Didnae know it was shut because I usually leave Overtown from the Gowky end (for work and other such irrelevances) but for a trip to Airdire, I'd have headed through Waterloo. Villageman Posted August 4, 2009 Report Share Posted August 4, 2009 Just a bit of clarification, Waterloo roundabout is NOT closed, it is the road from the roundabout to Newmaiins? East_Stand_Al Posted August 4, 2009 Report Share Posted August 4, 2009 A couple of suggestions to avoid worst of the traffic either come in through Calderbank, when you come to the roundabout after the village take a right and park in the industrial estate atthe top of that road ( brownsburn road) or via Coatbridge and when you come to the roundabout at Morrisons in Airdrie (where the old broomfield was) take a right and follow that road all the way up (gartlea road) and park at the bottom.
