  1. Palace still looked like they were in pre season mode but their league starts next Saturday. Freiburg looked more up for it, they definitely come out the blocks quick, I honestly think palace players maybe touched the ball 5 times in the first 10 mins. Freiburg are quick and zipped the ball about well, it did take them a while to score though….. if that is any form of positive.
  2. I watched it. They were worryingly impressive. Playing in a similar way to us but a million times faster
  3. Just watched a conversation with Stephen Welsh on you tube with a daily record journo. It was excellent…. I can’t seem to add the link on here but you can google it if desired. Spoke loads about Motherwell as a club as well as what happened behind the scenes. It’s good to hear ex players with a genuine affection for Motherwell.
  4. the Crystal Palace v Freiburg game is just starting and the commentators just mentioned palace got 2200 tickets….. so I have no doubt whoever goes should get a ticket no bother. Their stadium looks good, cost £76m
  5. There was a guy in the POD last night that I was ready to rattle. Every 5 mins “git the baw up the park…. Stoap aw this fannyin aboot at the back” it was like he’d stepped out of a coma after 18 months and thought it was still a Kettlewell team.
  6. I saw we lost a seat last night RIP an older fella in front of us had the audacity to sit down after celebrating the goal and it snapped off the plank it was attached to. Luckily he was un-injured I think? Disgraceful anyway…. My sh1tty seat in the POD is secured. been searching all day for flights for the following week but it’s either too expensive or way too much of a trains/planes/automobiles situation. For anyone going, enjoy it. I was in Dortmund and it’s in the top 3 of my Motherwell experiences. I was younger then right enough and handled my booze and lack of sleep much better then.
  7. It doesn’t half put a spring in your step doesn’t it. That was absolutely brilliant last night and I’m struggling to keep the smile off my face. I’m in work, it’s a Friday ….. it’s a good day. For any of you who are football obsessed (me) Freiburg are playing Crystal Palace tomorrow (it’ll be on the firestick and I’m sure other reputable mediums) should give us an idea of their starting team as I believe it’s their last friendly before the German league starts
  8. I think I was the only one who thought Lowry was really poor in the first half? I didn’t think he was at it at all, kept giving the ball away and was pretty weak at times but his 2nd half until he was hooked was brilliant. I thought it was like watching a different player, really confident, great work rate….. not sure what Alfred said to him at half time but it worked.
  9. Moorman is class and JGR was excellent as well. We are lucky to have them. went for Moorman but I feel bad that I’m cheating on Said
  10. Well that was fkn brilliant…. What a night it’s a wee bit annoying that I’m in and can’t find any highlights of Said’s goals …. Scouring social media for the goals and cheap flights to Germany.
  11. I think it’ll be a really tough one tonight and it’ll be a nervous one with the big crowd and all. I still think it’s 50/50 and it may go to ET. Might be a long one and a potential sore ar5e for the POD people which I am one…. I may look out a cushion and a back brace to see me through.
  12. That was a good watch, he’s a proper decent guy and has always been a big honest player. Overly criticised at times in my opinion but that’s football. hopefully he’ll be back soon and can help improve the team.
  13. Not to feel forgotten about or under appreciated but has Eli made any statements since joining Swansea? we normally get a “thanks to the fans/club “etc etc when players leave eg miller, Slattery, Ward, watt….. but I’ve not seen or heard a peep from Eli? maybe I have and didn’t notice but I do always look out for what players say when the move on. Especially a player who’s career was going nowhere until joining us.
  14. Seems odd from the biggest side in Finland. Not unless they are so confident and want to save their money and go to Freiburg
  15. Looking at the Helsinki ticket sales it looks like only 80 are bought in that block? Surely they are bringing more than 80 fans
  16. I saw him at my gym earlier this year on a Monday after a game on the Sunday. Clearly it was his day off but he was battering it on the treadmill for about an hour. i have to say with me coming from an era of players going to the pub or bookies on their day off, I was impressed
  17. Never seen the boy play but seems to be highly rated. Talk of him being irelands star of the future? Certainly coming to us fires him in the shop window. I’d imagine we are paying him a wedge right enough.
  18. I heard Williams is definitely out but may be back for the cup game…. Where to be honest, I wouldn’t play him anyway on that plastic park. Give him another week to get fit.
  19. Ideally at present that’s how I’d go if they are all fit. Keep Vogts away from the first 11. good to see the tickets selling well today, look likes there’s chunks of the ground sold out now. Will be a great atmosphere
  20. A number of folk I know have already booked flights to Basel for the Freiburg game. I’m not ballsy enough for that. I’m hanging off until Thursday night. I think It’d have to be a flight to Zurich as well as the Basel ones seem to be sold out already
  21. Ticket sales look slower than the HB game, I’m sure at this point before HB they were starting to offer the south stand. hopefully it’ll pick up today.
  22. I have noticed a number of people bringing cushions with them which I can totally understand but i find it unacceptable they’d have to do this. the bucket seats in the wings were more comfortable than the sharp plastic seats we need to ensure at the moment. I’d honest prefer sitting on a bench than the things we have.
  23. Ive liked the look of Mcallister every time ive seen him, i see more potential in him than Booth if im honest. Its a difficult one though, especially for the boy, he needs to play adult football to improve and if hes just stuck on our bench that wont happen.
  24. Taking a positive out of yesterday apart from a point and a clean sheet (happy with this tbh) I really liked Alfred’s post match chat, absolutely no bull sh1t manager talk, I totally agreed with everything he said and it was refreshing to hear. Each week I like this guy a little better.
  25. Went for Knight-lebel , for his first game I thought he looked very good. Really comfortable and made a couple of important blocks as did Reich. Moorman looked good as well, I hope to god he’s not injured.
