We were also unlucky that that cheating bastard Craig Thomson was the ref and Sinclair was a diving cunt.

SK quickly into a double digit winless run at Killie. Shoogly peg must be working overtime.

League Cup Semi Motherwell v St Mirren 1/11/2025

Unpopular opinion and this is fine by me Absolutely gutted we lost in the semi final , I woke up this morning thinking I could have been at Hampden today , the way the season is going with a very good chance of beating Celtic today On the other hand happy St Mirren , Robbo and Las won , and hoping even more now we win the Scottish Cup š Would rather see any team outwith those 2 Glasgow mobs win -
I want a win after watching that league cup final. Anything less and we should be removing JBA. or is my annoyance and my āit should have been usā blinkeredness distorting my mind. Joking aside we āshouldā win this and 3 points is important as itāll be 2 tough games after this. I do hope RCC comes in to replace JT as Iād like to see him getting more of a run, gives us a goal option to.
-
Well done to St Mirren, good to see anyone but the Old Firm win a cup!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I am ok with that are yer positivity has had an effect on the team š
-
Robbo will be unbearable but I am glad buddies won. I hate seeing old firm win anything. I will say I am delighted for Las
-
It helps when the clearly superior opposition has shot themselves in the foot repeatedly with bad decisions on and off the park relating to managers and player recruitment. Weāve never got that slice of fortune whenever weāve faced Celtic in cup finals in recent times. Obviously that was outwith our control but as I said I still wouldnāt have backed us to beat this particular Celtic side in a Cup final had it been us playing them today.

Goes to show you can win things with hammer throwers. Ugly football but if you got lucky with circumstances and hard work it can win cups. -
I hope a bigger club does take him away from St.Mirren now. I hate St.Mirren with a passion. Robinson is a decent guy who did well with us and unfortunately much better with them.

Your right. We didn't lay a glove on Celtic at the finals and also lost heavily to rangers in final prior to those. It is gutting to know that could well have been chance of a generation to see us win a cup. Robinson will probably move on to bigger club now. -
Thatās what guts me. Robinson got us to two cup finals and we never laid a glove on them. Circumstances have obviously worked in St.Mirrens favour this year with Celtic being in turmoil but even if that had been us playing that Celtic team today we would still have ended up losing. We are not nearly clinical and streetwise enough as a team to win games like these. I never ever thought I would be so annoyed to see Celtic lose a cup final but I am honestly fucking pig sick seeing St.Mirren win that.

Big chance missed by Mwell. Celtic were there for the taking and we played out our worst game at that semi final. Robinson never got close to beating them with us in our finals. We probably won't get chance of silverware for many years now as both old firm will improve after January. -
St Mirren did what they had to do but Celtic were awful. Celtic manager changing his approach to keep players on side and they produce that performance. No way he survives long. Just goes to show what good honest professinals we have to take on board what our manager wants them to do.
-
I am truly sickened about that. Iām giving up football for the foreseeable.
-
I was not wanting St Mirren to win that purely out of petty jealousy and annoyance at our semi final performance butā¦. Iām ok about it now. I canāt stand wee Robinson but Iām pleased for guys like Lasley. i canāt imagine how insufferable their fans will be now right enough.
-
Ah well, weāll just have to win the Scottish Cup instead.
-
We fecked up big time in the semi, a big opportunity missed, lets hope we learned from it for the Scottish cup
-
Totally agree. Utd with their resources reverting to time waste at home against us to try and get a point. Would be good if a journalist raised this nonsense.
-
We were a little unlucky when Robinson took us to the finals that a good Celtic side were waiting. Every team will be fancying their chances in the Scottish Cup this year, though.
-
Depends on what he is like with penalties
-
No reason we cant win the cup with a little bit of luck. No other team currently scares me. Watching the league cup final and celtic are awful. St Mirren doing what they do best. Direct agressive and clinical. Mind you their goalie is taking the p with the 8 second rule. Constantly way over 10 seconds. Then there is players from both sides rolling about without any contact. The officials just dont have a clue what a foul or rules are. St mirren obviously destined to win cup. If its your year then everything goes your way.

There's no amount we could spend on JBA that an interested rival team couldn't match or exceed. As I have said elsewhere, though, the positive is that JBA is implementing a style that a large number of teams across Europe are playing. So whe the time comes, it should be easier to find someone to keep it going.
-
I think we have to look at spending Money to keep JBA here for a couple years. Well at least enough to stop him going to a Scottish rival. We wonāt be able to compete money wise if an English team comes calling. I donāt think we have spent much of the Miller money but Iād be willing to spend a chunk of it to keep JBA here for a bit. I see that as a good investment.
