  1. If we have exhausted all other avenues to bring in a winger, or don't have one coming through the youth ranks, I wouldn't be against hastie coming back on loan. I don't like the idea of developing a rangers player either, but its an area we need to strengthen and hastie will do that, plus its a low risk move for both parties in that he knows a lot of the players, management and backroom staff... Rangers are always going to have good players regardless, and if its not us developing him it'll be someone else anyway.

  2. Which young player would you like us to start wide on the right?

  3. Anyone in a neighbourhood WhatsApp chat is a complete ghoul. The club should help Jake move somewhere less bigoted than Larkhall.

  4. As promised. I produced a sponsored and unsponsored version. I suspect these days this would become an away, or special third shirt. It would be a tasteful and modern homage to our original C&A shirt roots.

  5. Exactly. We were all young once. I remember playing my newly purchased Iron Maiden vinyl album quite loud when I was a teenager and never thought anything about it. I was mortified, and apologetic when my middle aged neighbours chapped our door to ask me to turn it down a bit. After that I bought some headphones and if I did have people round for a party I kept any noise to a minimum. I still enjoy loud music, but in the right context eg: at a concert or festival. My daughter has autism and a side effect of her disability is that she has very sensitive hearing. Any loud noise is unbearable to her. My knuckle dragging ned neighbours didn’t care and would turn the volume up if approached. I basically had to call the police on a regular basis. Happily they sold up and our new neighbours are much better.

  7. I just cant understand the mentality that thinks its acceptable to let rip with noise and fuck everyone else around you until 1 / 2 / 3 am People know when they are noisy. I have a young neighbour and he occasionally knocks the door and says he is having a party and if the noise gets too much just to knock the door. The fact he makes that simple gesture and he doesn't party every weekend I wouldn't knock his door even when it has on occasion got a bit loud. Everyone is entitled to a blow out now and then and if they remain considerate to others and its not regular most folk will live with it

  9. Contracted to 2022. It's a loan we are looking at so will be interesting to see what happens there with the admin news.

  11. To be fair, you don't really need to understand lockdown guidelines to know whether you're being an arsehole of a neighbour.

  14. If there was a hierarchy of loan players being accepted by fans, he must be near the bottom: Other league (fine) > Other non-OF SPFL club (ach, go on then) > OF player (I'd rather not) > Ex-well OF Player (Hmmmm, nah) > Ex-well player who spent 10 years in our youth setup, refused a contract extension and jumped for nothing more than the development fee (fuck right off) > Ex-well player who spent 10 years in our youth setup, refused a contract extension and jumped for nothing more than the development fee and called us all smelly bastards on the way out (apocalypse) For the record, he's second bottom. It's not quite Paul Slane being offered back on loan, but I can see why it's hard to take.

  15. Lots of folk on here earlier bemoaning the lack of decent wingers available, and At the same time highlighting that as an area we need to strengthen as a matter of urgency. Now one might be available and some of those folk are questioning whether he should be given a chance. Hastie was sensational when he was brought into our side and was hugely responsible for rescuing our season. So sensational that he got a a financially life changing offer, which no young footballer in their right mind could turn down. Even if it has not worked out as he hoped, he will still have the same natural qualities he always had and a downturn in his playing time might just have given him the extra determination to get back to his earlier level of performance. Robinson clearly thinks Hastie will improve our squad otherwise he would not consider bringing him back. And he must also think attitude is not an issue. A hungry young player looking to get back on track and prove his doubters wrong. Exactly what we thrive on. I firmly believe it is a punt worth taking as long as the terms from Rangers are not ridiculous.......wage contribution, playing time requirement, release clauses. It is annoying that League rules would prevent him playing against his parent Club but that still leaves over 30 games in which he can contribute. Like any other signing...permanent or loan....it is a leap of faith. But is it any greater a risk than signing a relative unknown on a two year permanent contract? And if he does well Rangers possibly sell him on and we get a nice wee bonus. It could well be a great bit of business for both clubs and the player.

  16. Never ceases to amaze me the logic of footballers, just because training is back, doesn't mean the pandemic is over. Anyway hopefully in 6 months its Done and so is Dunne, as a club we are to benevolent to injured players, he should be away.

  18. Yeah, I'd rather have Aryibi or Aaorons but i assume those aren't options. Sane with Murphy. If he comes in and does a job for us for a season then ideal. Itd be the same result as if he'd signed a one year extension at the end of his current deal then went to Rangers. I'd be more excited by a gamble on a player I dont know but happy enough to have him back in. He's got to start well though or he could find himself the boo boys victim in a big way. Also I've got a wee hope that Seedorf will show more this season. Hes had a full year to settle in, hes another year older so more composed and disciplined etc. So I'm holding out a hope that he will contribute more next season.
