Hateley

Was a wee bit worried with his form over the last few games, but up until then he had been a great addition to the team and if anything played better under Gannon that Paw Broon.

Truth is as the article states we would have struggled to have replace him with the little cash going around. Decent delivery on free kicks. Needs to do a bit better and work harder defensively.

Good News all in all.

We'll need to get inside the mind of him, his da' and his agent to try to analyse where this massive re-think came from :P

Obviously he could see the extensive work being carried out on the hallowed turf and couldn't turn his back on the field of dreams.

Good news.

Totally agree with Lobey Dosser on that one.

Don't know what stuns me more Hateley will be a Motherwell player next season or the fact we gave him a 3 year deal. Stunned is the word but truly delighted nonetheless.

Cracking news Motherwell, nice one.

good news. i think the three year deal probably means he got the money he wanted with us getting a long enough contract so that we can hopefully get some of it back.

now we just need a striker, a left winger a right back and a goalie!

Still think we will be looking for a right back.

Its a cracking deal, hopefully with some cash return in the near future too. Delighted to see him and Jenno in the middle of the park next year. Heard rumblings of another signing in the offing too.

This is superb news on a number of fronts. Obviously having him in the squad is a great boost, as he can cover a few positions. Given that its a three year deal its likely he will earn the club a nice transfer fee when he moves on, so well done to all concerned.

Now, what about Ruddy and the Duke too?!!!

Think the pics of the beautiful pitch we now have did the trick! Great news.

 Nothing to do with being hawked around clubs the length and breadth and no takers eh?

But, like global warming, I'm all for it.

Shocked on two counts. First, I thought his future was elsewhere. Second, we have managed to nail him down to a 3 year contract.

Tremendous work Motherwell!

Spot on. A lot has been made of his 'weak ending' to the season but he wasn't the only one. Overall his contribution last season was immense and IIRC he played in every game in a very good season for us.

Delighted he is staying and even more delighted it is a 3 year deal he has signed.
