged!
-
Best performance I've ever seen O'Brien putting in so he's my choice.
-
Excellent performance. A million miles from the last home game of the season against Kilmarnock. A lot of people wrote us off today, including some of our own on this forum. The guys proved them all wrong, well done!
All I can say is Up Yours Craig Paterson! (Predicted a Killie win)

I want to be able to take my kid to any game, anywhere, at any time of the day, without being worried I might have to shield him from mindless opposing fans.
Better stay away from Rangers or Celtic games then
-
he was such a pussy he ran off field and down tunnel as soon as final whistle went 2 avoid the abuse about to come his way
Probably heading straight to Steaua's dressing room pick up his pay packet. Doubt he got there before the ref did though! .... Allegedly!
-
I've certainly not seen anything about it. I never really seen anything in the news about the disgraceful conduct.

great name mate ..................... heavenistheFirPark wheretheHibeezshattheirload
That was my first choice but it it was too big.
-
Haha never liked either really. Right time to have a few more beers to celebrate a 4-0 win!
We will be doing the same next Saturday hopefully when we pump St Johnstone by at least the same amount.
