If there's a finite amount of errors from Ward that jba is willing to accept we have not reached it yet. Will it be another 4 or 5 games once we're out the cup and dropped more points?
-
What a horrible dream I had. Woke up sweating. We were 2-1 up at Parkhead and doing great until a horrendous howler from Ward then an injury time winner for sellik. Thank God that didn't happen............. Awwww nawwwwww 🤪🤪

The press jumped on the Kettlewell ‘story’ because false headlines shift papers, while the truth about Martin doesn’t suit their agenda.
- Today
-
You're spot on. Sevco fans are more important than than Martin though, whilst Kettlewell is more important than Well fans (in the eyes of the media).
-
Pretty much how I feel.

The luck they always have against us? is it luck. How many times have we lost games against Celtic in injury time over the last few years?
-
Correct , in any type of play a keeper of ANY standard should be able to deal with that today. He just made an horrendous error of judgement. Sadly too many have been happening to him . The dropped ball against Kilmarnock was not because of our style of play. The two goals against Hearts were not because of our style of play. They were all basic goalkeeping errors. I suspect there will be a finite level of the number of basic errors the manager will accept.

If Ox isnt up to it, its a long time until January if you've burned the only alternative. Im not saying Im happy with the mistakes he has made, but I was more upset about the handling errors in the Hearts and Killie games than today. Not that it makes any difference what any of us think as JBA is going to back him and thats all that counts.
-
I don’t think it’s an expectation thing, I’d say it’s more to do with players willingness to dig in and do the hard work rather then wait for someone else to do it, our players work rate if a hell of a lot more than theirs and for that we should all be grateful.
-
Calum Ward's error rate is now unsustainable. Yes, keepers do make mistakes, but there comes a point when it really becomes unacceptable, and thats where we are now. The Ox is now due his chance again. If he proves unreliable then we have to move for a new keeper in the January sales. Goalkeeping errors are now costing us big time.

Kettlewell alleged abuse seems light compared to the awful abuse and thuggery from sevco fans. They tried to stop the bus leaving and Martin needed police escort to leave. If that was well that behaviour would be demonised.
-
If the pass hadn’t gone astray and got to the intended Motherwell player then Ward would have taken out 5 of the Celtic outfield players with one pass, leaving plenty of room for out midfield and strikes to exploit. Yes it’s risk and reward football which when it works is beautiful but when it goes wrong, like today, horrendous. I’m still a believer in it so won’t get too upset about it. Celtic got the breaks today, FFS their penalty came from a McGregor mis-hit shot that bounced up off the ground. It's all ifs, buts and maybes but they definitely got the luck today.

He also cant train due to injuries. He just looks after himself and turns up on matchdays. All fine as ling as he is playing well. Can just imagine this place if he made a mistake! "What we doing signing a guy who cant train! We shouldnt be a retirement home for former players!"

Dundee let Carson go to Ross county. He was good with his feet and hands. I'm thinking they didn't want him to go to rival club.

I went for Stamatelopoulos I've been critical of him and I'm still not convinced but he did well today, so credit where its due.

Just watching Sportscene. First half the maswanhise shot from the tight angle. Keeper saves it then think it’s Carter Vickers simply plays it back to him and Schmeichel catches it. Wtf?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In other news Martin sacked. Bizarrely he has same record in league as JBA. We are getting loads of praise, just shows you expectations of clubs. Personally I think JBA has been great appointment and is getting us there slowly but surely
-
The supposed big point in his favour, which atoned for other sins, was that he was good with his feet. Hmm...
-
He can make lots of types of errors/mistakes then? That don't make it better. I'm with Grizzly. Hoped the best for him but he's costing us points. He also can't command his area and can't deal with crosses. Falkirk goin to put pressure on him on next game , knowing he's liable to make error and test him with crosses also.
-
Agree totally, but point is they are all mistakes he has made. Surely Ox cant be that bad that he doesn't deserve at least a chance?
-
Firstly, Id seperate the previous handling errors from this one as they are not the same type of mistake. 🙄🙄🙄
-
For me , hearts game he spills a shot.....killie game ...spills a simple catch....today.....bonkers pass to opposition. His errors aren't just down to new style. Nice lad and doing his best but imo how many more games is he going to cost us before JBA needs to be ruthless

Its almost as if Jens is a good manager who knows what he is doing! 😉
