As much as he's a dick I think it was a soft red...we were due a bad decision as we've had some against us
-
Promising start but we need t protect the ball better... Slattery and KVV guilty of giving it away cheaply
-
Just caught the highlights..ffs we were denied a pen against hibs at 0-0 without VAR...it's now in place and we are still denied a stonewaller, both these games have been close and the decisions have affected the result, typical standard of our officials

Watched highlights and taking nothing away from Sellik as there is no denying they are an excellent side but what I can't accept are the cheap goals we keep conceding.
1) Shields not tracking the run of Taylor, his tracking back is as good as his ability to cross a ball!!
2) good finish from Abada but bizarre punch from Kelly for 1st save, but Kelly keeps us in games almost every week so odd mistake will happen
3) good skill by Hatate but Lamies attempt at tackling him shocking but again another player who has been playing well most weeks
4) words fail me so not even worth discussing
All preventable goals
1)yes you could point the finger at shields but the 3 attempted clearances from Goss mckinstrey and mcginn all very poor
2)the save was ok from Kelly, was a bit of pace and movement but it's fell into the middle of 5 of our players and landed at the feet of one of only 2 of theirs
3)same as your comment
4)mcginn loses it,Goss and lamie leave it to each other, just so many what ifs, bottom line is we don't have the finances to compete, they ripped us a new one last night and will continue to do so for years to come

The majority of the squad have simply reverted back to what they were under Alexander. There was a small boost when Hammell came in. Too many of the squad just are not good enough and no matter how much coaching they get the ability isn't there. Last 5 league matches we have taken 3pts. That is a worse return over the past 5 games than any other team in the league. We now face Aberdeen (h). Dundee Utd (a) Hearts (a) and Celtic (h) Tough fixtures.
I have watched every one of Hammells post match interviews and he is totally out of his depth. A team sinking fast and he neither has the experience nor ability to halt it. All he ever says about the game in his interviews is that it was disappointing and we lost poor goals and at the wrong time, like there a right time to lose a goal. Rookie manager with rookie back room staff. Early days in his management career but alarm bells are ringing loudly.
Aberdeen,who we've beaten already
Utd ,who we should've beat but for poor finishing
Hearts, anyone who saw that game will know the 3-0 was a false scoreline
Celtic, that's going to be a free hit
Yes they are tough games but if we play like I know we can I don't see why we can't pick up 5,6,7 points

I think wot we have to take into consideration is not where we are at,but where they are at,they competed with real Madrid for an hour, they've humped utd, hibs and rangers
I was hopeful tonight as I always am no matter who we are playing,it's the manner of the defeat that frustrates me, we're 2 mins away from halftime 0-0,there has to be some sort of communication and game management to see that out
Onto the goals, jeez where do you start, the ball was there to be won in the build up to all of them,we are too powder puff in our challenges, too many of them not taking control and launching it out the park,I don't think we've replaced the leadership of Peter Hartley at the back
Saturday is our bread n butter, let's see a reaction

You have to do everything to make it as hard as possible when playing against better players and hope that you get a wee break but we do the complete opposite, far to easy yet again.
We got the break in first half,Kelly outstanding, mckinstrey having the freedom of fir park only t blaze the ball over,we always get a couple of chances against them, but yet again our downfall is failing to convert
-
Leaving it to each other..ffs get the boot through it and argue about it later
-
As bad as we've been we are lucky to still be in the tie, decision making upfront has cost us mckinstrey should have had 2 maybe even 3 if Goss had played him in,and then we have this muppet Sutton saying Celtic have been wasteful..
-
Terrible defending..so many chances to clear it

Why wouldnt we play the 2 guys in our team most likely to retain possession of the football?
The longer we have it, the less damage they can do with it.
Formation wise, Im up for whatever works and with Shields out it makes sense to find a way of getting KVV and Moult into the same starting 11. They are both big game players with lots of experience. I also think they would compliment one another as KVV likes to come short, hold the ball up and play knock ons, and Moult likes to play on the shoulder and run in behind.
For me its 4-2-3-1
Kelly
McGinn Sol Lamie Penney
Goss Slattery
Efford KVV Spittal
Moult
There is always room in behind their fullbacks which we should be looking to exploit.
I like the look of that, with only one slight change, switch effort and spittal..has anyone else noticed tavernier against pace he's either nursing an injury or he's done, get joe up against him

It's the first I've seen of the game,I've made comments on KVV and Joe on how pleased I was for them with there contribution, cos they have been getting a bit of stick on here, but mat Penney deserves a lot of credit he was superb last night

A win tonight was always going to be huge. To win 5-0 is the stuff of dreams! Someone said on here recently that some team was going to take an absolute drubbing off us and whoever that was had been proved right tonight.
We’re going to be just fine this season.
That would've been me,i thank you,ive also said joe may be a better player than given credit for,a goal an assist and draws the foul for the pen, huge confidence boost for him, result is a huge boost to the whole team,it now looks like we have options in midfield and up front,so the guys need to perform to stay in the team, roll on saturday

These stats mean nothing..this motherwell team under hammy have never played ross county,we are a totally different animal since he took over

In the 6 games Burton have played this season Moult has played a total of 65 minutes. On that basis he can’t possibly be match fit so it may be some time before we see him playing.
Agree he may not b "match sharp"but he should b fit enough to a degree, pre season and daily training sessions for past 2 months or so,i think we may see him on the bench on saturday having had a weeks training to bed in,he did look fit as a flea in the welcome video i saw, hoping t see him in the team soon

And Lee McCulloch and John Spencer too. Both ‘darlings’ of the support at the time but both missed more than they scored.
Didnt lee McCullouch have the nickname"jigsaw"cos he went to pieces in the box

Just echoing the comments of many others. Great to see Louis back but is he too injury prone? If on form, it will be interesting to see how he works with KVV. Unrealistic though to expect him to be the Louis of old.
Apart from being out for a few weeks suffering from vertigo earlier in the year it looks like he has made the burton squad on most occasions this calander year and the 6 games they have played this season,so i would take a guess that he's done a decent pre-season,so his fitness levels might b pretty good,he just happens to be in a shit team that create very little for there strikersi, think it'll be very different with us with the chances we've created and missed louis may be the very man to finish them off..heres hoping it all goes to plan

Don’t really believe in bringing players back but I hope this works for Louis and the club.
You mean like craigan, lasley, hammell, uncle phil, mcfadden and now moult..mmmm you seem to get shot down with most of your posts/comments on here,or maybe ive just took the bait

Just had a look back at tommy coyne. On wiki he was 31 when we got him..lacked a bit of pace, but he was deadly in the box and more often than not it was just knowing where to be that got him his goals,if anyone can remember his hatrick at Kilmarnock where he chipped the keeper from 25 yrds and look at the goal louis scored against THEM in the semi final lobbing the keeper from30 yards thats confidence and instinct both had/have,louis may have slowed a bit since we last had him but he wont have lost his know how and his eye for goal,..promising times ahead

If he's actually fit why is he on the bench? in a team that is bottom of League 1
Maybe hes in the wrong environment/manager doesnt fancy him, some players just dont fit, look at jordan white with us and ross county

My point exactly ..our fans between us are still disputing if it was or not with different opinions..who'd be a ref/VAR official
