  1. Past hour
  2. For me we signed Maswanhise and Ward for no fee. If we could get say total of £4 million combined for pair of them then its great business and you give JBA half of that to spend
  3. I've not seen loads of either I've just thought both GK's have been decent in the games I've seen them in. I'd imagine both Gk's passing accuracy would improve in our side. Ox last season was a decent keeper for us before his injury and if Ward was to leave I'd be comfortable enough with Ox starting for us again. Might be harsh but Connolly is not for me at all. Too small and that performance against Aberdeen left a lot to be desired.
  4. Can't say I've been paying much attention to opposition keepers, but had a wee look at their passing accuracy stats for the last couple of games. Ward was between 70-80%, McCracken 50-60% and Prior around 40% for both matches. Could be to do with how many long balls they're hitting, but given what happened with Oxborough, you'd wonder if they're the type of keeper Jens would be after.
  5. I've got to admit, that I am slowly falling into the ' can't be arsed anymore' category. Which, in itself is bewildering to me, as Ive been going for well over fifty years now and this season has been one of the best from a pure footballing perspective. Over the years, we got some absolutely stinking decisions against us and probably quite a few in our favour, which don't get memorised so much. However, the introduction of VAR, should have been a force for good, but has now became the antithesis of what it was supposed to be. Games are now being refereed from a secret broom cupboard somewhere, because the on field officials either cannot, or will not, make an decision or, in the few occasions that they actually call it, as they see it, have the balls to stick with a decision, when they are called the monitor to have another look. Modern day players add to this by going down at every opportunity, both sides were guilty of this yesterday and it seems to happen everywhere, every week. However, having a game re-refereed, five weeks after the event was a tipping point for me, we've all had our say, on what did/didn't happen that night. But I've always been in the 'when the full time whistle blows, then the game is over' camp when it comes to on field activities. Over officialdom is killing our game at an ever rapid pace and the people at the top need to get the message, but that message has to come from the fans and by that I mean every club, that is forced to use VAR on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, what should be an exciting post split period looks like a bit of a slog for me personally, however I very much doubt, I am the only one.
  6. Agree with your reasons pal, just not for me
  7. I've only watched him a few times but he's been good most of those times he's earned Dundee 4 points against us by making some big saves in the games, made a few decent saves in the derby game I watched and the game they beat Celtic. He's also young and Scottish so we could make some money from him if we can platform in a way he takes 1 of the back-up keeper slots in the National Team.
  8. Mccracken? Jeez no....don't rate him at all
  9. Just my opinion but if we got offered over a million then take it. I have never been a huge fan and if JBA wants keepers to be an extra outfield player then better options out there.
  10. Today
  11. I think if a bid came in the 1.5M range he'd be off. He's been good for us but I feel he always has a mistake in him. If he is off I'd be having a look at Prior from Livi or McCracken at Dundee who's OOC. Oxborough also was a solid enough keeper for us when he was starting last season so I wouldn't mind him getting another go.
  12. Correct and I'm starting to think we should do the same with Manwanhise
  13. I wouldn't think there will be queues of clubs after him. Much of our clean sheet record was down to our style of play.
  14. He was a one season wonder, that we cashed in on at the right time.
  15. Any thoughts on ward being with us/ not being with us next season? Haven't heard anything concrete, but hard to imagine his ability to play combined with the clean sheet record going unnoticed. No idea what sort of fee he could command either.
  16. Ffs!! Don't call me that.....the backlash will be horrendous 🤣🤣
  17. See Theo Bair has been loaned out to Swiss Club Lausanne Sport. 6 goals in 13 games a decent start but unsurprisingly he didn't have it for the French top league.
  18. A victory at Ibrox would certainly go a long way towards healing the wounds from the last month. If Rangers were to miss out on the title partly because of Stephen Welsh's late equaliser at FP and because we beat them in the last meeting of the season, that would give this old Well fan more than a little satisfaction.
  19. Likewise, I’m reasonably pleased with that. It’s between us and Hibs for 4th now. I actually fancy us at Ibrox with Slattery back and a few others back to fitness. Rangers at times today were absolutely appalling.
  20. Of course and that’s why I have regularly bemoaned our inability to make chances count and get points on the board. It’s been a running theme of the season and I don’t see it changing at this late stage unfortunately. Don’t worry mate, you’ll be safe from that nonsense as long as I’m around. 🤣
  21. And I despise the old firm just incase I start getting allegiance pish aimed at me
  22. Happy with that result today. Keeps Falkirk 8pts behind with our goal difference miles better. 5th will get you into europe if sellik win cup which I think they will. Gives us safety net if hibs catch us
  23. It will come from a game where we actually score with some of our chances and dont loose stupid goals. We were looking most likely to score in the second half yesterday missed two great chances then lost a daft penalty. Can't keep that up its bound to change.
  24. I think that tells us all we need to know
  25. The Well Society ran a poll on VAR earlier in the season. Not sure if any other clubs have done similar, but there have certainly been similar from other fan organisations. Just needs someone to pull it all together and take it forward. If the SPFL is indeed there to facilitate the clubs, then they would have to listen. No point complaining about it if we dont try to effect change. Im sure the Well Society are well aware of and share the view of most fans.
