They did put in more effort than usual, and that is why the midfield started to fall off a cliff after about 70 mins. You have to wonder what the fuck they were doing in their previous training regime?!
I think the fitness is ok,max.j was up and down the line all night,KVV clearly carrying a niggle didn't want to go off, spittal done great work backing up the front two and filling in in midfield, deano although not flashy he's probably went unnoticed for his work rate, the game has turned into a 16 man team,go out and burst a gut for an hour, don't be saving yourself to see out 90+ minutes, play hard for the time you're on the park there's now decent competition off the bench for various places, same commitment on Sunday guys,if we get beat then so be it at least you can look round the dressing room at each other and say we gave it our all
-
What a difference when you have 3,4,5 MOTM options compared to previous weeks when you have no one to pick from, max j was excellent and what a strike,KVV had his best game in a long time and looked like he played through a lot of pain, but for me it was spittal, his work rate set the tone for the rest of the team

OwWell how good was that tonight? Miles better certainly from effort perspective but frustrating that effort wasn't their in previous games, anyway moving on.
Goss Spittal and KVV miles better for effort with Spittal excellent. Butcher and Casey look really good no nonsense signings and young furlong came onto a game. Johnson and Cornelius loads of effort. Obika for a big man doesn't jump well but good on the ground. Loved Kelly doing his Allan McGregor impression and time wasting.
My one negative was the booing when SOD came on. Jeez get a grip, I know he hasn't been playing well but are we at the stage where we boo guys wearing our own jersey!! Come on.
And I hope buddies are paying Watt's full wage, jeez a shadow of the player that played for us
Exactly how I saw it,but seems others on here can't see the woods for the trees

Best I’ve seen Big Kev play for a while, midfield still let back line down, would be good to get butcher in midfield as he talks and controls game well, Obika is pish, offered zero, can’t jump doesn’t run to press, and for a big guy can’t even hold up the ball, but Spittal man of the match, must have been at a different game from me, as all he done is put balls out for a throw in.
U must've been at a different game from me,,spittal WAS my man of the match, obika done ok,he helped lighten the load that was put on KVV and maybe that is why we saw him back to some sort of form

Not sure about Furlong at left full back. Cornelius struggling. Noticeably much more effort from KVV. Carson didn’t look too good at either of our goals.
COYW. Need to make and convert more chances.I thought that with furlong in 1st half, but done well enough 2nd half
-
They didn't expect the 3-5-2 from us..looks like they've matched us up now and are right back in the game, front 2 seem to be working, spittal making good runs from the middle,3 centre half's are doing ok,win the ball, clear the ball, what a difference a different shape makes to a team

What? Obviously not. If it’s two wing backs I’d imagine McGinn is out left.
Has anyone got a link?
We have furlong LWB

Is it a 3-5-2 with McGinn and Johnson as wing backs?
Would rather see a front 3 of McKinstry KVV and Crankshaw.
Think we are gonna get beat now tbh.
2wingbacks playing on the same side?

Smart money on back 3
I'd say a 3,but it looks flexible to go with a 4,a partner for KVV finally, optimistic now after seeing the line up/formation

Just gor a notification from football Scotland,Lambert,Simo,Ross,Goodwin, coyle, lennon, kettlewell, they must just be picking names being discussed on the forum

Maybe Joe Efford is better than we all think? More likely, we were riding on the confidence of those first few games, and when things started to not go our way, our inexperienced coaching staff didn't know how to turn it around.
He's not better than what I think,I thought he was decent from a few games in,and was mocked for saying so,we've picked up 7 points without him, when he hit form he was a far better option than shields

did he not get a hard time from the fans when he left for dortmund grizzly ? or am a gettin mixed up
I heard an interview with him,he left on a bosman and went for a trial with PSV before joining Dortmund, it might've been a case that we got no money for him but I never held a grudge against him,I'd have him back in a heartbeat

No idea but I’d hope the Board have been sounding out possible replacements over recent weeks. Experience of man management and ability to coach the basics a must.
I think you're right, the fans knew this was inevitable, hammell was working game to game for weeks now, surely they would have a list drawn up already

What about John Hughes
It's the name that's always been in the mix,I wouldn't be against it

They better make the announcement within the hour..fucking disgrace

I'd love to hear if anyone still has any belief in Hammell turning this around - and if so, why.
A few guys were close with there predictions if it wasn't for a late pen, that says it all when predicting a 3-0 defeat,it's not just hammell, there is no belief in the team

Still a goal, tell me who else can score under this management???
I'm not disputing that m8,I'm just making an observation of how bad the whole team is when a pen is all we have to show for it

Ma big pal KVV scores against Aberdeen again, but surely to late to save the board or Hammell doing the decent thing?????, only time will tell.
It takes a pen to get a shot on target, that must be about 4 shots in the last 5 games

Aye Stevie, the players are right behind you. Horrible to see as the guy is a well legend but enough is enough.
He may have the team behind him but the fans aren't,if he's still in charge at the next home game there will be bedlam at the main door

Ooh dear

I've never seen a player caught in possession as much as Slattery.
He's got another year but hopefully he doesn't fancy the Championship and fucks off.
Maybe he was looking for a foul
