I think we have to look at spending Money to keep JBA here for a couple years. Well at least enough to stop him going to a Scottish rival. We won’t be able to compete money wise if an English team comes calling. I don’t think we have spent much of the Miller money but I’d be willing to spend a chunk of it to keep JBA here for a bit. I see that as a good investment.
-
But if Aberdeen sack Thelin then would they come looking at JBA??
- Today
-
Yes. I hope Killie win. I’m happy for SK to stay there dragging them down.
-
A comfortable home win is a must, though there’s probably more chance of Ward scoring than either of our two strikers.
-
They are currently winning 1-0, which to be fair would be a good result for us if killie won.
-
I certainly hope so!!!!!!!!
-
What's the chances of Kettlewell ending up there if killie lose today?
-
Another draw I’m afraid. 1-1
-
I think Welsh should be available but will JBA play him. More of a gash than concussion I think. At least on the bench I would think. JT been struggling a wee bit so maybe the break will be good for both him and the team. My replacement would be Cook who can score goals too.

This whole business of watering the pitch weird, and pissing about with the multi ball is so small time. However, its flattering that teams now need to coordinate with gardeners and children to stop us.

At their end the balls were beside the posts. Our end they were nearly at the corner flag. Also the ball boys were throwing the ball to them to take the set pieces quickly and lifting up the balls for us. Just a deliberate way of slowing the game down for us. Thought the multi ball on cones was meant to stop that crap -
I see Ross county have sacked Tony Docherty after their 6-0 pumping by Raith rovers yesterday. I hope they dont get the new manager bounce and hit some form before the Scottish cup tie

A friend texted me with an account of the Ball Boys incident. They were placing balls near the corner flags to stop us taking quick bykicks. JBA sent Tom Sparrow to move them in line with the 6 yard box. The Ball Boys then kept moving them back. Pathetic gamesmanship from Jim Goodwin. Thanks Ian. Although I wasn't at the game nor at Falkirk, the referees should have stepped in and nipped this practice in the bud. Its downright cheating. This and "selective" watering of plastic pitches should be subject to a code of conduct issued by the authorities to stamp this kind of thing out. Its bringing the game into disrepute.

Quite refreshing to watch a game with zero controversy and no VAR calls. When was the last time that happened….? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was okay with the starting selection to begin with as he has earned the right to prove us all wrong. But it was fairly obvious from early in the second half that we needed fresh legs and more width to counteract what United were doing, so my only beef is that the subs should have come earlier. We looked more of a threat when Longelo and Said came on. Be nice to see them start on Saturday.
-
Ive not heard but i suspect its not using the multi ball system we have at Fir park and thd ball boys being instructed to take as much time as possible to return the ball, to stop us getting on eith the game quickly.
-
Not a crunch game in the true sense, but an important one nonetheless if we're serious about a top 6 challenge. Dundee hasn't got the best defensive record in the league; in fact its joint worst with Livingston. However thats only a factor if we can pressurise them and get the ball into their box. JT will be absent as might Stephen Welsh. Two potentially big losses. Hopefully, JBA will pick a more adventurous defence.
-
This is where JBA earns his corn, like every other manager. John McGlynn and Jim Goodwin changed their game to negate us but in doing so sacrificed their own game, although the media won't say that. Its now up to JBA to tweak our own approach to counteract that. And, so it goes on... Yes, it was a more cautious team selection and presumably JBA got it very slightly wrong.
-
What exactly happened at these games?
-
Agreed. We need to be winning this. We have proved team selection isnt necessarily defining for a Jens team, but attitude will be. Come out the blocks firing with the desire to make a statement. Lets go into the tough holiday period feeling good about ourselves.

Shows how far we’ve come when we’re disappointed not to win at Tanndadice On a wet & windy December afternoon it was always going to be tough . Teams are getting wise and negate us playing through them , they also know how to handle (man handle) Just who is an excellent player but it’s man v boy in physical sense. I felt it was obvious from early on that we needed width which SOD won’t offer and JK limited on left . For me id have have Sparrow Longelo on , both are very effective . Said and RCC both offer a bit of physicality, having them on much earlier would have improved things . All that being said , 0-0 is decent . I can’t recall being close to Xmas and only losing 2 games .

Who else was getting hacked off with the ball boys behaviour? Very same happened at Falkirk the other week. -
If we are serious about top6 then we need to be winning games like this. No JT for this game but I think RCC can come in and do a good job for us.
-
It’s a wee bit strange that we are high up the scoring ranks but yet have went 5 games in a row with a clean sheet and only won 2 of those games. Which obviously points to us needing more goals.

A win or a draw? Would love a score win, but it is what it is. SIWY
