  1. Past hour
  2. So hopefully he’s recovered and available right after the international break? That must be about 8 weeks, since the league cup games started in July.
  3. This from club website on 16th July: Jordan McGhee is set to spend 6 to 8 weeks on the sidelines with a thigh injury. He picked up the injury ahead of the first match against Clyde in the Premier Sports Cup. He has begun his rehabilitation and we look forward to welcoming him back into the squad. Jens Berthel said “It’s very unfortunate that we lose Jordan for this period of time. He’s made a very good impression in my time here. He brings experience and versatility to the squad, so he will be missed. However, he is already on the road to recovery and we look forward to him getting back soon.”
  4. Mcghee played 30+ games for all but one of the last 8 seasons or so, going over 40 a few times. So I wouldn't describe him as a Callachan style crock. We signed the latter after him being out a whole season. We'll see how this season goes, but Mcghee will be up against it trying to get into the team having missed pre season.
  5. Was there an update on McGhee? Or Slattery injury?
  6. Don’t we subject players to medicals? If so why donee keep getting “crocks”?
  7. When McGhee signed i am sure you and I had the discussion about my concerns about his injury record. Take no satisfaction about being right. Was it a gamble worth taking?
  8. Unfortunately, I fear McGhee might be this season’s Callachan.
  9. A goalkeeper should command their box and deal with threats before going for the ball, either by clearing them out or being more aware. With the protection they get, there is no excuse. Foul or not on Ward, he has to be stronger in those situations. Maybe he just is not capable of it. And he has butterfingers.
  10. Might be a very interesting season ahead. Results so far would say very little between all of the non of the old firm teams, even Morse so than usual, and perhaps not as much of a gap between them and the rest.
  11. Today
  12. Thought we might have been interested in Shamal George. Was at Livingston and now at St Mirren. What’s happened to Jordan McGhee?
  13. Wee Dougie Arnott had this off to an art form. 😂
  14. Which is what someone I know said to me yesterday and I posted the same on here. Too many rumours flying about on pie and bov I think
  15. That’d be great news, we really missed him yesterday. Said did fine but the 4 of Watt, Fadinger, just and slattery play really well together.
  16. Also said on Spoftscene that Slattery had 'A knock', which sounds far more promising that initial fears.
  17. Having watched the highlights was probably a bit harsh on Ap Stam. Great play from him for our equaliser. He's quite frustrating at times. O'Donnell had another perfectly good game. If we could combine the JBA play with the Wimmer press we'd be formidable. One thing that is slightly getting to me is that we're a yeard off the press at times and allowing crosses in. Another good performance tbough and infinity more watchable. Just need to be a bit sharper in final third and cut out the needless errors.
  18. Agree about Ward. It was a foul, but keepers get away with GBH when they jump for a ball he and needed to be bullying the Killie players out the way.
  19. There was minimal contact but ward should be catching that every day of the week, that's definitely a worry going forward he can't claim a simple cross under very little pressure cause he will be getting them fired at him every game.
  20. Slattery is the same as anyone else at the club - if an offer comes in which the club think is good business, he will be off Signing for Millwall tomorrow by the way Just made that up 🤣
  21. This 100%. Not a clumsy challenge but a deliberate foul nonetheless. Where is VAR when you need it? Good point about centre backs. Both were posted missing when they should have been protecting Ward. Overall, I thought the referee was poor. Very weak and inconsistent as shown by his booking of Gordon. Why wasn't the Killie player carded for a very similar foul on Said earlier?
  22. That’s fine, but strikers are there to score.
  23. I really thought he didn’t get pushed but after watching it over and over there probably was some contact. So I don’t think people are making things up. I’m still not 100% sure but any contact there was is very slight and I’d have expected him to still have held the ball. Or perhaps a better choice would have been to knock it out for a corner. Either way we will continue with what JBA decides. Im surprised though, to see some apprehension regarding the manager. What a breath of fresh air and such a difference in such a short space of time. 100% on board with JBA. I may not agree with everything he does and there is still room for improvement
  24. I'm hoping they are heading north on the M74 ready to be unveiled on Monday,
  25. AP you can't fault his work rate. He contributed but to me he seems to lack abit of sharpness in the box. He also needs to work on his runs beyond the opposition defence. Far to many careless offsides. Maybe once the team gels it will click. As for O'Donnell, he has played well recently, but now like Ward you wonder when the defensive mistake will happen. I rather have Johnny at right back as he is more mobile. I thought they were looking at players pushing opponents when they are in the air and making no attempt to go for ball. I'm sure it was Kettlewell, funny enough, who constently highlighted the dangers of inbalancing an opponent. The contact on Ward was slight but enough to gain an advantage. Goalies are over protected anyhow, but consistency would be nice. Ward needs to be stronger, but would also ask where was our center backs? Still early days but although mistakes have stopped us winning, it has been entertaining and that's what we all wanted. Long may it continue and with abit of luck and improvements that will happen we will win.
