  1. Past hour
  2. I like Casey. He's flawed, but definitely a good defender at our level that would get a game for most teams in our league. Having a defender that can chip in with some goals, and a player with some personality is always nice. On the other hand, our defense overall is poor, so I am not going to be too fussed about anyone leaving it. Not every goal is a defenders fault, but we do have a group of error prone defenders, and not enough going forward to gloss over that.
  3. My brother just said they could double our offer - sad - but it is what is is
  4. I would have preferred casey to stay over mcginn and odonnell but if he did it would have been an even less of a chance to improve our poor defence but now we have a space in the team and a wage to hopefully bring in someone that can make us better.good luck to dan wherever he ends up.
  5. Huddersfield apparently. Been a good servant, not without his faults, but one of our better centre half’s in recent times
  6. I'm personally sorry to see Dan go. Good luck to him wherever he ends up
  7. agree with that - better going forward than he was in defence. What I really struggle with is how many players we offered further contracts to. Do the club really think he'd be part of the solution. I know there were clauses in likes of SODs contact etc but honestly we need to get our act together in this area. As a club we hand out too many contracts to players we should be moving on.
  8. I would too. But if he was appointed I'd give him my support like Id give anyone offered the job
  9. Absolutely none. It's just a general discussion about Scott Brown. I'd be surprised if he was being seriously considered.
  10. I'd worry about the time it is taking once we're past this week, as that would put us on a longer timeline than when we got Wimmer, which also had the work permit time built in. The difficulty this time around is that nothing else is happening because it's the close season, and we announced a couple of signings already, so we're just all bored and waiting for info. The other wrinkle is that we have a good chunk of the squad decided, and yet to realize any funds from a Miller sale, so there's no rush on that front. We also have pre season all sorted and organized, so not much to panic about.
  11. Its time to take him off now he has done his bit.
  12. I get that - but when folk say I think we are talking to this person - there's nothing to substantiate it Of course it's a general discussion. My point was there's nothing to suggest we are talking to Brown - did anyone think we were talking to Wimmer?
  13. Today
  14. Hope a lot of scouts watching him as has looked very good tonight, I know it's only Liechtenstein but he has been very productive. Let the bidding war begin
  15. Well quite. According to someone on Facebook who knows a "source" it's taking so long because we have had so many applications from overseas
  16. There is no evidence we are talking to anyone. And credit to the Club for keeping matters under wraps. So this is just a general discussion about possibilities with various names thrown in.
  17. It's all speculation, nothing of substance has surfaced from the club or any potential applicants.
  18. Where's the evidence we are having talks with Scott Brown? Did he not rule himself out last time?
  19. Aye, I'd be a bit underwhelmed by Brown. Ayr got good publicty in the media and started the season off well, but they were backed with a bit of dosh. He benefitted in the media from the Celtic connection. I saw them against Raith Rovers and they were pretty uninspiring and yes, they were poor in the play offs. Maybe his players didn't perform but it wasn't all down to them. Not quite sure what all the hype is about to be honest.
  20. He is telling players to give him the ball all the time he is on cruise control right now. Just so comfortable looks like its his 50th cap never mind his first start and 2nd appearance.
  21. Involved in both goals so far and certainly playing well.
  22. And great work for 2nd. He's doing well so far
  23. Nice assist from Miller there...
  24. Brown never needed any of the dark arts,he just knew he would get away with anything when it came to referees.
  25. Watching Scotland play, that's the assignment the club scouts don't want.
  26. Happy to see him secure a starting spot. Hopefully the European scouts are watching.
  27. Good luck to him. This is thoroughly deserved.
