Skippy just ahead of Tait. Would hate to be an oppo player against him when he's in that form, and, for once, he should have been greedier with that ball he squared to Cadds in 2nd half.

Louis Moult was fantastic today. His work rate, running of he channels and he ball too Skippy for the goal was top class.

 

Skippy was also very good today as was Cadden.

 

Kudos to the back 5 today aswell who I thought where all very solid.

 

However going for Moult.

Most of the team did well today, Moult, Cadden, Lasley and Tait especially, but it will be a long time before we see another player as good as McDonald in a Motherwell shirt.

 

Very good goal today too.

Strong all round performance quodos to Moult and Tait but I thought Scott McDonald was immense. Great goal and an assist and terrific work ethic, no wonder he was knackered at the end.

Moult and McDonald were great today, and the Thistle defenders will be having nightmares all week after that today. Tait was much better as a wing back, than he is normally in the full back role. Any of them could easily have won the man of the match award but Moult just shaded it with his pass to McDonaldfor the 2nd goal.

I would love to vote for David Ferguson because for the first time when I've seen him, I thought he looked a Premier League player today. Also showed awareness beyond his years when he got carrrumped in the first half. He was walking diagonally off the pitch despite Dallas asking him to get a move on so he was ready to come back on in as useful a place as possible when he was waved on. Know it is a stupid thing but just showed a maturity. He of the eleven was the one who absolutely exceeded expectations today.

 

BUT McDonald was immense (that pass to Cadden apart) and giving it to anyone else would have been sacrilege.

A close run thing between MacDonald and Moult with the former just shading it for me.

I went for McDonald also but was impressed by Moult. His work rate was great as always but his touch deems to really have come on. It was interesting to read he was doing extra strength and conditioning training with Faddy during the international break.
