He was fairly open on not making wholesale changes so for me seemlessly transitioning hopefully building incrementally as is club board ethos which is very different to JBA arriving and having to put his stamp on things from the get go.

Quite the take. It has very little to do with knowing the league Rangers have gone for. It’s the fanbase demand for a Rangers man’ much the same as the Shettlestons demanding a ‘Sellick man’ backing themselves into their respective corners. I’m glad our club think outside the box. St Johnstone benefited from a stronger budget than most in what was the worst championship in years.
