I don't agree. We made an offer and other clubs offered more and he's made his choice and that's it.

I don't think it's been his choice though,is it not a loan deal, therefore it's down to groningen to accept the best for them

  2. Most on here can't see the bigger picture with vale, stats show games played, goals scored and assists,...how many chances did he have before he got his goals, how many assists has he been involved in that his team mates couldn't convert, what's his pace like, what's his link up play like, what's his movement like in the box, unbelievable that a player can be sussed out after only starting 5 games for a very average league one side by what they read on a website

Well that was as brilliant as it was unexpected.

It has to be said that SK’s league record since taking over is absolutely ridiculous. Two defeats and unbeaten away and despite having a threadbare squad here we are going into the international break joint top of the league. Incredible stuff.

Great timing for the break, get them rested and the niggles cleared up,back with a nearly full squad

  4. Seen a lot of Barcelona videos on tiktok recently the pass for slats was like watching iniesta, some of our passing moves have been superb, cutting them open on the righthand side, should be doing better with the final pass, slats is really on it today again, outrageous attempt from his own half, more of the same please

It's questionable signing a striker who hasn't scored goals at the age of 23.  He's not a boy who's just starting out. He's played in the same league, irrespective of how poor a team is etc generally strikers know how to score goals.

It's rare for us to bring in someone with such a poor tally - Ojamma is the only other I can think of in recent memory.

As a few people have mentioned it raises an eyebrow. Of course we want him to do well and prove to be a success. To me seems a very odd signing.

Appreciate no one should be bashing players on twitter etc but surprised at the amount of backlash raising an eyebrow has had on this forum.

Jordan white knows how to score, just didn't know how too when he played with us

All about opinions but I found it strange folk getting excited about a guy on trial from Beith yet an experienced Scottish international is viewed as a negative.

Now this might sound bizarre but Fletcher and Shields could be a good combination as Fletcher's experience could help Shields especially if Shields played as an actual striker. However 10 mins into his next well game and no doubt Shields will start getting pelters again, hardly going to help the lads confidence

I don't think it's bizarre,it could work with our new formation

  7. On yesterday's performance the hoof ball tactic has gone,Sean Goss as quarterback had options all over the park,no one is hiding behind players anymore, everyone is want in on it, no pass forward, fine,I'll give it to my back 3 and we try again,I've not seen a performance like that for years, and I think that is all down to the formation and maybe a bit of belief and confidence that must surely all come down to kettlewell and long may it continue

I don't want to harp back to the past  but I can't help wondering what might have been if we'd changed managers another month or so earlier. All water under the bridge now. Just grateful that SK has really turned things around. I know that we've brought in some decent additions but I think the original squad wasn't as bad as some thought. A decent performance today.

Your right, the squad we had wasn't that bad,but 2 managers thought 4-3-3 would work with the personnel we had,how wrong were they

Great result, two great free kicks and a penalty that just squeezed in. Everyone played well, thought Spittal was class until he went off but maybe Furlong for MotM. - definitely a red for Marshal.

Just watching it on alba, from a certain angle marshall nailed him and he knew what he was doing

Nice for slats to mention he can take free kicks. Did no one ask him until now? 🙂

Have no complaints at getting a point out of that, will gladly take the same next week too.

    That pitch is an abomination.

He does strike the ball nice, but his confidence "was"shot, looks more like he wants to be involved in this rollercoaster ride and if he gets back to where he once was he gets into our midfield no problem

Looking at the highlights tonight, I think Spittal's goal is the first time I've ever seen the tactic of loading up the left side and hitting it long from the kick-off actually work.

More direct, cos it normally goes straight out for a throw in 😂

  12. Just sat and watched the highlights, first chance I've seen any of the game, are the guys that were moaning about obika on Wednesday any happier today,he looked excellent,as for Sean Goss,he's always been capable of running a game like this but only if he's played correctly,I can't believe our 2 previous managers have missed a trick and ultimately it's been there downfall

    Onwards and upwards

Sorry don't agree they were blowing with 20 to go against St Midden

Off course they were, did you see the effort they put in,I've also written in a previous post"it's a 16 man team now"I'd rather see the players burst a gut for an hour rather than float about for 90 minutes,we have adequate subs now

  14. Garbage, how is it we looked fitter and stronger when we played a 3-5-2 against st midden, the 4-3-3 was killing our midfield, the opponents would beat a lack lustre press with one pass into midfield then out number our 3,spittal covered the area behind the front two, deano looked to be covering the area behind the midfield all weak points that teams could get at,I for one will not question there fitness levels,it's been the shape/formation that's pissed me off for last 2 years

Booing a player of either team in most cases isn't right (exceptions being diving and inciting fans) but it maybe says more about the fan than the player. I don't mean that in a bad way. Many go to games as a release or an escape from everyday pressures. Its a way of letting off steam as is cheering or shouting. Not saying its right but thats the way it is for some.

    Or if you're Dougie imrie
