It's almost as if they know their constant whining about him having an agenda against Celtic forces him to give them every debatable decision. As for his actual competence as a ref, he made 4 huge calls in our games at Pittodrie and Parkhead, and VAR 'corrected' 3 of his clear and obvious errors.
-
Makes it even more infuriating that sellik moan and whine about beaton. He gives them more decisions than any other team
-
We got fucked again by inconsistent refereeing. Shock horror.
-
Rugby lead the way on how to use VAR. We need to be taking lessons from them on how to do it properly. I love the fact the refs broadcast the discussion to the stadium so everyone knows what is happening. I think if our VAR did that there would be riots

Ive just watched the highlights and that was never a penalty, never mind a red card a feckin disgraceful decision, i cant believe useless cnuts like beaton and clancy get away with shit like that week after week with no accountsbility.
-
Sorted now lol

It's just amazing how quickly some have forgotten the absolute dross we've watched under previous managers compared to this season. I'm not getting hyped I'm just happy to see the team play football the way it should be played and to great effect most weeks. Christ, we've earned it.

Like you, I don't agree with this narrative. However, I get the reasoning behind it. Arguably, we're the best footballing team in Scotland. However, we failed to reach 2 cup finals and will finish 4th or 5th. There's a disconnect straight away. The bottom line is that too often we fail to turn quality possession into goals. To put that in context, we are very much work in progress and everyone knows that we need to improve for next season. We, the fans, just need to reduce the hype and expectations for now and stay grounded.
-
Now that we are officially out of any title race, and despite Hearts being 1-0 down I make no apologies for saying I hope Hearts win Stopping either of those two Glasgow mobs winning this league will be a relief to most and hilarious, and as Billy Connolly once said a refreshing change
-
We need to be asking for clarifications on the refereeing What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
-
Not sure why Dundee would be considered a big game in comparison to any of the games we won.
-
Reality is we went to Celtic park to a team whose budget is astronomical compared to us. We dominated possesion but couldnt make it count. The game swung on the pen/red as we were 100% in it to that point & to be honest even after it until the third went in. Was it a pen - probably yes. Bit double jepordy to get the red. Chamberlain should also have been off. Disapointing yes, but we were neither humped nor humbled. Get back on the wins next week & close out the season strong. 3rd is still available if others fuck up which they will.....
-
We sold out our allocation today because we were quietly confident of a result. That's testament to how well the team has done this season. Unfortunately it didn't materialise due to multiple factors but not for lack of trying. We're brave on the ball and the quality is there for all to see. It's got it's results that sees us sitting pretty in the top six with a realistic chance of European football come the summer. Yes, we're out two cups and that's disappointing but we're still very much a work in progress. The whole fur coat no knickers narrative is simply pish.
-
I would also include the Aberdeen cup game and the recent loss at Dens Park in my assessment. However, both of those clubs also have bigger budgets than us.
-
I think if its a tackle and considered a genuine attempt to win the ball, then the double jeopordy rule is applied. However, I think DOGSO overules that in this case as its not considered a genuine attempt to get the ball. Be interested to hear a referee's view, right enough.....
-
It will be a big test for us next week however. Hibs have some very good players and we will be without Longelo and possibly Fadinger. At least Welsh is back, but with Koutroumbis still out and RCC injured, the inability to sign LB cover in the window might come back to bite us. Gonna be very limited for options there.

Despite playing for 20 mins with 10 men we still had 53% possession. Shots 13 to 12 for Celtic. 6 to 3 for Celtic shots on target. I thought we were the better team first half and after 15 mins of second half we got passed Celtic being on top and had started to regain control before the red card threw us for a loop. Of course, issues to work on but still a lot to like about our team. I’m expecting us to roar back the next few weeks at home.

I dont think thats fair. The only big game I dont think we turned up in was the League Cup semi-final, and even that game was down to "moments". Performance wise, we have been excellent against Hearts twice, Celtic three times and Rangers three times. Results wise you could make an argument for it, but given all 3 teams have significantly bigger budgets than us and are above us in the league, they might just be better/luckier than us. The fact that we have been able to go toe to toe with them is a significant improvement on mindset and performance levels from years gone past. Of course, if we want to develop and get better, Jens will have to find a way to bridge the gap and turn those performances into results.
-
Is it not the case that any incident like that inside the 18 yd box would be a penalty and a yellow card only, if it was not violent conduct
-
Still only lost 5 games out of 30
-
It is.

Time to take those green and white glasses off MJC. Getting tired of all your pro Celtic rhetoric!! Step too far today but still much to play for this season. Would still love to beat Hearts at Tynecastle and really put the cat amongst the pigeons. As JBA is always telling us, celebrate the performance not the result. It is miles better than we have been used to for some time.
-
It will certainly be a huge test of character. In my book there's a questionmark over our team in big games.
