  1. Today
  2. Must admit I thought the Tennents Sixes was much more entertaining than last nights Scotland game 🤣 Relief now of course we will be back to some normality next weekend
  3. Cheers bud, lot of empty seats. Only clip i caught was on Instagram and Fraser Wrights red card! Now that was a classic
  4. He missed our decisive final penalty in the quarter final and then immediately teamed up with Hibs who he has never played for. It’s just Ross McCormack doing Ross McCormack things. what an absolute sh1t tournament….. talk about downgrade… when once we watched us have Davie Cooper in peak form to seeing Jim Patterson and Keith Lasley looking infirm
  5. Was away for weekend and just spotted ross mccormack in hibs top at sixes!, eh?
  6. Playing against just as many teams as he has being with the Scotland squad over the last 2 weeks..nil so like most of our own squad having a short break or or taking in some extra training to force himself into the team with the manager, clearly more than is happening for the boy in the Scotland squad, but as many in here say and I agree it’s a decision for Lennon to make himself, we can, and do, give our tuppence worth opinions on all matters Motherwell 😃
  7. Update for the week to 4 October. The site is still at 209 clubs, and citations are now at 19,684, about a thousand of them added this week. No new clubs; the week went on checking what's already there against the papers of the day. Corrections St Johnstone's club historian, Alastair Blair, contacted us with a number of corrections which proved invaluable. The club was formed at a meeting on 24 February 1885, not in 1884, and our map had the Recreation Grounds 2.4km away in a housing estate, copied from a wrong Wikipedia infobox. Checking his letter against the papers turned up more of our own mistakes, now fixed: the Muirton Park opener on Christmas Day 1924 was 2-1 to Saints, Sanderson both; the 1969 League Cup final crowd was 73,067; and it's Kenny Deuchar, not Kevin. His and Brian Doyle's books are now cited, with their permission. Thanks to both. That prompted a check of every ground on the map against the old OS maps. Twelve were in the wrong place and have moved, including Kilmarnock's Holm Quarry, the first Celtic Park and Rangers' Fleshers' Haugh. Rechecked against the papers Dundee United: 27 chapters, about 225 new citations. The 1980 League Cup final goals were Dodds two and Sturrock one; the 1982-83 ninety goals was a record shared that season with Celtic; and the Livingston play-off semi was lost 2-3 at home and drawn 1-1 away. Dundee: the modern chapters, about 650 new citations. The 2023 Championship was won 5-3 at Ochilview, where Queen's Park were playing their home games, and the 2012 SPL vote on the Rangers newco was "overwhelming" in the Belfast Telegraph's report, not unanimous. Bellshill Athletic's junior years, from the Bellshill Speaker and others: the protested 1913 semi-final against Newton Villa, the 1913-14 Scottish Junior Cup tie with Mossend Hibs that ran to four games, and the 1923 Glasgow Cup final at Firhill on 26 May, about 8,000 there. The SFA Annuals are now cited for Morton's Garvel Park, Dundee's Carolina Port and Raith's Stark's Park. Crests Deveronvale and Annan Athletic have given permission, and their badges are on their pages. Thanks to both clubs. Next week the Premiership re-check carries on, Falkirk next. As ever, if you spot something wrong, the corrections page is there and I fix things in public. https://scottishfootballhistory.scot
  8. I didn’t suggest that he should decline a call up, or that he shouldn’t want to play for Scotland, indeed I said that it was obviously an honour for players to represent their country. But club football is more important and defines the careers of players apart from a very few exceptions and it’s even less common nowadays. In the case of Scottish players the only one in recent times to have had a better international career than club career was probably Faddy.
  9. Playing against who? Serie A is on an international break too.
  10. Club v country bollocks If players (including Miller) didn't fancy playing for their country it would be a very simple process to ensure it didn't happen. As a percentage, very few players decline call-ups, and there is a reason for that
  11. His career 100% should be defined by his play with whatever club side he plays with, as should be and dare I say IS the case with every footballer. International football is a farce and it’s on the decline due to governing bodies throwing ridiculous money about to host tournaments. Then you consider the ridiculous grandparent rule which allows players to pick and choose their nationality based on which one is more likely to get them capped. Angus Gunn being case in point there, he realised he wasn’t going to get picked for England so ‘decided to be Scottish’. I get that it’s an honour for players to represent their country, but club football is far more important and Lennon Miller will have a good career providing he stays injury free and keeps doing the business at club level.
  12. Again like all posts on here it’s personal opinion and you are 100% right to say your thoughts, mine isn’t utter bollocks, just my opinion, the boys future career ain’t going to be defined by Scotland, it’ll be defined by his play with whatever club side he is with, personally talking he should just concentrate on playing every week in Italy and see where that takes him.
  13. It’s far too early to start judging or criticising Pocognoli, but if Miller continues to get no minutes in favour of Backpass Barry Jnr, then I think both we and Miller would be right to start questioning his involvement.
  14. What a load of utter bollocks. You either want to play for Scotland or you dont. Lennon clearly does. So he will keep attending until he gets his chance.
  15. Yesterday
  16. Yet again Lennon passed over for a cap in a completely rank average Scotland squad against 3rd rate opposition, he really should question his attendance in these squads n just focus on his club future.
  17. Nothing else is working with these brainless wonders, you have to hit them hard to encourage sensible behaviour, take them on head on and stop the stupidity that costs the club its reputation and cash.
  18. The carrot was telling them how great they all are and it would be nice if they didn't do it again.
  19. For my take on this avoidable scenario costing the club £100k would be the identified arsehole who ran on the pitch and crashed the advertising hoarding details are known, the club instruct solicitors to take a private civil prosecution against the individual and recover costs or have the arsewipe declared bankrupt destroying his financial future and a life time ban from Fir Park, the rest of the bampots when identified with the squibs or running on the pitch should also have civil prosecutions taken against them for the inevitable £5k SFA Christmas party bar bill fine that’ll be added to the contribution from the east end biscuit tin. Shoot one rabbit to scare the rest in my opinion. But then again that’s all it is..opinion.
  20. International breaks have got a lot to answer for.
  21. I never heard about this, whats the craic? Too much else going on that night.
  22. Need to get back to the matches and your predictions mjc, i am agreeing with you too much .
  23. The carrot should be they behave, don’t set off flares and don’t jump on the park then they are more than welcome to attend matches. The stick being if they don’t behave, set off flares and invade the park then they will be identified and banned from Fir Park.
  24. Last week
  25. Nah probably no cards but they all seem to turn up at matches wearing the same clothes every week, some with matching balaclavas that might indicate some organisation or it might just be coincidence.
  26. Id be amazed if they have anything that defines them as members of whatever group
