Dominating play but no real threatΒ

Sums up our season thus far. It'll click at some point and we'll blow teams away.

This is torture to watch and until we address our frontline issues then it will continue.

If you can’t score goals you don’t win football matches. It’s that simple.

There’s actually decent balls at times whipped in, there was one 2 mins ago where AP should have been in there in front of the defender. We had a few in the first half. We need a striker as I don’t think AP is the guy we need. His movement is always away from the goal.

I’d really like to hear from our manager on who thinks is going to score goals for us. It’s all very well having lots of possession but it doesn’t win games and St. Johnstone look just as likely to score as us.

We can only hope the calls for a proven, experienced goal scorer are heeded by JBA, because there’s no point putting time, effort, and money into a squad that plays like this without an end product.

I said the same when folk were asking the question β€œwhere will we finish this season” after a 1-1 draw with a rank rotten Rangers team. Rangers were as bad as they could have been and we played very well but couldn’t make it count to save ourselves until a late bit of magic rescued a point for us. We are literally HOPELESS up front and that is going to cost us more points/Cup ties than it will win us.

He's basically said we need to bring in strikers. It's not like he hasn't seen a game of football before.

It will also take time to adjust, because players in this league have lobbing high balls in their DNA.

Great play from Just, nice dunk through to AP who once again has a bad touchΒ

That’s because he’s always reactive, a step behind the play, and never the one making things happen.

He’s just did that again, another half chance and a terrible touch. he’s been rotten today. He’s not a player I dislike either but he’s been well off it today.

On a different day St Johnstone would have scored two own goals. A couple of clearances that somehow cleared the bar with the defender having no idea what was going to happen.

To be fair they do agree with me that Just has been the best player in the parkΒ

Again, not a bad team performance but nothing to show for it. You can see what the manager is trying to do if nothing else, unfortunately it’s totally ineffective with the players he has.
