  1. No chance, he is even worse at commanding his area than Frazer! Wouldn't sign him if he was willing to play for nothing! TBH I can't believe Celtic signed him!
  2. I'm going to sound like a doom mongerer, but I tend to agree, based on last seasons form! But he is young and deserves a chance. Mind you both Crags and Reynold are way better than Strong and Ready, so we should be glad of that atleast......and yes I know both of them came from Englands lower leagues and were rubbish, just incase people think I am contradicting myself!
  3. Fair point Haggis, they can defo be added to the list of blame! I am just worried people judge Gannon unfairly. He has a very hard task ahead of him, harder than any manager in the recent past in my opinion, based on the fact that he has to deal with relatively high expectations (due to McGhee's rein), with one of the weakest squads to ever be inherited!
  4. Indeed. I hated him from the minute the Scotland/Hearts crap started!
  5. Well we will just need to wait and see, but I will support our manager until such times as I become a sceptic, and remember, losing quinn, clarkson, hughes, klimpl, porter etc had nothing to do with the new manager, the big shovel face and boyle (plus the muppets that run the SPL) are responsible for that!
  6. Oh and big Ports came from League 1......and you can't say he wasn't successful, so why should you be so quick to suggest that it isn't a decent league or that decent players can't come from it? I think John Boyle would like to think it was a good bit of business, considering what we got for big Ports when he moved to Derby!
  7. I couldn't care less if he has the club at heart, it doesn't make you a great player, and i'm affraid we will certainly have to agree to disagree on you opinion of Crags, but that's fair enough......we don't need to agree! As for being capped 40 times by N.I............it's hardly a super power of world football now is it? How many caps has a Faroes player for example.........plenty! Doesn't mean he is a great player! I have faith in the new manager, and by all means have a pop if his reign proves to be a bad one, but if he is successful i'll remember to remind you of you point of view at this point in time...........likewise you can do the same to me if I am wrong!
  8. And you could definately include Martyn Corrigan in that mould as well! Blind faith, despite being well past their best, or indeed never that good in the first place!
  9. Maybe Jennings is his man for the job? All action midfielder by all accounts, and was up for the captaincy at his last club!
  10. That is absolute rubbish......I think Gannon is more qualified to make a judgement on a player than you are! Crags has never, and will never be a stand out, we have lost more goals to crosses and throw ins than any other team in the SPL, he has no pace and is another year older! If Gannon thinks he can get a better player or Crags has thrown the toys out the pram after being rightly singled out for criticism, then fair play to him, he's the boss and has a great reputation, so why should you doubt him? Sometimes I feel that there are players at Motherwell have an un-dying affinity to, yet they are no world beaters! I consider Keith Lasley in that mould as well, and I believe both are replaceable! So to sum up, crags has no pace, isn't dominant in the air, has a tendancy to switch off, can distrubute the ball.........so why should he be untouchable? Just my opinion mind!
  11. Can you not learn to speak and spell properly? Jeezo!

For those of you moaning that the band on the new home top is not made of different material (and is instead printed on to the top), SCDave's comments can be backed up by the last top to have the band, as seen here: The band on this old Pony top was printed not stiched, so guess we just have to accept that with the modern printed numbers, if we want the band that you all moaned so much for, we will have to accept that it is printed on to the top not stiched!
  13. You are entitled tour opinion, but I beg to differ. Like most modern full backs, he was good going forward, always available, but wasn't a great crosser. In my opinion he was a poor defender. Pat Rice at Arsenal used to shout 'Stop the Cross' so much at Lee Dixon, he used to think that was his name. Paul Quinn never ever seemed capable of stopping his man getting to the line and getting a cross in, which inevitably led to us losing a lot of goals from crosses. The same can be said for Hammell. Cardiff are off their head if they have paid the reported £700k! Only my opinion mind!
  14. Haha, you giving away my real name! Shame on you Gordy boy!
  15. Guess we will just need to wait and see pal! Who needs enemies when we have such a loyal supportive bunch of fans! I actually think most Well fans aint happy unless they have something to moan about. Pretty much every Scottish team to play in the Intertoto Cup were pants, the Europa Cup is no different! Far to early in the close season for teams to be ready to play, especially when they have to deal with a Manager that has left us in a state ala Sheepy McShovelface!
  16. Fair play Traffic, but we really can't judge the season ahead until the season actually starts. Personally I thought Paul Quinn couldn't stop an attacker getting a cross into the box, resulting in lots of goals lost to crosses, so not overly fussed about losing him. Big Brian was injured more than he was fit with us, and was prone to howlers, can be replaced. Stephen Hughes was non-existent in much more games than he was on his game, think we can cope without. Clarky is a loss, can't deny that, but when we lost Faddy we thought 'how would we cope'.......we did better after we left as we were far too one dimensional. We thought how would we cope after Skippy........yet we finished 3rd without him! As our new Assistant says, when one door closes another one opens. I think, given time, Gannon will make more than a sucess of the Mighty Well. One (very early) game doesn't make a season. We have been pants for the last two pre-seasons and done alright. We'll win the 2nd leg anyway! Onwards and upwards.
  17. Gees us peace the both of you. The Manager has been in the job only a few days and hasn't had a chance to replace the players he has lost! Give him a chance for feck sake!
  18. Shut up ya tit, away and be a fanny elsewhere!

Can anyone take a picture of the back of the new strip and post it up? I haven't been able to make it to the shop due to fecking flu (and no it's not swine flu, that only happens to the h**s ), and there aren't any pictures of the back of the top, other than that crap preview photo!
  20. There is a music shop near edinburgh castle called McAllister's! Could that be the answer to the riddle? Who knows, guess we will see if there is any truth in it tomorrow!
