Another forward would be welcome, especially one that's done well in our league before,a defender and midfielder should be the priority though but it sounds like the manager wants cook plus another two so hopefully that's the two positions he's looking to strengthen.
-
If we can get any of our wide plalyers to get to the by-line and put in a ball like that, there's every chance....
-
I wouldnt necessarily see him as an out and out winger though. More of a wide forward. We are currently struggling to score goals. If CRC can bring his Ross County form to the party, we should certainly be interested in him.
-
I am not convinced we need another winger at moment. I would rather we got defenders in first and another midfielder. He was certainly a good player with county though

Hope Stama can do this against Hearts

I totally forgot about Balmer, if he doesn't start then he is well out of favour

50 years is a lan time.

No that was Michael Jackson

Even if Motherwell did not agree a deal with Sturm Graz we are due something if he switches countries. Because we coached him from 12 to 19. Applies to every cross border move he makes from now on regardless of age. It does not add up to much though. Although it would do me! 5% of transfer fee is deducted and split between those parent clubs that coached a player age 12 to age 21. So for £2m.... (£1.4m and £1.6m turned down previously but guess now SG out of Champions League they are needing to sell).....seven ninths (years coached) of £100k (5%) = just under £78k. However if that 15% is accurate as having been agreed then if fee is £2m we are due £300k. Everything I read at the time said MJ left us as out of contract with no deal agreed. But Motherwell are good at keeping things confidential so fingers crossed.
-
And don't forget that Robert Palmer classic......"might as well face it you're a dick with a glove" 🤪🤪
-
The reported £250K fee suggests he was meant to be ‘top level’ for us. It’s all relative. See above. I didn’t say it wasn’t healthy. I meant that it shouldn’t take that to push our expensive signing, by our standards, to prove his worth in goals.
-
I think we're fine at full back. Balmer probably needs to move on for the sake of both parties and free up a place.
-
I think we are probably fine as we are. But we ecould defo do with moving Balmer on for a ball playing version. Having someone on the bench the manager doesnt fancy isnt a strong place ro be.
-
Next you will be telling me the lyrics to Dignity are "Sail her up, sail her up, sail her up, sail her up, sail her up" 🤪🤪🤪
-
So it is! Ive mistakenly been calling it ying and yang for 50 years! 😆😆😆
-
I just don't see it mate Cbs we have Gordon, Mcginn, Balmer, Mcghee with SOD who can also play there Rbs - JK, Sparrow, SOD Lbs - Longelo, Wilson unless you move on 1/2 there's no way we sign anymore.
-
*yin. Agree about a cameo for McGhee. Much as I'd like to see him start, we don't want to injure him by doing too much too soon.
-
Thats not how some human beings work though, is it? Competition for places is healthy. I know that you know that!
-
Re Saturday, I think Id like to see McGhee at RB rather than SOD or McGinn. Better to change one position than 2. Unless of course Gordon is fit to start then maybe SOD to RB with McGhee making a cameo late on. Hard to know what to do for the best, but keeping McGinn in the centre is a must. Re MJC he is the ying to my yang. Long may he continue to be our Profit of Doom! We're gonna win the league! 😆😆😆

Totally agree if Balmer isn't fancied get him out and get a couple in to fit playing style the boss wants also someone with a bit more height in the central of defence.
-
Still think we're light in central defence. Ideally I'd like to see 2 new defenders arrive.
-
I suppose that the exact wording of such matters can vary between deals.
