  1. Past hour
  2. I'm not so sure about that. The form he has shown so far will not have gone unnoticed. And Welsh would be a cheaper option and less risky than bringing in some unknown CB from the Far East. They tried that this summer and that future superstar has disappeared without trace. Another waste of money that the media seem to ignore. And who knows if Rodgers will still be there. He has history when the going gets tough. Hearts win on Sunday and the pressure will go through the roof.
  3. It would be the biggest surprise of the season if they did.
  4. its the key match incident review panel, the people that tell the VAR teams that they are feckin hopeless and keep making a James Hunt of it.
  5. Today
  6. We’re lucky to have eyes though and a modicum of footballing knowledge to realise we are watching 100% better football than any of the statistical seasons above. We could easily go on a run of wins and I still don’t see us finishing in the bottom six. we have the keys to a suped up twin exhaust Honda civic here 🤣 time we all realised it
  7. Was looking at previous starts to the season up to this point. 25/26 Askou - 8pts 24/25 Kettlewell - 13pts 23/24 Kettlewell - 10pts 22/23 Hammell - 10pts 21/22 Alexander - 14pts 20/21 Robinson - 8pts 19/20 Robinson - 16pts 18/19 Robinson - 5pts 17/18 Robinson - 13pts 16/17 McGhee - 8pts 15/16 Barraclough - 7pt So Askou's start is in the bottom 5 and there has only been 2 worse starts in the last 10 years. Looking closer at the seasons with 8 points or less (but obviously not including this one) there are 4. We finished Bottom 6 in 3 out of 4. The manager was also fired or resigned in 3 out of 4. The exception was season 15/16 when Barraclough was fired after 8 matches, McGhee came in and we shot up the league. Now I definitely don't want another manager replaced and I think the season can still go either way but just looking at the facts over the last ten seasons it doesn't look great for Askou. Really need to win at Livingston tomorrow.
  8. I thought that earlier too but I’m not sure Rogers rates him much and their delusional fans think he’s hopeless. If he was Irish though or foreign they’d be calling for an immediate recall. Thankfully he’s from Coatbridge so he’s deemed not good enough and doesn’t kiss the badge enough for the world beaters and the worlds best fans. i hope we can get him permanently as he’s a really good fit for us.
  9. So the KMI panel has confirmed yet another VAR mistake. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/13663/10-kmi-23rd-october-matches-18th-19th-oct-2025-outcomes.pdf As I've said before, the KMI panel doesn't actually change anything. It just highlights mistakes we already know about, offers no accountability, and is a complete waste of time. Brilliant.
  10. While that might be true we would never have got to the final without a brilliant performance by Marshall in the semi final.
  11. Carter vickers out for 5 months possibly, hope sellik don't have option to recall welsh
  12. Cue.............ba boom
  13. That whole occasion brings back bad memories. Its up there with one of my least favourite matches I’ve ever attended. From being hijacked a bit with the Davie Cooper final tag (I loved cooper but I didn’t particularly like the constant love in build up with Rangers… we dont get to finals enough for that to have happened) this ended up with Rangers fans thinking it was fine to snap tickets up on mass….. pardon the pun… for our end. We had dozens of them pi55ed up wandering in draped in union jacks, singing the sash and FTP and wanting to fight with our fans who told them to Fk up and get out. By the time they got ejected we were 3-1 down. it was a rotten day.
  14. But was pretty decent getting us there
  15. Jeez it's brings it all back, big marsh had a mare that day
  16. stv

    Richard Foster

Or as fast as his trousers did
  17. Aye but had we not had Gordon Marshall who absolutely sold the Jerseys that day the result could have been different or at least alot closer. We brought it back to 2-1 within 13 mins and had them back peddling then that big Diddy sold the Jerseys.
  18. Not forgetting injuries to Walsh, Clancy, beaton and Robertson.
  19. Swings and roundabouts. Alot of it depends on the state of the squads and how Röhl performs. Johnston got injured again last night and CCV done his achillies as well. Ihenacho also got injured. An injury to others Eg Scales, or McGregor and they are in a mess.
  20. We were up against a rangers team in 2005 that had bob Malcolm and Ross in side. We had O'Donnell and Scot Mcdonald but still lost 5.1. There's usually old firm bias. Budget divide is massive.
  21. The two worst Old Firm sides we'd ever face in a final....
  22. One step at a time as we still have to play a Wimbledon circa 1988 side to get there but I agree I’d much prefer Rangers as they are the poorer side …. but Celtic will also not be too confident going into a final after their last shambles against Aberdeen. If either us or st Mirren manage it, both have a really good chance of causing an upset.
  23. Obviously, I’m hoping we make it to the final but also hoping the blue uglies make it, so that Welsh can play in the final.
  24. Exactly!! Very similar to my view. He’s barely got his feet in the door and already has transformed us and done something that I don’t think I’ve seen in all my years supporting the ‘Well…. Increased the attendance at Fir park!!! Yes, we all want results but it’s early days and we need to have confidence that results will come. However, we need to realise that they might not come as quickly as we would like and may not come till after January or maybe next season. I think we have a much better chance of becoming a good team by supporting JBA and the players in what they are trying to do than reverting back to “normal” guid honest laddies approach which makes your eyes bleed. Fair enough to make comments and some criticism on forums but let’s keep it in perspective and let’s not get on their backs and start panicking, especially at the games. We know there will be ups and downs but I think the fans have to stay positive. I’m excited to see what JBA can achieve with us and have already enjoyed this season way more than any of the recent past ones.
