  1. Past hour
  2. That’s kind of what I mean about missed opportunities. We could and really should have put a fair bit of daylight between the likes of Rangers, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen yet we find ourselves more or less tied with them point wise. I would expect Rangers and Aberdeen to get stronger as the season goes on in fact they almost certainly will, Killie perhaps not so much but time will tell. We have blown wins now three games on the trot and as I said earlier the longer we go without getting a win the more of an issue it becomes. I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if we are still seeking our first win come November.
  3. Could have been watt, fadinger (anyone else struggle to tell the difference between these two?), TJ or Longelo. Went for Watt to spread my votes out a bit.
  4. I believe his fans from home call him JT but JT or TJ it's no biggie. Unless he's allergic to being called TJ
  5. It's not just us who are struggling to win - four other teams are in the same position
  6. But is there any reason to think we can actually beat anyone?
  7. I'll disagree there and say it does concern us what our opponents do. Because you get to a point in the season where you look for your opponents to drop points. Also. I respect your frustration and point of view - but others don't need to call it as you see it
  8. Based on our results and performances along side other results, there’s no reason to be afraid of any team.
  9. That’s just a cop out answer. What Aberdeen, Rangers or anyone else does or doesn’t do doesn’t concern us. The facts are that we have thrown away six points in our last three games from winning positions and we are now in mid September without a win in 90 minutes to our name since the season began proper. We now have Aberdeen away in the League Cup, then Aberdeen again at home in the League then Celtic away. Looking at that run of fixtures you have got to be honest and say that we will in all likelihood win none of them. (The home game against Aberdeen is probably our best chance imo but even then you wouldn’t count on it). If that turns out to be the case then we can only look back at our start to the season and the last three games in particular as a big, big set of missed opportunities to get points on the board. It’s still early days but this is shaping up to be a very frustrating season already.
  10. Don't think that's a new thing for us to be fair - not being able to hold a lead
  11. On the plus side, if we draw every game until the end of the season, we should hopefully be safe 🤣
  12. That just shows how well we have been playing - that it could have been five wins in five. Jens isn't the problem in my view - it's the lack of a proven striker - but when I said a few months that we needed someone who could put 20 plus goals away a season I was reminded that that isn't the budget we operate in Hopefully when Hendry is back from injury he'll make a difference. Slattery too. McGhee too... All the injured players.... We miss a Spittal type player
  13. Not at the game today so won't comment on it but.... I think it will be interesting when we go into the 2nd round of matches. Usually in the second round of matches teams are more familiar with the set up and go into matches to counteract the opposition tactics established earlier in the season. If we can't win matches in the first round of matches it might be even more of a struggle to get wins later in the season unless we change something up, which I don't think is Askou's way. I've always said you look at things 11, 22, 33 matches into the season, that's when you review it so there is still a while for us to get wins but we really need to start winning matches. 3-0 up at Hearts, 2-1 up against Kilmarnock, 1-0 up against Dundee. 6 points dropped from not being able to hold a lead. It's an issue if it continues.
  14. Thought Fadinger played well, he got my vote but Maswanhise did very well considering how burnt out he must be and I thought Welsh looked pretty good.
  15. Could be worse. We could be Aberdeen or Rangers. It'll come. We're five weeks into a season with a complete change of players and style. We've outplayed everyone we've seen this season. It'll come good at the top end in time. Another good thing is we're five games undefeated, which is miles better than the five games without a win it would have been if Kettlewell was still in charge 😂
  16. Yes that and “on another day” On another day we turn our 2nd half dominance against Rangers into a win On another day we don’t bottle a 3-0 lead at Tynecastle to be left clinging on for a draw On another day Ward doesn’t drop the ball to throw away two points against Killie On another day we could have been two, three up against Dundee but only end up drawing. I’m sorry but this “on another day” just isn’t happening for me. You can blame Ward all you like, but this team under this manager has yet to show that it is capable of winning football matches. And let me be as clear as I possibly can here. I am not for one second suggesting that the manager should be sacked or that I think that he should be. Not at all. What I am saying though that I remain far from convinced with him and this team and until we finally record a win in 90 minutes or in next weeks case progress in the League Cup then that will remain the case.
  17. Welsh done very well for a first start.
  18. Better to be on a 5 draws than 5 losses run. We never hit the heights of the first half. A few running on empty towards the end and injuries hampering our options off the bench. AP and TJ should have scored with their missed chances.
  19. With everyone injured and Stama, who couldn’t score in a barrel of fannies, all we’ve got is Osong, who looks completely powderpuff.
  20. I'll take it over 2 wins and a draw playing hoofball. Admittedly though, it does need to produce the wins at some point. The way I see it, it's basically a few few freak errors which have prevented us picking up AT LEAST one win.
  21. Correct. Especially when you take into account being 3-0 up with less than half an hour to go and only draw, 2-1 up with less than ten to go at home and only draw and today 1-0 up and comfortable in the first half yet fail to press home our advantage and again only draw. We could very well look back on this sequence of results and rue them as a very big missed opportunity.
  22. Nice play and do How many chances will Stamatelopoulos get with JBA, he is feckin brutal, no positional sense, always on the back foot, and generally looks out of his depth in most games. If we still had the likes of Moult, KVV or Bair up top, we would be top 2 at least
  23. Really disappointing not winning that. we had 2 clear chances with AP and Maswanhise in that second half and we should have been out of sight. first half was excellent, second half was a tougher watch …. Anyway, onwards we go
  24. When will we give a team a good going over. I’ve been hearing that since the Rangers game ?
  25. Sorry to say as some of the football is great to watch but 5 games undefeated or 5 games without a win, whatever way you say it, that’s another 2 points dropped. Not good enough.
