  1. I only stay in Partick and didn't go due to lack of public transport. Makes a mockery of having a seaon ticket. Summer fitba is the answer.
  2. Fairly simple answer for me. If we don't have 2 natural wingers in the squad then dont play with wingers. We can play a system that reflects the players rather than trying to fit players into a system. Its kinda obvious the players dont like playing out of position. Its why our performances have been poor so far this season.
  3. Aberdeen were great so no complaints. I've said this before and I'll say it again. James McFadden is not and never will be a winger. We will never get the best out of him when he's stuck out isolated on the wing. Get him up front.
  4. @SD Jim Gannon surely
  5. I've said it before and I'll say it again - it's time to take the leash of off Faddy. He is not a winger and never has been IMHO. He's our best player who can create something from nothing, so get him either just off the striker or part of a centre midfield 3. It was no surprise that our best spell was when he was drifting inside. Still - not a terrible result, they beat us because they have better players, so onwards and upwards for the weekend.
  6. @geedub - I've had that daft tune stuck in my head all day! Cannae be happy!
  7. Re Faddy - 5 goals in 8 starts and that's out wide. I know Stuart McCall loves the 4-4-1-1 formation we play and it served us well but .... Imagine the damage a front three of Higgy up front and Faddy and Ojamma just off of him would have done!! Get him signed up.
  8. You're mental mate. I for one hope I never cross you, I mean what might happen? Ooft.
  9. @Texanwellfan ... Ohhhh, vacation day, get you It's time to let Faddy off the leash and give him a free role. -----------------------------Randy------------------------------- ---Ramsden ----Hutch ----Cummins-----Hammy----- -----------------------------Las----------------------------------- -------------Hateley----------------------Law------------------ --------------------Faddy------------OJ-------------------------- -------------------------------Higgy------------------------------- With this team and formation, we'll win 12-0 and Faddy will score at least 7.
  10. The £600k loss dones't worry me at all. I'd be much more interested to see what the Balance Sheet says before making any judgement on the numbers. ETA - nothing on companies house yet for FY 11/12.
  11. While I'm no fan of the proposed structure, this thread proves one thing - no one can think of solution that everyone agrees on.
  12. Very much agree with what Well Well had to say earlier in the thread. Let's try and keep a level head and see what the club has to say. For me, this crystalises the Society's involvement in decision making at the club - in this instance and beyond - and I think a few of you are in for a surprise if you think that the club is going to consult the fans every time an important decision has to be made. We have a chief executive and a board of directors who are handsomely paid to do that. While I agree that it's great that the club will eventually be owned by us the fans, we really need to get away from this decision making by committee mentality. It's unrealistic, niave, simply won't work and thankfully won't happen. The board have done a good job for us the fans; and we should be enabling them to do their job properly not questioning every move / statement they make.
  13. Work nights are no good ... this will be yet another game that I can't make. Feck Friday Fitba indeed.
  14. Great game, we should line up 3-2-5 every game!! Oh and massive respect to the Killie fans.
  15. Amazing 3 comeback with 25 mins to go against a team on the same points = 5 pages. Defeat at St Midden = 6 pages and growing Home defeat to Aberdeen in the cup = 8 pages. Hmmmm...

  17. @BurnBroomfield - I've heard this rumour too. Apparently they just don't get along, nothing to do with ability. Also heard rumours about his injuries too. Incidentally, while a decent squad player, I can't say we've missed him any time he's been injured. Hateley>Saunders IMO.

@bogsideloyal - totally fell for that, well played sir!!
  19. Couple of things on the game:- We actually played well until the third goal. None of the penalties given were penalties. Couple of players appear to be saving good performances for TV games - Ojamma especially. Can't understand why people were suprised Ojamma was subbed; nearly 20 games without a goal now, and doesn't look like scoring anytime soon. We stand off teams too easily. Our best shape is 4-2-3-1. Couple of things on what other punters have posted on here:- Jamie Murphy is not a striker and never will be. He's too lightweight. Best for club and player if he leaves and soon. We need a centre half and a centre mid - we miss Craigan more than Jennings. Stuart McCall can only piss with the dick he has. His signings have generally been good. That said, it is regretable that we haven't signed a couple of defensive minded players. Couple of things on the officials:- I hope the club grow a pair and formally complain about O'Reilly. He shouldn't be allowed near Fir Park again. I wonder if anyone had a bet on 3 pens in the game. I wonder if anyone had a bet on the ref being "injured".
  20. Went to my aunt's house after the game who stays 6 streets down from the stadium. Power was on .....
  21. I'm sorry .... did someone say that Jim Gannon is the best manager we've had in ten years? I did read that correctly? I assume said poster(s) weren't there when we got humped 6-1 at Ipox - a scoreline that flattered us that day. Holy feck. Gannon - good eye for a player, terrible (& alledged corrupt) manager.
  22. A bizarre statement. The "let's be friends" point will not fool anyone. It would be more of a statement if one of the board members sat in the away end and listened to the vitriol that we need to put up with every time we go there or Smackhead.
  23. I think it proves what a long way we've come in 10 years to be disappointed to come away from Shittodrie with only a point!! However ... We haven't kept a clean sheet since the opening day and I feel that we haven't replaced Jenno or Craggs. As a result, we're shipping some really soft goals. Physically big teams bully us. I know he's past his best but I fear Bellshill's finest giving our defence a bit of a doing in midweek.
  24. Kick off time is a killer for me ... so I'm owt.
