I loved that season. The team weren’t easy on the eye but by God they could grind out wins when it mattered and some big, big wins to celebrate and remember. Scudding Aberdeen at Fir Park then Louis Moult day against Rangers at Hampden in the league cup then beating Hearts in the SCQF with a Carl McHugh belter at the death to set up another rout of Aberdeen in the semis. That was a Motherwell side with character and bottle and as you say had we been up against what was one of the strongest Celtic sides in either final we would probably have won a trophy. I liked Robinson and respect him as a manager, but I hope he doesn’t win a trophy with St.Mirren.
-
Change of manager hopefully brings us a change in attitude and fortune in cup competitions
- Today
-
I do think if Robbo hadn't came up against Celtic in both finals that season we would have won at least one of them Anyway onwards and upwards , hopefully Jens wins one of the cups
-
Anyone recommend a street where to park for Pitoddrie?
-
Robbo is a very good cup manager.
-
Agree with this. Id probably go RCC but wouldnt be surprised if it was Said as JBA has more history with the player. One will replace the other at some point for sure.
-
I believe it is on MFC TV for international supporters.....
-
Think most of the team picks itself today given form and injuries but I think there’s one place up for grabs, I expect to see: Ward, Koutroumbis, Gordon, Welsh, Longelo, Watt, Fadinger, Just, Maswanhise, Stama, ??? Would have been Slattery if fit, but Its probably between Charles-Cook and Said. Think I would go Charles-Cook but interested to see who JBA goes with.
-
Aye but how much was consumed before making the post? Hope ur right though
-
I am in Almaty for a tournament at the moment, is there an international stream still?
-
One that will test my falling capacity for Alcohol One that proves I cant hit a golf ball One that proves I've got double vision on a pool table One that proves I have some of the best mates in the world And hopefully one that sees my team going to a semi final 🤣

If it is a serious straight choice for me Win tomorrow and get to Hampden , then get another draw next week Want to win both of course , but taking the cup 💯 right now
-
What kind of stag weekend are you going to? 🤣🤣
-
Cup win
-
Hammer throwers won against fellow hammer throwers. Pretty average all round.
-
It's almost like Sophie's choice. Hate St Mirren for thuggery style of football, cannae go Kettlewell after way he threw support under bus.
-
Robinson’s a prick and knows it. Kettlewell’s a prick but thinks he isn’t. I know which one I prefer.
-
I'd take a win in either game at this point, but would much prefer it in the cup tie.
-
Simo Valakari 2-1 Neil Lennon 👏 👏 👏
-
Cup any day of the week. Trip to Hampden will bring the best out in our players competing for a place in the semi/final team. Also something to look forward to for thr long suffering fans.
-
I hope Killie lose every game they play on that pitch.
-
So the battle of the ex Motherwell managers / players goes to extra time! Not sure who I would prefer to win. Given any semi final would be at Hampden, Im not sure it matters. One thing is for sure though, I wouldnt swap JBA for either of our former gaffers!
-
Cup win. No question. We cant win the League, but we have a chance in the cup. Also getting to Hampden is always a good day out.
-
Think I agree. Long way to go in the league. Getting in the semi should bring in some extra money also.
-
Cup We can make up the points in the league
