I agree.....Pearo missed out on the 'how to tackle' training session when we was a kid........been guilty of some shocking challenges over the years. Breaking the ICT's boys leg, booting Bert Konterman up in the air, so many you can't list them. Keith's fouls are largely niggling, harrying type tackles, not leg breakers.

Tait in particular looked like he had a bit of a stinker. That may have been down to the player in front of him (Cadden?).

Moult didn't look great for the first few weeks last season, so there is time yet.

Yeah he would have been great under McGhee and would have made us a decent transfer feed own the line.

The hunch isn't based on anything other than a belief that he fits the right profile and will find it very difficult to get into the Celtic team.

I don't even buy strips!?!

The 2014-2015 strip was unveiled on 9th May but not release for general sale until well into July. The 2013-2014 strip was unveiled on 25th April and was available for sale 5th May. The 2012-2013 was unveiled on 24th May and went on sale on 8th June. The 2011-2012 was released on 24th June but can't determine when it went on sale, but the away wasn't released for another 2-3 weeks and didn't go on general sale until August. So not as bad as I thought, but that 3 out of the last 5 years have been released in late June/early July, with sale dates varying.

The strips were unveiled on 1st July last year but the home strip didn't go on sale till 15th July with away following a week later. I will do a bit of digging and see when other seasons were unveiled.

Gadgey, I understand your sentiment but this is a message board. If all we can discuss is pure proven fact, then this message board that we all contribute to, would be pretty quiet and boring. But for the record, it is fact that we are quite consistently one of the last teams to release our strip, missing potential sales during a time of very low cash flow. It is also fact that we are very late in agreeing sponsorship for the year ahead.

I have perfectly sound mentality and am not young, but I am entitled as you to air my opinion. The fact is that almost every year we are the last to release our strip. That is a fact. Poor management that misses out on early sales for the summer holidays.

Even in his first tenure McGhee struggled to get players in. Seems to favour quality over quantity, which can be a hard balance to get right. I'm sure there will be some movement this week.

So tell me.....why do other provincial clubs have a sponsor sorted for next year? They knew months ago that they wanted to change sponsor, so why deep into June is it not sorted. Unorganised, unprepared, last minute i.e. Typical Motherwell.

The one on the right is Padraig Amond who we were linked to under the Baraclough era. Scored a lot of goals at Grimsby.
