What ever gave you that idea?

In the past few seasons they've taken the Scottish Cup ticket out of the season book, taken the reserve tickets out, bumped the Cooper prices up into line with the main stand and felt fine charging our own fans more to watch the Old Firm because otherwise there would have been no other way of fleecing their fans when they come to Fir Park. They charge other traveling fans as much as they would to sit in the South even when they get pumped into the shite seats in the main. And how much is it for a pie nowadays?

There is no reserve league any more!

How did you get free booze? Think I paid like £4 in there but £1.20 in pubs

In the casino bit they were given booze away for free. There was me Well Ayrshire and Scott Mfc from on here. Got pissed till 6am after the match and we didn't even need to Gamble. I think I bet about 40 lei all night.

The other 2 had the cheek to get stuck in to the free buffet as well.

Here are the Europa league prices for both Dundee Utd and Celtic

Dundee Utd

Top Tiers: Adults £25 Concessions £13

Lower Tiers: Adults £22 Concessions £12

Concession prices apply to Under 18s and Over 60s.

Celtic

Tickets will be priced £20/£17 RV for adult season ticket holders, and £10/£8 RV for concessions.

Tickets will be available on general sale on Thursday, August 12 with prices from £25 for adults and £16 for concessions

Motherwell

Adults £20

Juv. £10

Cooper family (1adult & up to 3 kids) £30

Could someone tell me where the rip off is? At £20 I thing that our price is OK overall although I would have liked to have seen a concession for OAP's.

So if Celtic were charging less you'd be at Parkhead a week on Thursday? No?

Supporting football isn't a free market, fans don't go where is cheapest. The club put two games on at £15 a head, showing that £15 is an acceptable price point for them. Adding another £5 on top shows that they reckon they'll be able to get another fiver out of each of us.

Some amount of folk talking some amount of shite in here. If we're not basing out ticket prices on Dundee United, who are we basing it on?

Some folk just appear to love a wee moan about something. A fiver, so fuck? The club didn't need to reduce the prices in the first place for the first two games. They did and now that its a bigger game, its more expensive.

Bring back the threads about the paint on the stairs.

TBH I wish they had kept the prices as they were. That said I do understand that Motherwell need to maximise income and that charging the same for Breidablik as the play off round v Odense makes little financial sense.

We need to hope we are still in the game in the 2nd leg. If that is the case I do not see it making a huge difference. If we were god forbid to lose 4-0 in the 1st leg then it will make a difference but then it probably would have if the tickets were still £15.

All in all I feel it is still a reasonable price for the Europa Cup play off round. make no mistake if we get to back to Fir park with all to play for this will be arguably the biggest match since the 1991 Sc Cup final. The potential rewards and the positive press of reaching the Europa League proper would be absolutely massive.

Fair enough on not giving a student discount but if yer still at school at 16 for example, I think £20 is a bit much and would definitely keep fringe fans away. So there should be a concession for OAPs and mibi under 18s. But otherwise, for a game that I would say is bigger than a cup final imo, I'd say £20 is perfectly reasonable.

Anybody who goes on about it "only being a fiver" is coming across a total c**t. I know people who were struggling to scrape £15 of spare cash to get to the two first rounds, never mind a 25% increase.

Fuckin' pathetic argument.

I couldn't really have cared less if the last two rounds had been £20 as well to be honest. The fact is though, they weren't. We paid £15 to see home ties against two Scandinavian mobs we know very little about. Now all of a sudden the club have increased the prices for another home tie against a Scandinavian mob we know very little about. I'll pay it and I'll be there, but it doesn't change the fact that the club are, once again, cashing in.

I'll waste a fiver on various nonsense, so spending a fiver to see the football isn't really a big worry. Instead of a couple of pints at somepoint during the week, I'll stay in the house. I won't play a puggy, I'll no buy fourfourtwo. I'll do a wee packed lunch instead of buying my lunch.

Well, as long as everyone is in the same position we'll have the same attendance as we did at the other two games. Maybe though after spending £30 over and above the cost of a season ticket before the SPL has even kicked off, putting the prices up for the third game might stick in the craw for some people.

And we should put our prices up because Dundee Utd are charging £20? As I've already said that doesn't matter. Motherwell have already shown they can put the match on for £15 as the ticket price and so putting up prices into line with United seems a bit of dick move.

It is. I'll no be such a c**t next time, but christ, it is a bit of an overreaction.

Possibly, but then just about everything that's ever discussed on here gets an overreaction from somewhere.

I just don't really get the thinking behind a price increase. At the end of the day, I guess I'd just have liked it if the club had just enjoyed the fact we had another game in Europe. I know we're skint, but three home games in Europe is a good return financially without trying to squeeze another wee bit extra out of us.

The club are obviously trying to cash in on the game and i dought that they'll see there being much difference between our chances of winning with 7000-8000 or 10000+ so it makes sense to put prices up.Somebody isnae very convinced about our chances in the away game with the home tickets going on sale so early, think i'll wait for the away leg before buying and i expect most sensible people will because if it's 3-0 or more for odense then i'm no paying £20.

and that is the crux of the matter for me

three extra games

all extra cash flow into the club , all financed by us and about 750 guests from Europe

but for some reason the club see fit, to squeeze us just that bit harder

its not going to the cinema its not going to a one off event, its going to support our club, not a comparison that should ever be made, but to be honest the club has not been run like a 'club' for a long time.

treat it like an entertainment event and thats exactly how potential customers will treat it by considering other options.

I seem to remember a change in direction that was applauded whereby the club were going to look after the core support as they had eventually realised who was pumping the cash in, seems to me somebody has forgot again
