  1. What are we looking at? McCall gone to Sheffield so need a new manager. Law, Humph and Hately off to Ibrox, Higdon and Faddie unlikely to hang around for next season. Anyone elase likely to go? And who or what will be left? Gutting after a great season.
  2. Onward and upward. Things are not as bad as they seem. Okay we are an average side in an average league but Dundee will make it very difficult to get relegated. This is a chance to try some of our promising youngsters as that is the only way forward for a club like ours. We will need them next season when a few of our squad will be on their way. Have been a well fan for forty years and have been through much worse.
  3. I saw it- lived in Edinburgh at the time. Harrow was sent through on the inside right channel, one on one with the keeper and put it across Rough and in off the far post-easy. Gordon Durie Hat-trick, good Joe McBride free kick and another couple and we were robbed.....
  4. Have very fond memories of a 3 nil win at Fir Park with Andy Lynch scoring two late own goals, but would rate the 3-2 cup win after being two nil down at half time and the 4-2 semi final replay win higher.
  5. Has Dodds ever had a decent word to say about us in his commentry/punditry on the BBC? Be a sad sad day if we were to ever give that wee c*nt houseroom.
  6. Mid seventies to mid eighties you couldn't buy a cap if you were a 'well player. Wark was the most obvious but a good few others also missed out- Stewart Rennie springs to mind. The fact that as soon as anyone leaves to join a "bigger club" they are immediately called up just adds to the feeling that playing here bad for your Scotland career. I also notice that Stevie Hammell is listed as being a Hearts player, with regard to when he picked up his cap, in the "Wee Red Book"- what a crock of sh*te.
  7. Hopefully he will have to, or he will be out the team, out the door in six months and his chances of a big money deal elsewhere further diminished. Look on this as an expensive loan deal, it may work in our favour. Hope there is an element of "pay per play" involved so that we are not screwed if he turns out to be gash.
  8. and lets face it , quarter of a million is a joke. We should let him see out his contract and maybe get us a better league finish and get us another European run, that would make us more than the fee.
  9. Glad to see him leaving Cardiff- a bunch of Taff *****.
  10. Not so much a fixation, just the best I could do at short notice.
  11. He may very well be- but Cardiff City are Welsh.
  12. Who'd have thought that Eric Black getting the gig was dodging a paedo bullet?
  13. With his background, wouldn't he be more suited to Celtic? Anyway, Welsh *****, enough said.
  14. That will do- in with a wee chance of getting through and a nice place to visit. Pricey, but not half as bad as Norway.
  15. How ironic, given that Derek Johnstone has never dived for a penalty in his illustious career.
  16. http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictu...und_color.shtml Impressive looking ground- something like that would do us very nicely- well, dreams are free.
  17. After claiming that Paul McStay was an old style footballing character on "Off the Ball" on Saturday, it is obvious she knows nothing about football-so she mets one of Tommy Docherty's criteria for being an ideal member of the board of directors of a football club.

    John Ruddy

A bit unfair- that was just shit refereeing- how many other keepers got called for "steps" in the time that that law was in force? Next you will be blaming big Stewart for he penalty he conceded in the semi final the following season.
  19. Pretty sure that was my first match- watched it from the main stand with my Dad. Pretty dire stuff, even for a six year old.First away game was a 1-0 defeat at Bayview a couple of weeks later. Can't remember my first win.

    Phil's Legacy

Maybe the personal messages on the shirts will encourage the kids to find out a litle bit more about Phil and where he came from? Cannot think of a better role model and the creation of a link between them and our club and one of its greatest sons can be no bad thing. Even from beyond the grave, there remains something pure class about Phil O'Donnell.
  21. While not approving of the nature and content of some of these alleged chants, lets not get too wound up by reports of disgust from the media until we see what they make of the next old firm game.
  22. Unfortunatelyv it is the age we live in- I'd personally much prefer "witty" rather than " offensive" chants from our support- we are generally better than that. As an aside, there is absolutely nothing funny about paedophillia and as such those chants were unacceptable- an unreserved apology from the club should be forthcoming.
  23. Just so long as the players do not get distracted by all this-the most important thing is the win and the three points, anything else is a bonus.

    Canterbury

Speaking as someone who would have preferred a white away kit with a claret and amber band- there is a great picture of St John wearing one like that from the early 1960s- I have to say that new away shirt looks the absolute dogs, smart as hell and I just have to get myself one.
