No one up here can get close to the wages teams in the championship pay, I guarantee he’ll be at least doubling his wages going from Celtic to there. I saw a list of players in that league and I think the average is around £15/20k pw and that’s the average. I’m sure Turnbull was £25k before Cardiff were relegated. crazy to think 30years ago it would be a step down from SPL wages to go to a lower league English side.

I think this has a lot to do with it. A lot has to do with who the more influential players want to go on a two week trip with. Cos it won’t be any more than 2 weeks. i hate feeling like this about Scotland but that last tournament put the tin lid on it for me. Apart from the last Denmark game (which we stunk the house out for about 70mins of) we were awful to watch throughout that campaign. I still want to go in hoping we can do ok but I fear the worst…. Totally agree. I might be wrong but I dont think Clarke has been to Fir park this season? He’s not interested in clubs like ours. He might have came once the year before to see Miller but I don’t remember the game. His treatment of Miller is an utter disgrace, to bring in a boy with no game experience before the likes of Miller is a crime. I find it annoying we are at a World Cup and I have no excitement about it as I know we’ll watch 3 games of anti football and embarrass ourselves yet again at a tournament in front of the world.

I think that confirms what we all know about the vast majority of Celtic fans. Totally clueless. he’s not rated by them as he’s Scottish and a product of their awful youth academy. Even the likes of James Forrest and Macgregor who are highly decorated and whatever we think of them have been excellent Celtic players, haven’t ever been really liked by their support and have had many shout of “not Celtic class “… whatever that means. for me Welsh and McGinn have been the best defenders in the league this year… by a distance. good luck to Welsh, he gave his all and it wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up in France

I think …. Hope… we do have a plan. When we’ve seen how sought after and praised Jens has been for the past 8 months really…. Surely they’ve thought we need to sort out a contingency plan. I’d hope that Jens may have played a part in this too and identify managers/coaches of a similar mindset to him. who knows

As mentioned a non appealable points deduction is a simple way of dealing with it. Any supporter entering the park….. not a spilling over from the stand but support visibly on the field of play give the side involved a 2 or 3 point automatic deduction….. as in the day of the game. It’d soon stop the idiots doing it and it may even get Celtic and Rangers condemning their own support. Which both continually fail to do. the whataboutery from Celtic this week has been worse than embarrassing. Totally shameless.

Like to get a Welsh side and scud them early. Nice wee trip down there at a reasonable cost. I’d then love a trip to Poland after that…. Been a few times over there and it’s a brilliant place to visit.
