  1. Past hour
  2. Probably is yes. But as I’ve already said I really like JBA. He’s been brilliant for us this season and I hope we can hold on to him for a while yet. But he got it badly wrong tonight. There is no other way of putting it I’m afraid.
  3. Correct...it is Aberdeen away so why make so many changes. JBA is an absolute legend and what he has brought this season is immense but that doesn't mean he cant be criticised when he gets it wrong which he certainly did tonight.
  4. Should probably have started a team befitting of a game against Aberdeen away, rather than Albion Rovers.
  5. Team selection almost certainly played a part in the semi final so we have learned nothing to then go and do the same again tonight, massive opportunity gone with a mid table championship waiting in the next round.
  6. Don’t, just don’t. We were never in contention for the league title but the Cup was a genuine opportunity if we had only taken it seriously. That is Tam Cowan levels of β€œAch well, we can concentrate oan the league title challenge now he-he-he aren’t we a great wee diddy team we’ve goat everybody billing and coo-ing about oor fitbaaaw” patter.
  7. Thats what 3 , 4 or 5 times youv said that? Here fishy fishy.....
  8. What? For a start, this is Aberdeen away not Albion Rovers. The day any Motherwell fan thinks we can simply turn up to these games and walk away with a victory is the day we have turned to OF levels of entitlement. Secondly, ever player that started tonight should have been capable of putting in a decent performance. Gordon was the natural replacement for Welsh. The club have just invested in Connelly as a long term goalkeeping option. But for an unfortunate 3rd minute incident we could and probably would have been more than competitive this evening. It is very interesting how quickly it all turns sour. If JBA were to read these boards this evening he would have every right to think WTF!!!
  9. Best chance in years and cocked up by JBA maybe believing the hype. That starting line up all wrong. What you do is start strongest team and put them out of sight then change it. No complaints about reds...if they ate up other end you are screaming for them. However.........it is a bad night but this season still been immense and a lot if football left. Let's focus on finishing 4th at worst and getting a reaction on Saturday. COYW
  10. Red cards yes. The first one we cant blame our own doing. It was a slip by a player every one of us would trust to be put into the starting line up. Losing a man & goal so early to a slip is what set the tone. Our own doing however was not having the ability to draw even when Aberdeen went down to 10 men & then shooting ourselves in the foot.
  11. Mines are fine , I still had faith unlike many on here.
  12. So much wrong tonight with selection and another slow start to a game - this time punished quite disjointed all over the pitch started with 3 central defenders Not at the races and went out with a whimper .
  13. Need to move on, full focus on the league now. Would not be surprised if Aberdeen go out at East End BTW.
  14. JBA fucked it before kick off and Beaton put the cherry on top. Time to win the league now.
  15. Just Bloody Awful We’ve been badly let down by the manager tonight.
  16. Possibly, but we saw strange team selections in Cup games by McCall, McGhee and Kettlewell when they were with us so maybe it’s a deeper rooted issue at the club that we don’t fully emphasise the importance of doing well in cup competitions to various players and managers.
  17. I thought that as well, but the more you see the 1st red, the more it looks like Connelly is getting there before Cameron. Doesn’t get JBA off the hook though, he’s been absolutely great but this is at his door.
  18. Jens must be here, bulding on it next season, otherwise it is an utter piss take.
  19. It's no surprise gordon played in the pumping in the semi final either, the guy is brutal.
  20. Better team with nine men btw i am not raging one bit cause after this we are going to go unbeaten rest of the season. Everybody just simmer.
  21. Can blame Beaton and VAR all day but it's nothing but clutching at straws. Both by the letter of the law were red cards caused by our own doing. Really disappointing.
  22. Can't really put into words how fucking fuming I am at this. The Cup was something to look forward to as end-game for all of this. Now pissed up the wall.
  23. I would certainly hope not, still been a great season but tonight is an absolute kick in the nuts ( sorry Faddy)
  24. Utter nonsense. Clutching at straws for dear life trying to blame the officials when we didn’t start our strongest 11 in the first place. The officials did not cost us this game, both red cards were correct decisions going by the rules of the game.
  25. Just blow the whistle beaton. Ive had enough.
