  1. i agree with you both, thats why IMO Hateley will be a bigger loss than some on here give him credit for. I accept he had hit downfalls and didnt always set the heather on fire - but he was a more than competant SPL full back. Like Hateley, Rammers seems to play better in a position which its not meant to be his own
  2. Ramsden is a right back! we've been playing him "out of position"
  3. i'm not overly fussed about Higgy leaving - its probably a good thing. He owes everything he achieved last season to Law, Ojamma and Humphrey - who have all now left. What he achieved last season was outstanding and a GIRUY to all those who slated him, however, we would have been paying him alot of money because of those achievements - and he would've certainly struggled to hit those heights again even if the afore mentioned players had stayed on. hateley was a bit of an unsung hero - nearly an ever present over 4 years is not to be sniffed at. does make it strange that if we knew he was leaving, why did we release saunders? however, we must trust SMc and after his previous signings and performances on the park - i think he deserves that if true we are looking at McManus, then its nice to get a bit of experience in there - and hopefully that will help Hutchy progress even more. Looks like Ramsden will be moving to his natural position of RB this season - will be interesting to see how the boo boys react to that one
  4. im glad you aint running the club we'd be dead by the end of the season
  5. european football is not the lure some people think, it might be a nice wee bonus or a different experience - but lure - no way. Tim Clancy last season? the list goes on easily. money talks - look at Wanyama going to Southampton, it was only 6 months ago he was going to be playing for Barca, Man U, Inter etc i've heard snippets that may well be happening - fingers crossed. It appears our work is going on unnoticed in the background. which as long as something is going on, im happy for it to stay that way

    New Away Kit

the away top looks like the Xara training top we had - maybe 5yrs ago?
  7. when do our players have to report back for pre season?
  8. it would have been way too sensible to have them playing Dundee Utd or St J - are Killie playing Ross County or Inverness that day??? Hibs away - im disappointed with that start, but thinking about it not a surprise - both teams will probably be playing on the thursday night in europe, so makes sense to pair those teams against each other rather than inconvenience another 2 teams
  9. hahaha so true If Michael Higdon stays (which he wont IMO) then he wont get back to the level he got to this season (cos he wont, total one off - thats why its a post war record) - so by your logic, do you want Higdon to leave you want a phone call dont you?!?! or have you passed on those addidas shooting boots to Evan?
  10. we need to get off to a good start again - points on the board, so i'll take Caley at home
  11. i mentioned this ages ago as i thought he was a stick on to go to Ibrox - mixture of not being good enough to play at a higher level and them being able to pay big bucks a while back on sportsound, it was mentioned that Rangers could not sign him as they would need to pay a fee - therefore, need to wait until at least January before they can try and sign him - i havent heard or seen it mentioned anywhere other than this, but it is interesting as to whether or not we would be entitled to compensation thats the other thing about Hateley's interview - if it is indeed true, and we havent offered a contract - then we aren't entitled to compensation - why would we do that? and to the last point - they need to sell or release players over the age of 22 before they can sign any more I'd still like him to stay on - i like him as a RB and he's been very good for us - you dont play that many games under several managers and be shit!
  12. everyone said that last season too - they spent alot of money last season, everyone was predicting them to push celtic all the way it never happened something needs to change up there, they should definitely be better than what they are (although at the same time, im very happy if they continue to fail!!)
  13. and Zaliuskas (sp)........... shit paper, crap reporting, pander to the OF it wont change, OF stories sell papers ive not seen enough of Vigurs to fully comment, but from what some say on here seems to be way OTT - why is he so good? what makes him a player? he's scored a couple of good free kicks, strikes the ball well and doesnt look that mobile he seems to be County's Ross Forbes
  14. that page has been edited further............earlier on it mentioned and quoted the agent saying that rangers have not made any offer and whilst the lazy crap journos in this country continue to spout their shit to pander to the OF demand - Rangers CAN NOT sign any player over the age of 21 - they now have their full quota of 22 players over 21 and MUST sell or release before they sign anyone else are we due a development fee for Tom Hateley? anyway - back to us, i think we might see 1 or 2 names we know signing on to add some experience to the team, other than that, i feel it will be players, none of us expect or have heard of of Hateley and Higgy - do we know when their time is up to give us an answer? will it be monday when McCall is back from Croatia?? interesting times ahead
  15. its been mentioned often enough on here so i'd like to think its something that the club know about or have even considered if not, i'd be slightly disappointed matters not to me, as i'm going back to having a season ticket - however after their announcement the other day regarding how important season ticket sales are, i think an initiative such as this could sway some folk like yourself - and as i previously said, its money in the coffers up front which is what the club is looking for
  16. http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/tickets/MultiGameTickets/ this is definitely something we should look into with some of our games being moved to fridays, saturday lunchtimes, sundays - and people saying that it devalues season tickets - then the link above the way to go surely money upfront for some games is better than none at all???
  17. http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/doncaster-rovers-jordan-ball-shocked-by-rovers-exit-1-5734928 came across this when i was looking for info on the Donny game - young lad, sounds promising and seems to know where the goal is - being there from a young age, i guess he's not on a fortune and someone we could maybe look at? or do we think why bring in another young player when we have McHugh and Moore?
  18. Surely cummins and hutchy in re middle and rammers at rb? Or if Kerr signs on then him at Rb. I think he might be looking for some assurances that he'll get game time and that's why he ain't signed on.
  19. we still need to win - we might not be able to qualify, but the game is still very important, losing more games is going to ruin our co-efficient even more
  20. David Goodwillie anyone?? apparently blackburn want him out the door and away from the club for a while
  21. we signed anyone else yet?
  22. "Seeded teams Winners of match involving Rubin Kazan CC: 58.266 Winners of match involving Standard Liège CC: 45.880" Does that mean, hypothetically, that if Hibs (who are unseeded) played one of these teams and won...........mean that they are seeded for the next draw??
  23. cutting short his holiday??? he was due back tomorrow anyway
