  1. Still no sign of those teeth? That, and the guy having a shave at the match were right up there with the most bizarre things I've experienced!!
  2. Talking of "accurate" -I'm not sure your abuse of the young man's hat was accurate given your history with bus stops and that club And the Airdrie chap sends his regards.
  3. Same bet as Saturday?! Hopefully the Bois park themselves next to their rivals, seemed to work for the Valley Crew...

    Jim Gannon

No idea, I wasnt at the match I just recall the fact he played at right back.... And I've heard some excuses in my time!

    Jim Gannon

Not strictly correct - Gannon played Hutch regularly, but McGhee had already played Hutchinson at right back against Hamilton away.... But I think it's fair to say that Gannon gave him his chance, although McGhee spoke very highly about him so he probably would have got the chance anyway.
  6. Are the player issue names and numbers not larger than the ones you can order? I remember seeing a photo of 'Flow and Jim Hamilton both with number 16 tops on and the numbers were noticably different in size. One thing I've found strange this season is the white numbers on white shorts - you can barely notice them unless the player is relatively close!!
  7. From what I've heard it's a conscious decision to come back up to Scotland for family reasons as opposed to not having any offers down south... Also, Andy Goram was Motherwell captain when he was loaned out. And folks, don't worry so much about Faddy
  8. How many shite puns can you get into one post....
  9. A career ending injury also triggers - or at least it used to - a testimonial... Sure Colin O'Neill never served 10 years at Fir Park.
  10. I'd also argue that he didn't regularly play up front until McCall arrived - after that he had a decent run. Could be coincidence and that he was playing for a contract or move, but his best spell was definitely under McCall I think.
  11. Search Paddy McCourt on Twitter and you can read rumours that he's signing for half of the SPL - and even Rangers. They can't all be right!!
  12. The last player you labelled as such has just been voted PFA Player of The Year, broke goalscoring records at Fir Park and finished top SPL goalscorer.... On that basis I'd say get this lad signed up.
  13. He played in England though, so who knows what contacts he has from that time.... I don't see how anyone can definitively state that he has no knowledge of the English leagues, the same way that it's impossible to state that he has a wealth of knowledge of them!
  14. Jane Lewis tweeting that a new deal is expected to be announced for Simon Ramsden today....
  15. Was the "Skippy Sunday" top not technically the away top for the following season and was being worn for the first time that day? Or am I imagining that?!
  16. First team to play the league/cup winning team after the victory.... It's done in most leagues around the world, and again, it's for the players and not Lennon.
  17. The whole point of this is professional respect, something which Lennon hasn't shown any of, but I haven't seen any of the Celtic players moaning about it... The fans will no doubt be booing them onto the park anyway!
  18. Seemingly they announce a team of the year on the night, based on the votes accumulated for all of the players - presumably taking the top goalkeeper, back four etc. Neil Lennon is going to look extremely stupid if the team ends up consisting of 7 Celtic players and the 4 nominees...
  19. Malpas was pursuing him, Scott Leitch signed him before McGhee arrived....
  20. It seems to have been more down to a clash between Harkins and Shiels and not necessarily for footballing reasons... Anyway, Stuart McCall on Sportscene last night said that he could confirm that McFadden was now staying until the end of the season... surely he was doing that anyway?
  21. Jim Gannon gave an interview for the Hibs job which included him telling the directors all about the players they had in the squad already, in the reserves and in the youths. He then had a list of all the players he felt could improve the squad, with 3 options for each position. He then did the same with Motherwell. Like him or loathe him, the guy has an extensive knowledge of the players available at any time.
  22. I use an app called Photon which allows me to watch MFCTV on my iPad and iPhone... to be fair, I've never listened to commentary that way but there is a way to get the Flash required.

    Our Shape

I think your 2 points here are linked somewhat - it seems like a constant complaint behind me at Fir Park that when the ball falls to the opposition at the edge of our box that they have numbers in place to keep us hemmed in, or their midfield is in position to have a shot from the edge of the box. So, have we not just done that to the opposition this time?
  24. I seem to remember the majority of people on here were urging the club to vote against Rangers being admitted into the SPL and vowing that they'd accept any inconsistencies in form, and that the squad would likely be the same, only really being supplemented by youth. Where has that gone? Now, we're 3rd in the league at present and as far as I can recall have exited the cup twice to Aberdeen under McCall, and in the League Cup lost to Hibs and Rangers? Aberdeen and Hibs defeats are hardly indicative of a crisis... and Rangers, well I honestly think any SPL team would have lost that night. And his teams have won plenty of pressure games in his time. Home performances have been poor and can't be dismissed of course, but you can't dismiss the away performances either - both count towards the league placing. The difference for me? At home if a player makes a mistake the top of the east stand start a song to encourage him, but are very quickly drowned out by a plethora of folk desperate to tell the player how shite he is. After that, they are less inclined to take responsibility. Away from home... much less abuse and pressure, and they hear the support. It works both ways though, the players need to give the fans something to get them going but the fans need to keep behind the players. As for McCall going? Absolute nonsense. 3rd in the league on merit at present, and unless you can accurately predict the future you cannot possibly say with certainty that the only way is down like some are trying to.
  25. I'm sure it's 11.. The club issued an update last night which mentioned the Cooper. Edit: Yes, just read it... definitely says 11.
