  1. That’s just the fee with appearances. The sell on will be extra.
  2. I’m going to wait until we have some actual facts.
  3. No it’s a tough ask, but we are already overloaded up front.
  4. If he goes it may be worth investing some of the fee on a forward with a decent goal scoring record if the right player is available. It’s not going to take massive changes to turn things around in my view. If possible I would also probably look at sending Hastie back to Rangers if that frees up a bit of wages and see if we can get Seedorf/Hylton loaned out. On top of that the system needs looking at.
  5. Players move on at most clubs, always have and these days they move far quicker than ever before, all that matters is we get the right price for him. No club is bigger than one player and we managed fine without him last season. If it’s invested in the structure of the club we should benefit moving forward and with an added sell on clause receive another bonus in the next two to three years.
  6. End of the day he’s only worth what clubs are willing to pay and it looks like that 3 million is the ceiling. I think the figure is ok as long as we have something like a 20% sell on which should push it up to over 5 million as a minimum in the next two to three years. I think he’s well worth 5 million now but clearly other clubs don’t. We do however have a better win ratio without him than with him over the last six months.
  7. Not saying that’s not the case, but people on here hated the Robinson style of football, St Johnstone fans were the same with Wright.
  8. Personally I thought we were very good in the Aberdeen game and ran them ragged.
  9. I tend to simply look on a season by season basis myself, squads change and last season means nothing. The worry for me is that individual players are just about all going backwards and Robinson can’t just keep using inexperience as an excuse, most of our players, even the younger ones have plenty of game under their belts. As Kmcalpin points out above it’s got to be the formation and sadly now confidence draining away. We have had chances this season that have been missed but for the most part midfield has been poor and at times the strikers have just not had the service. I like OHara but I don’t like the role he’s playing this season, he’s a box to box player and simply been played too deep. The wide players are absolutely wasted and as much as I think White is a good alternative off the bench he’s not a first 11 player. I like Robinson and want to see him stay but he’s made a mess of the first five games, playing Turnbull out wide against Ross County was frankly ridiculous and set the pattern for a manager who seems unable to decide what his first 11 is. He’s been slightly unlucky with injuries and Donnally, Dunn, McGinn, and Carroll are missed but he stated this is the strongest squad he’s had and I would agree. We should certainly have more points but he needs to start by looking at the formation and realise it’s not working, teams have quickly sussed us out and are simply sitting back knowing we will give them a couple of chances. These are good players that look totally lost and the leadership needs to come from the top, at the moment I don’t feel that’s happening. And coming from me that’s probable as negative a post as I’ve ever posted on here.
  10. Yep I’ve pointed out something similar in the past. This theory that the signings from lower level have all been rubbish is simply not true. I remember when we signed Aldred from Bury and Carroll from Cambridge, both were rubbish by all accounts. As you say there have also been duds but name me a club running on a modest budget that only signs gems. Just getting rid of everyone is crazy talk.
  11. Hindsight is certainly a wonderful thing and without looking back through threads I think the majority on here thought we had more than enough up front. On paper we had goals, it’s just not panned out that way. I certainly did not expect Hastie to be as poor as he has been and Watt looked to be improving along with Long.
  12. And if the run continues he obviously will, every manager lives or dies by his record. I don’t however see that happening for a while yet. He’s got another half dozen games in my view before we start making a decision like that. Not any stand out replacements that I can see if he does go. You mention Tommy Wright but I’m personally no fan of his style of football, not exactly easy on the eyes, and as much as the football under Robinson was agricultural at times and least he changed to more of a passing game. If Robinson goes it’s odds on to be Lasley.
  13. He’s just said it’s his fault, he signed and picks the players.
  14. Oh we’ve had plenty, in one game alone against Ross County Long hit the post, Lang missed a sitter with a header that looked easier to score and Donnally made a hash of a penalty.
  15. A midfield of Polworth, Donnally, Campbell, OHara is more than good enough on paper.
  16. We were the fourth leading scorers in the league last season, one goal behind third, regardless of who scores or how they score that’s an actual fact. Look I get that people are upset, so am I but Robinson did see us finish third last season, another fact. He’s not suddenly become clueless and the players have not suddenly become useless. We are dominating possession, making lots a chances and not exactly getting thrashed by teams. Lots of if’s and buts even a fraction of those shots goes in and we are comfortable mid-table or better. I don’t buy the argument that it was obvious to everyone bar Robinson that we were weak up front, many on here including me though we had more than enough quality, they have simply not performed. My worry was the defence and they have made poor decisions which have cost us points, but even then we are losing by just the odd goal because we can’t score. I’m personally not a fan of Mugabi but think other that that with Carroll back we have a back four and goalkeeper that have more than enough. I don’t like O’Hara playing so deep, does not work for me but even given that we again have more than enough quality in that area, I would get Polworth back in who does create chances for others. End of the day every manager is judged on results and it’s probably going to be 2 points from the first 18 which is going to leave Robinson under severe pressure, for me however he’s earned more time to turn it around.
  17. If he does not have a clue how did we finish third last season and get to two cup finals ? Maybe he’s just been lucky the last 3 years ? Now if you want to only look at the performances this season rather than his whole tenure that’s a different thing.
  18. It’s going to kick off on here tonight, Yodo will be doing cartwheels.
  19. The problem is I don’t think White was brought in as a starter, that was a fight between Long and Watt and clearly neither are impressing although the service from midfield has been very poor at times. A front three of Lang, Hastie, and Watt or Long had great potential and it’s simply not panned out that way. I worry that Watt is just repeating the attitude shown at other clubs, starts off well, new contract and then goes backwards. Long just looks like a player that reluctantly signed a new contract when he really wanted to be back down south. As I say looking at last season adding another back up central striker plus Lang and Hastie should be working, we all more or less thought it would but it’s simply not happening.
  20. I guess should the club not be able to afford to move they will have no choice but to redevelop Fir Park in some way, it’s simple one or the other with for me a new main stand with better supporter/Corporate facilities the priority.
  21. It really is going to be about finally putting away our chances. On our own pitch we really should yet again have most of the possession, we just need to show more confidence in the final third.
  22. The Falkirk stadium is very decent with probably the best new build main stand in Scotland, just needs a forth stand.
