Ross was physically sick (2) just in front of me in POd on Saturday so not injured
-
Its Owen Coyle jnr. Seems he looks after player loans.
-
The headers section was what got me. Yep, those were headers 😄 He might turn out just fine, or amazing, but that video just needed to be 2 mins.

Fair comment. But for me another quality CB gives us scope for SODs McGinn and McGhee to cover injuries and rotation elsewhere. Once this window slams shut we need the squad depth to cover all eventualities. Doubts already exist as to when Watt will return and I believe Ross picked up an injury on Saturday. We are just not going to go injury free during the second half of the season. I agree other positions require more urgent attention but I am greedy.

Tawanda Maswanhise named among the Most Promising Talents at AFCON 2025! we can just add an extra £2m at the end of the season for this. Thank you AFCON
-
Reading the announcement I also learned that Owen Coyle is working at Nottingham Forest.
-
If Welsh comes back fine if not we still have SODs McGinn Gordon and McGee so why do we need to sign another centre half
-
That's definitely best for all parties, good luck to the lad.
-
Osong's gone back to Nottingham Forest.
-
I trust Jens to make the right call, but I wasn't joking about his show reel. Two and a half minutes of him scoring, and 15 minutes of him not scoring. A little strange for a striker. Also, if you watch the section on "Shooting" it's not overly impressive. If he can stick the ball in the back of the net for us, then that's all that matters.

New Century Bar does not bad mobbed most match days but also gets a turn with live music. I’d say that’s one.
-
Good guy, bad defender. Hope it works out for him back at Sligo.
-
A name of a player and club that Sends shivers down the spine. What a horrible flashback. good luck to him, he always gave his all.
-
Shane Blaney joins Sligo Rovers again on loan from Livi.
-
McCann’s plastic carpet cloggers aren’t getting anything from Fir Park.

International signings take time. It was rumored a few weeks ago, which makes the timeline seem longer that it is, but all we actually know is that he was at the game on Saturday, everything else has been rumour and paper talk. On top of that, there's always the slight chance that our due diligence, such as the medical, flags something up. I'm not convinced hes that good either, but time will tell.
-
Hopefully the recent cases remain true then the next 3 games are against the sides at the bottom it's a great chance to build momentum heading into the cup game and if we manage to pick up 9 points we'd be well on our way to a European tour come July/August time.

Keep Looking for confirmation on the striker but not yet. all very quiet but that’s ok. I think JBA is pleased with the squad he has and any additions will be a strengthening of the squad and not like previous years where we get bodies in the door but no better than what we had. From a financial perspective it would be good to move players on that are not in JBA’s plans but easier said than done.

Our history against teams in that sort of form is that we usually beat them. No doubt the times we don't will stick in your mind, but if you want a recent example of playing a team in that sort of form you only need to look as far back as the last time we played (and beat them). See also Livingston and St Mirren.

Ive got to the stage I dont particularly care or worry about who we are playing. If we play well and up to the same high standards we have set all season Im pretty confident we will get a positive result. The fact the game is at home and against a team struggling at the wrong end of the league means we should definitely be targetting 3 points here. Depending on fitness / availability Id probably play without a striker again as it causes opposing teams all so rts of problems due to our movement. A wee cameo for the big Viking off the bench will do fine..... Ward Johnny SOD McGinn Longelo Slattery Priestman Fadinger Maswanhise Just Said

Playing a team that's not won in 16 i'm slightly concerned given our history against teams in that sort of form. Team for me would be Ward (Where was he Sat anyone know) SOD Mcginn Gordon Longelo Fadinger Preistman Maswanhise Slattery Just Bjorgolfsson (If he's signed in time if not Stama) I suspect this will be similar to the Ross County game where we're trying to break down a low block for the majority of the game. They've got some better players than Ross County so it will be a tough game. Hopefully we get the win and start to build some more momentum going into a busy and season defining February.

numpty started following Motherwell v Kilmarnock 24/01/2026

This is where all the focus has to be, on this game. Not on cup dreams or transfer speculation. Going into the third round of fixtures and most seasons we have at least one round of fixtures where we struggle. 2 good rounds already so we need to play even better to have a good third round and hopefully keep us well in contention for top 4 spot. two teams above us play each other (Hearts v Celtic) and two teams below us play each other (Falkirk v Hibs) so if we take care of our business it could be a great day for us.
-
He also, more importantly can't play in any cup ties. Imagine we ended up with the h**s or St Mirren in a cup final and we had to change our defence just for that. I'm not saying I wouldn't welcome him back cause I absolutely would, but that 72 min appearance for Celtic has diminished his value to us and any deal to take him back would need to reflect that.
-
Definitely agree with your statement about trying to sign a permanent CB. We should be trying for both, plus if there is a reasonable way to get Welsh permanent I’d be all for that as well.
-
As I said above I'm fine with him coming back he's been really good for us I just think given the fact we won't get him permanent and he can't play in the cup surely we try and sign a CB that will be our player permanently and be here next season.
