I only ask because Falkirk wore their "Blackburn" style strip that day. He was the most elegant player we had in the late 50s and early 60s and an internationalist. When I was a shaver, I always looked for him and Charlie Aitken to do something special when we were in trouble. I met Willie (Billy to his family) quite recently in the John Lewis restaurant with his charming wife and he was still sharp as a tack. He works with a dementia group, visiting sufferers, and writes poetry for children.
