Motherwell Vs Kilmarnock-score Predictions,team Line-up
dinnae-punt-it replied to dazamfc's topic in Club Chat
Give us peace and stop being a total numpty bigcol! McFadden would give the ball away lots, and still does, but he ended up making us over £1M, so I am happy to give Paul creative freedom, if it means the club benefit in the long run. Paul Slane is a fantastic prospect, and doesn't need people like you putting him down so early in his career! Get a grip! -
St Johnstone Match Thread - The Dawning Of A New Era!
dinnae-punt-it replied to steelboy's topic in Club Chat
Yeah, if you prefer to always take the pessimist's view! I prefer to think we will do ok this season (8-7th), and strangely the players who have left, wont be missed, with improvement season on season under Gannon. I also think when Gannon does leave, we will be in a far better position than the one Mutley left us in......hopefully that wont be for a good few years yet though! It's easier to be a pessimist, cos it's easier to say you were right if things don't go to plan. To me, views like yours and Eddie Steelmen is exactly what is wrong with football in this country, perhaps even what is wrong with this country as a whole. Why always be so negative? It's a if some people actually wish for failure, just so they can moan about it in the pub, or in work! I prefer to be positive! 3-2 Well! Keep smiling! -
You don't make any sense....you moan constantly and often if people say black you say white, infact I think that sums you up perfectly!
-
Have I ever questioned Clarky, did I ever say Bob Malcolm was good enough........nah don't think so. You, like me, are entitled to your opinion, but I don't agree with peoples scaremongering! I think Gannon is better qualified than us all to judge what is right or what is wrong......no?
-
I think Gannon is better qualified to be the judge of that, but hey your entitled to your opinion. Personally I'd rather their wages were spent on someone else, as both players just aint good enough, and many on here have known it for some time!
-
I have said it before and i'll say it again.....Show some f%$king trust in our manager! With regards to Smith and Fitzpatrick, he has only done what most of us realised needed doing a long time ago......These two (a nice as they may be) are not good enough, end of story. He has done the right thing, and will use their wages to replace them in good time! Stop with the freaking out man!
-
Tiz a fine line between success and failure it seems.
-
Wow, tiz funny, some people on this site would have strung you up to dare question McGhee during his rein, yet the stats don't even make him better than Butcher! Interesting indeed!
-
That's fair enough Steelboy, but I don't do criticism before there is just cause.....guess it just depends if your a glass half empty or half full kinda guy!
-
Do you really think we wont sign a right back and another striker? We have already had strikers on trial and been linked with a couple of right backs, so at what point do you think we aren't actively looking to recruit players in these areas?
-
Coz Mclean left because Motherwell didn't want him..........Antagonising the players, the guy is the Manager, do you want him to make them cups of tea and wipe their arses? Do you really think Jim wont improve the squad depth further, coz I have no doubt JG will strengthen........How can anyone judge his new signings without seeing them in a good few games.........i.e I think the arguments listed in the post are just a classic case of a Motherwell fan finding a reason to moan! So in short a pile o pish!
-
I've never heard so much pish in all my life!
-
You'd think the lad was a world beater......lets just see how well he does at Falkirk!
-
Do you ever stop trying to play devil's advocate Melvin? In reply to the original post, why should he take any blullshit? Why should he take 'Reputation' and 'The Past' into account..........that is history, not the future. Jim Gannon is an exceptional manager and who cares if he aint liked? How many of us like our bosses? It par for the course in normal life, so wht should it be any different in the world of football. I have every faith in JG to do the job he is paid for, if Mr Lasley or Mr Hammell don't like then that is just tough titties! No one is irreplaceable! Every time we have lost a 'big name' player, we have done just fine and dandy.....if not better! IN JG I TRUST!
-
what channel is it on the radio?
-
Gaag, of course there will be cameras there, how else will they show the goals on the news tomorrow?
-
I don't rate him, and think he will be a bit part player next season. I know he seems to be a lot of fans favourite player, but I feel he isn't strong enough in any one area to make him a first teamer........and McGhee left him out quite a lot too, so it seems it wasn't just me that thinks that way.
-
Fair play Steelboy, but it just seems the way of the Scot to find something to be negative about. Before McGhee, Motherwell for many years previously went from inexperienced manager to inexperienced manager. I will never defend Malpish, but Davies went on to do not bad, but was ran out of town here, and as much as I hate him, so has Big Ginger nut......so maybe we shouldn't always be so quick to judge (and that goes for our chairman). I think the best thing we could do is benefit from a long term manager, not one year here, two years there, plus I have a good feeling about our new manager!
-
Sometimes (and I mean most times especially on this board), I feel people will find a reason to moan (or as some might put it, 'play devils advocate') no matter what happens. Sign established SPL players and they are just the same old same old that does nothing to excite.....oh but hey they are experienced. OR Sign undiscovered players who seem to have a decent reputation at their respective level, are young, can be moulded, may make us a lot of money ala Porter, Skippy et al, but hey they are inexperienced! Damned if you do damned if you dont! Where is the faith in our new manager to get it right. The right appointment until proven otherwise in my book! Keep the Faith
-
I am pretty certain what Gannon means is we will get 4 permanent signings...........of which we currently have three and 4 loan signings.....of which we have none, so only 5 new signings to come not 8!
-
I know, but I think Jennings is a direct replacement for Klimpl in the holding role, so don't think we need Klimpl anymore, as there are more important areas of the team that require strengthening, such as an attaching midfielder, striker, and right back.
-
He already has in Jennings!
-
Geez peace ya tube, that's all i'm going to say!
-
must be slow news day if we are discussing Stephen Hughes AGAIN..........he isn't going to re-sign and is no longer a Motherwell player, so it is time to move on. Was looking forward to reading the papers this morning as you usually get more rumours/gossip/potential signing target news on a sunday, but seems like there is nothing of note in the papers!

Could simply be JG pretending we don't have any money so that clubs don't bump up their asking proce for players in the know that we have some pennies to spend? BUT could just as easily be that we don't have money to burn!
