  1. Past hour
  2. Wimmer didn’t get pelters and he still buggered off.
  3. Well you know how his feelings/ predictions generally go , so can be dismissed
  4. Today
  5. It's irrelevant who we get, one from the usual failed managers list who will get pelters on here 30 secs after it's announced or an unknown random who will get the same because they don't know the Scottish game etc etc. Its the steelmen online way .
  6. I’ve got a feeling that it’ll either be Neilson or a Wimmeresque random. I also think that the latter will be hard to find, so we may just plump for the ‘safer’ option this time.
  7. Credit to the Board that the media, yet again, has no clue who we're even talking to. The bookies must love it when we have a vacancy, because they never need to pay out.
  8. If the main / sole target was one of the "Old Boys Managerial Club" such as Docherty, Naismith, Neilson etc. I think we'd have heard something by now. That said, indications are that this isn't the route we'd be going down.
  9. They said the process was going to be the same as last time, and we didn't know anything until the manager was announced, so it will be the same this time around. Last time took 3 weeks, I assume it will be similar this time. The papers are too busy with Rangers to do any digging on us, and it seems that the leaky ones are no longer at the club. There has been absolutely nothing to suggest any candidate is in the running, internal or external, just MJC trying to make Richard Foster happen for some reason.
  10. Don’t know. But I have a feeling conversations will have been had with Richard Foster about taking the job…
  11. Does anyone know if we have even held interviews yet?
  12. My boyhood hero. Was heartbroken when he signed for Liverpool - a second division team at that time.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Mika Biereth and Brodie Spencer facing off in the Denmark v N.Ireland game...... Edit: which just made me re-assess my flights to Copenhagen in September!
  15. Played schools football with him and then watched him through the Ancell years. It's a good month to be 87.
  16. I'm not sure Antonio Conte has been so successful by overrating players; even Billy Gilmour (who made 26 league appearances for him on the way to the league title).
  17. There was nothing to be gained last night by playing the likes of mcginn and gilmour,we all know what they can offer.its a friendly at home to Iceland and the manager doesn't have the balls to move away from a team selection that's hardly won a game in about 2 years.hes a safety first manager that's only legacy will be finding eligible forwards that all turn out to be shite.if we have any ambitions of qualifying for the next tournament then he can't be in charge,he's a dinosaur that doesn't even have a plan a.no wonder the game in this country is a laughing stock and won't ever get above the mediocre with clarke and carver in charge and then you see the likes of Pressley and kettlewell getting jobs.
  18. He knows what wee callum is going through 🤣
  19. Gilmour has had a lot going on in his personal life and he said it affected his game - he had a stalker that was stalking him after he moved to Italy and another footballer was stalked as well.
  20. Sorry but cant agree with that. Scotland were shite last night, but Gilmour was one of the few actually trying to effect the game and play forward passes. If McTominay, McGinn and Ferguson had been anywhere near his level we wouldnt have ended up in the shit we found ourselves. You dont get Antonio Conte signing you unless you have something about you and his lack of game time was down to the fact Napoli have Lobotka who is an outstanding player. Thought Lennon did very well when he came on and didnt look out of place at all. The experience would have done him the world of good. Be nice if he got a start on Monday but I dont really see it happening. Re Ferguson, for someone playing at such a high level, Ive yet to see evidence of it in a Scotland shirt. Although, Im not really sure what he is being asked to do by Clarke? The game largely passed him by last night and he rarely showed for the ball. Very strange. Thought Max did well enough in the circumstances. Hopefully he and Lennon will get better chances to shine going forward.
  21. Not sure he would get the time to build at Motherwell. He only wins trophies in his second season!
  22. I think Gilmour is vastly over rated. Miller came on and made more passes in forward areas. He's been mainly sub at Napoli. Lightweight and doesn't offer much goin forward. Ferguson not much better.
  23. Totally agree with that, he needs to go now.
  24. Clarke initially did the job that was needing done. He took an omnishambles of a national team and consolidated it into one that was difficult to beat and, most importantly, one that the players wanted to be involved with. And I give him credit for that. He did well to get us to the first Euros, but his tactics were an embarrassment in that tourney. The second Euros were even worse, because not only had he not learned anything, but he actually went backwards. That was when he should have been moved on. Friendlies and injuries aside, the national squad actually has some decent players available now. There were EPL, Champions League, Seria A, Coppa Italia and Austrian Bundesliga winners on the pitch last night that should have been able to play some football. We are crying out for a manager with a bit more creativity and tactical nous, otherwise we are destined to be one of the few teams who fails to quailfy for the new 322 country World Cup finals.
  25. What do you want to talk about then? Would you rather Clarke?........or Fleetwod Mac ?🤪🤪🤪 Sorry.....cannae help myself
