  1. Do we know for a fact that McAllister showed no interest in the motherwell job? I was of the belief that he was in the running when “forever claret and amber” Stuart McCall got the gig? I can’t say that I can get excited about him going to Rangers. There are two sides to this coin, We’ve won a cup, qualified to Europe and played in the champions league under the leadership of ‘life long’ Rangers fan management. We’ve had many ‘life long’ Rangers fans in C&A. We named a stand after one FFS!!!! So, perhaps it’s a little hypocritical to chastise one of our own for doing the same thing. His appointment is a sensible one for Gerrard. They are old mates, he knows the league, he knows the people and they’ll have each other’s back. Football is an industry. A profession. Im surprised at the shock and awe by some.

  2. Today was a bad result with poor team and individual performances but the comments by some on this forum leave me shaking my head. I'm not a 'happy clapper' and can be critical of lack of effort but any player can have an off-day. I'm a fan for over 50 years who can put into perspective our wins and defeats, particularly this season with the rebuilt squad. We have reached 2 cup finals and going to finish 7th/8th. Yes a 5-1 home defeat hurts but some of my fellow 'Well fans need to relax and enjoy the claret and amber rollercoaster ride. We could be fighting relegation but have the 19th May to look forward to, with or without a few dozen folk who are undecided whether to buy a ticket or not. I find it hard to believe that today's defeat would lose us hundreds of cup ticket sales, I don't know of anyone who has suggested that their decision to go to Hampden or not will be dependent on the last few league results. Just remember the effort, desire and heart that this completely new squad have shown in the cup games this season and give them our 100% backing. Stephen Robinson has been in charge for 12 cup games with only 1 defeat. COYW.

  3. Absolutely. As such, he may be in for a rude awakening when he discovers that the war chest at Ibrox contains two dead spiders, £3.80 in loose change and an old but beautiful sash.

  4. I think I misunderstood your overall point so apologies! In my experience that has always been the case, mostly because of the reasons Andy highlighted above. However, it definitely should have been communicated to you at the point of sale. Overall though I think the ticket staff have done a very good job this season under difficult circumstances.

  6. Fuck enjoying a 5-1 home defeat to as poor a St Johnstone side as we've seen in a few years, especially 2 weeks before a (still rare) cup final appearance Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

  7. Anyone who thinks us losing to St Johnstone today will affect whether or not people go to the cup final is off their head.

  8. We've had much the same experience. I phoned up early on the morning the tickets went on sale but our purchase was held back until last Thursday, 6 days afterwards . We asked for the South Stand lower and ok thats the stand we were allocated. However I asked for the rear and didn't get it and was also allocated the west end of the South Stand, which we didn't want. Not only that our party has been allocated two separate groups of seats 4 rows apart (despite all tickets being ordered at the same time). If we stick to our allocated seats it means that families will get split. I appreciate that holding back telephone purchases might be easier administratively for the club but its not convenient for many fans. Disappointing to say the least!

  9. If you are a regular on this forum then I am surprised you are surprised by some of the comments. It is a regular feature for some posters. We could win 30 games in a row and lose game 31 and it would be the end of the world and Robinson must go. Just the way it works. There is very little perspective imho when it comes to some defeats. That said not just one player had an off day today. Virtually the whole team did. Dunne has improved no end as the season progressed but today was as bad as he has been this season. Same applies to McHugh. Even Main and Carson were not really at it today. It was just a strange game. We defended as badly as we could have. Let us hope we can restore some pride come Tuesday evening especially as I will head along. All that said part of me wants Hamilton to come to Fir Park at the weekend with something at stake for them and for that to happen Thistle probably need to win. Another part of me wants Hamilton safe come the weekend so they don’t injure any of our players in a all out battle. Hopefully today serves as a wake up call ahead of the final 2 league games.

  11. Ciftci started fairly brightly but that second half performance from him was diabolical. Part of our problem is so many of our players are guaranteed a start no matter how badly they are playing. Mchugh and cadden are woefully out of form bordering on hopeless but continue to start games

  12. To be honest the score line flatters St.Johnstone a bit but we've come out in the run up to a final and played at pre-season pace and that's really disappointing. Very, very low intensity match until the visitors scored. They went up a few gears we didn't. We have absolutely nothing middle to front and Ciftci is basically a waste of space and a midfield of Grimshaw, McHugh and Campbell isn't a go-er I'm afraid.

  14. Just a heads up anyone picking up there tickets from telephone sales ive just been told they don't actually allocate your seat until later in the day ie after everyone else buys theres. So when they asked on the phone if you have a preference on seating there's little chance you will get anywhere near it. For example I asked for nearer the front minutes after the tickets went on sale and got the very back row. Lol.. Also was charged for 8 tickets but given 7, so now I have someone sitting in a completely different section. Accidents happen but pretty vexing. Roll on ticketmaster

  15. Got the very same sox. Great colours and comfy too. Are we up for the cup. Is there a buzz about the place ? Not sure tbh. But as Sir Stevie says if you have an ounce of Claret and Amber about u then get your arse to the final. To do otherwise would b shameful. Win or lose this team deserve a huge amount of respect. Let us not forget that only ONCE in our entire history have we qualified fir 2 Cup finals in a season. Well twice now. Think about it we have been around for 125 years plus. Stop fkin about and get your arse to Hampden
