  1. Past hour
  2. Do we know if Miller traveled to Holland?
  3. I just wish once,,,,, just once, that we’d sign a pacey winger, a Chris Humphrey, a Marvin Johnson, I’d even celebrate a Lionel ainsworth. I know to some folk just now it’s old fashioned football and they are not “in style” but for the purpose of entertainment and getting to the bye line and whipping a cross in….. give me wingers all day long.
  4. Not a particularly exciting signing, about whom I know very little, but that means nothing. We do need a core of solid citizens in the squad though, something we lacked last season. I wonder if he is a target we've tracked for some time i.e. mainly not of JBA's doing.
  5. Today
  6. Consensus is he is comfortable on the ball and likes a pass. Struggled with his fitness when he first arrived in Scotland so only found his feet towards the end of the season. Scored against us at Fir Park in the 3-2 game but I have no real recollection of that! Has certainly played a lot of first team games and is still only 25. Would appear to be the right demographic if he has the quality. Maybe our Miller replacement?
  7. You did read the line under the one you quoted? 🙄🙄🙄
  8. Or wait and see how well he plays for us.
  9. Not really sure Watt to make of this signing! (Sorry Grizzly!). Never really made any impact on me when Ive seen Saints (if he even played against us). Will need to wait and see what the Saints fans over on P&B think. Although they did say Bair was shite so......
  10. I see Carlisle have signed three strikers already so good chance we could get Luke Armstrong off them as itlooks like he's surplus to requirements
  11. Are we signing players based on their hairstyle as that's Fadinger, McGhee and Watt all going for the Slattery look 🤪
  12. Me to, first thought we had re-signed Elliot Frear!
  13. Near shat the bed when I saw the name. 😁 . Welcome to Motherwell Elliot
  14. Even if he was out of contract and no negotiation agreed, I think Uefa brought in a rule following Bosman that might help us. Up until the season of a player's 23rd Birthday (in the absence of a negotiated agreement) every club that trained a player from ages 12-23 is due a proportionate share of 5% of any future transfer fee. But only if it is a cross country transfer, such as Austria to Italy. That is over and above any compensation due when he first signed for Sturm Graz. MJ is 23 in December 1926 so I think we are covered. It's a heavy read, but Uefa have a full section on Training and also Solidarity compensation (2 different schemes} which confirms the parent Club is compensated right up to age 23 in the absence of any agreement at the outset. I think. Fingers crossed.
  15. Welcome to the club Elliot Watt.
  16. Another potentially decent signing, welcome to the club Tony. Whoops!! Wrong Watt
  17. Watt signs 2-year deal. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2025/06/26/elliot-watt-becomes-our-latest-signing/
  18. Thanks I forgot he left at the end of his contract 🤦‍♂️, aw well no bonus to add to the kitty.
  19. It would depend if we managed to achieve a negotiation. Hopefully we did. On the other hand, it could also be that Max Johnston and Sturm Graz told us that they'd sealed a deal and statutory compensation would be paid. They're a big club so would have little to lose by swerving a negotiation and Max Johnston might not have given us a second thought.
  20. Would we have one as he was out of contract? Hopefully yes
  21. Today's BBC Scotland gossip page reporting that Napoli are allegedly interested in signing Max Johnston from Sturm Graz, I hope we had a decent sell on percentage added when he left us.
  22. Yesterday
  23. No doubt Kettlewell will remind everyone about that after every defeat.
  24. I have it on good authority that Killie are by no means, in a position to pay more for players than we can this season. They have had to significantly tighten their belts due to the costs of their new training facility and upcoming cost of laying a new pitch.
  25. Just looking through the proposals for adult membership again. I'm not 100% sure that the issue of ad hoc top ups has been fully addressed. For example, a legacy member who paid in a considerable lump sum prior to to 2015 and who then tops up by say £50 per annum (less than the £60 threshold). I get that the number of members in this situation may be very small but... Matters will be easier once the app is released. I do think tough that there are ways to simplify this issue as shown by Weeyin's suggestion for example. Whatever your views though, take your chance to vote by tomorrow's deadline. The Society Board has invested a lot of effort and time into working up these proposals and deserves a good response.
