Either do something about it or just fritter away money time and time. However it’s much more difficult to do this for away games. The only way to do this would be for the club to handle the ticket sales for all away games and record details of everyone who buys a ticket. On the down side this would create an extra admin burden on the club and it would need the cooperation of the away club not to sell tickets outwith this. However, that works 2 ways. We cant be far off from UEFA starting to intervene with our ticket allocations for away European nights. That would be galling for most. As soon as I saw the flares last night, my heart sank as the club will be forced to act in a way that can only harm the current feelgood factor within the club. Anyway there was a guy there with the megaphone thing and he spent the game facing away from pitch...my point is not everyone is that interested in the game , its the vibe/ atmosphere/ chance to be a star I doubt he is bothered by an appeal from club, maybe some of his posse could put pressure on him? If you are costing the club more money in fines than you bring in individually then the club has every right to jettison you. The club (and every Scottish club since it's far from a Motherwell specific issue) needs to clamp down on fan behaviour now. Â For a start any fan that goes on to the pitch should be insta-banned. Â Today's SFA announcement on Rangers and Celtic is a step in the right direction. Fans on the pitch. Stadium closure. Â Flares, stadium closure. Â The softly, softly approach just hasn't worked. Â It's well known in general society that 50% of all crime is committed by 10% of all criminals. Â Likewise all these supporter related problems are being committed by a very small number of people. Â If you nip this problem in the bud it'll soon be gone. Â You don't deal with it you simply embolden the small minority that are already creating issues.
