That is very true as he was 25 when we signed him and he had played 2nd division danish and Austrian league. Jens system suited him but mind you he was good at the world cup

Stephen Welsh picked up a bad looking injury last night, Swansea fans have been raving about him. Less so Elijah, pretty much a case of “he’s not good enough and too small and weak” screaming from their fans

I think we tend to overrate how good they are, the money being generated by the English clubs especially premership and championship level means they can attract the best players from all over the world. So paying 1 or 2 million for say a player from motherwell is a cheap low cost option for them, so when a better more expensive player is available, some players game time is limited purely on their perceived ability, Turnbull, Hastie, Johnson etc . In the SPL they were first pick starters, in other leagues they are squad players with limited game time only, Lennon miller for example.

Very true. If we find a way to get players to their peak and then flog them, it's a great model.
